Immaculate site. Very level hardstanding, water etc very handy to vans. Gemma owner very friendly&helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Think our sat nav took us wrong way as narrow lane@one point. But now know better route! If you like quiet & peaceful this will suite you.
Right in middle countryside but near to, lot of places of interest.

Gemma is the Youngest park owner in the country and she is very good, Always ready to help out when she can and never stopping for a second. The Toilet block is immaculate, Pitches are level, Chemical disposal is clean within it's own room and the gray water disposal is good as well.
The site is quiet with minimal road noise, access is good for even the largest unit.
We will be back when we can.

Just returned from a lovely relaxing stay at Glenfield. You could not find a more welcoming, friendly and hard working host as Gemma, as said in previous posts, nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are kept immaculate, as are the toilets and showers. There are some beautiful walks around and about in the gorgeous surrounding countryside. Our dogs loved it! We are so glad that we found this place, I'd 100% recommend it if you are after somewhere friendly, peaceful and well kept. Keep up the good work Gemma!

We have just returned from a 4 night break to Glenfield Caravan Park. We opted to stay here as it is fairly close to Bramham Park for the annual international horse trails which are held there every June. Our stay was fantastic from start to finish. We have met Gemma before as we have stayed at her mum's site (Haigfield) which is now a static-only site just further down the road. Gemma is lovely - so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is a bother and she goes the extra mile to make sure that you are happy with your pitch/facilities/access to wifi etc. The site is immaculate - from the well-tendered gardens to the fantastic shower/facilities block. If you want a relaxing break on a small and intimate site, book Glenfield. We don't have children (just two border terriers) so if we're being totally honest, we prefer sites without the dreaded play areas! The Bingley Arms does exceptional food - they happily accommodated 16 of us for dinner on Saturday night after I made a telephone call to them earlier in the week - Gemma very kindly gave us a voucher for 10 percent off our food bill which was welcomed. The pub is a fair hike down the hill, so unless you have a nominated driver, it would be wise to book a taxi for the trip back! We've decided to extend our stay next year to a week in order to make the most of our stay in a beautiful part of Yorkshire. Thanks Gemma - you're a little star!

A tidy, well kept site run by the very friendly Gemma. It wasn’t quiet thanks to several constantly barking dogs at a property nearby (nothing to do with the site). Also there appears to be no noise policy in place so we were kept awake by a large group of carousing Morris Dancers and Techno Trance music from a nearby tent until well after midnight. Thankfully the noisy campers left the next day then it was quiet at night for the rest of our stay. The facilities were excellent, modern and very well equipped and maintained to a 5* hotel standard. The laundry/dishwashing room was super and even the chemical waste room had a basin and hand cleanser. None of the pubs are walking distance as the roads leading away from the site have no paths and could be dangerous. If you want a tasty, good value meal with the kids (a carvery and plenty of children's meals) The Wellington on the A58 towards Leeds would be great if a little noisy.

Just arrived home after a 2 night stay at Glenfield. Haven't got 1 wrong word to say. Gemma is a fantastic host, friendly, knowledgeable and keeps the most amazing clean & tidy site. Pitches are well spaced out, shower block is spotless and the peace and quiet was just what we needed.
Lovely walks in the area although as with many countryside lanes there are few formal pavements but this was not an issue for us and our boys and dogs.
Had a great meal at the Bingley Arms.
Just wish we could have stayed a few days more.
I would say this is not a site for younger children who may wish to run free/play ball games, our boys are 10 and 12 so are past this stage and more than happy to just sit and chill out.

We have just spent 4 nights at Glenfield, and what a great little site this is.
To start with there's Gemma. She works harder than she should, and never takes a break. She's always ready with a chat and a smile, and works tirelessly either cleaning up, trimming grass, making alterations or doing her best to make your stay (and the campsite) the best it can be.
Then there's the peace and quiet. If you're looking for a quiet little site with great facilities then look no further. The icing on the cake are the red Kites that swirl and play in the wind around the surrounding fields and trees. We counted 6 at one point.
You've got the Bingley Arms a short drive (or a little hilly walk) away, and that's a charming little pub - the oldest in England and worth a look.
The facilities on the site are great and VERY well maintained. There are flannels and a real towel in the washing area; step-in wet-floor style showers with lots of limitless good hot water and they are just so clean and reassuring.
There are taps and hook-up points all over the place. We didn't even have to move the van to get water (we have one of those self-extending blue hoses), and the pitches are all superb and flat. The electric is also 16 amps, so it won't trip out.
Everything feels fresh and well maintained, and if Gemma can help she certainly will - she's always there!
This place is well worth a visit as it's close to Leeds, Wetherby, York and many attractions, and it's only about 5 miles off the A1, if that. We visited the Royal Armouries and Yorkshire Air Museum while we were there.
It only falls down on suitability for kids (no ball games allowed as there's nowhere for them) but then if you've got slightly older kids, or babies (or no kids) then this is definitely the site for you.

As senior citizens we enjoy the welcome which was lovely, the toilet block being clean and warm and the site being quiet. In close location to visit family in Leeds and Harrogate with easy car access to shops and restaurants as well as museums and local sites. TV reception is good and the hard standing is new flat concrete. Excellent!

Just spent a night at the best campsite that we have come accross!
It's a perfect setting - all we could hear when we woke up was the singing of the birds!
The toilet block is immaculate and spotlessly clean as was the laundry room.
There was just the right amount of caravans too - the refuse area was very discreet behind the hedge - blink and you miss it!
The new hard standing pitch was brilliant - didn't need to level the caravan at all! The setting was lovely and very well maintained.
Gemma was very welcoming and made sure everything was ok.
In the evening we drove the mile to the Bingley Arms and had a fantastic valentines meal. We left the car and walked 20 mins to pick it up in the morning.
The site is close to Leeds, Wetherby, Harrogate and easy reach of York, so is a great base for anyone wanting to check out this area.
This site is gorgeous! Its a jem of campsite and we can't wait to go back!

A well run site, beautifully laid out with level hardstanding pitches most with 16A hook-ups. Quiet country location with oldest pub in England located about half a mile away(no food on Mondays!) and amazing flights of Red Kites and Buzzards around the fields locally. Toilet/shower block very clean with plenty of hot water, soap and towels provided at washbowls. Laundry and dishwashing room well stocked and plenty of local information on hand. Site owner very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Well worth staying at for visiting around the Leeds area. Wifi available at very reasonable rates.
