Visited Kirkstead Holiday Park on a very busy and sunny bank holiday weekend as a family of 4 (2Adults,1child& a baby) in a 6 berth Sunncamp Vario 6+ tent. I rang the site on the Saturday morning of our departure, staff were very helpful right from the start. They checked availability and rang me back pre-warning me that it was a busy weekend and to be patient as facilities were up to capacity.
On arrival however we were very pleasantly surprised. We were shown to our pitch which was spacious and level and excellent for pegging. Toilet and shower block were small but we never found them overly busy and they were clean and well maintained. There was a club on the site which served food at reasonable prices and which had free entertainment on night-times.
Kirkstead is a walkable distance to the beach and about a mile from Sutton on Sea, the nearest shops are in Sutton which is a very pleasant seaside village.Mablethorpe is only a couple of miles away and there is lots of the usual seaside entertainment.
We would definitely pay a return visit.

Took our folding camper out to kirkstead for the first time , staff very helpful , shown to our pitch .it took about an hour to put the camper up being our first time. Then we had four get days great club house excellent value for money evening meals. Play area right outside. Really clean toilet block, we will visit again.

First time on this site, lovely grassy area to site your caravan on, good club on the site with entertainment and a games room. The only thing that let the site down was the toilet block as it only had 2 toilets and 2 showers, to have a shower you had to purchase a shower card from the bar which was 50p for about 5 minutes, the site was busy so had to queue quite a while, also works out quite expensive as well.

Our 2nd visit to Kirkstead, really enjoyed it again. Clean facilities, friendly owners always around to help when required. Good quality food from the clubhouse at very reasonable prices and good entertainment. Nice quiet area but not too far to walk to local attractions. Can't wait to go back again.

After a frantic search for somewhere to stay over August bank holiday this campsite fitted us in {3 families in all last minute decision} overall very nice and pleasant site. Well maintained and shower / toilet facilities were kept clean {cleaning lady in at 5.00am}, small childrens playarea on site as well as a clubhouse with pool table amusements etc. Arrived late afternoon and reception staff very helpful, got shown to our pitch which was very spacious 6 metres from other campers. No pubs surrounding this site so took PLENTY of our own. Never saw kids in daytime on site due to big cornfield and muck stacks, they were in their element playing hide and seek. Plenty of room for football / cricket too. Overall reasonably priced secure site {£10.00 returnable barrier key, £2.50 returnable shower block key} Clean, friendly and enjoyable: would highly recommend and will be revisiting.

The night before we arrived they had a right downpour and all the tents had left, some peoples clothes were still being dried in launderette by staff. Because we had booked earlier they let us on, the weather took a turn for the better and we had a great time, the staff were friendly, the club was o.k and I went to my first pub auction there. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be returning soon.

We stayed here for the weekend in June. Arrived at 11am Saturday morning and didn't leave until Sunday 5pm yet we were only charged for one night. Bar nice with a kids play area right outside. Facilities excellent and very clean. Would definitely use again.
