Everything great, just like last year.
(We thought it was going to be a bit noisier when a few more units turned up on Friday night after we'd enjoyed a quiet week in excellent weather but there were no problems at all and we all got a good night's sleep.)
Really good food in The Crown (nearest pub and within walking distance) - also good was the menu at The Blacksmiths at Lastingham - a 5 minute drive.
We've booked to go back in four weeks as we didn't have time to do all the things we wanted to. It's such a great base for the Moors and Coast and such a friendly site.

This site is a lovely place, very well kept & tidy.
The toilets and showers are imaculate.
The owners seem very friendly and give good advice on arrival, about walks, pubs in the area.
One bit of advice for late arrivals? do not think you can go in to the village for a late meal, we arrived at the bar at 8.02pm and they dont serve food after 8pm? Although I must say the beer was very good. The fish shop in Kirbymoorside also closes at 8pm, but it was mid week when we stayed, so maybe it is different at the weekends
The site is ideal for touring the North Yorkshire moors and coast, we will definitely be returning there.

We had a briliant stay here. (Mum,Dad and boys age 7 and 2)
There are great facilities here - plenty of good showers with free hot water and loads of changing space.
Clean well lit loos and washing areas.
Quiet, clean, friendly and very well-run site.
It ticks all the boxes!
Ideal for children as there is lots of safe playing space for games. There's a lovely trail around farm, ideal for an evening walk.
It's an easy walk down to the village and the site is handily located for trips all over the NY Moors.
The owners are careful not to crowd the site which is a real plus; the space is quite luxurious compared to other sites!
We are returning soon and everyone is looking forward to re-visiting Westfield Lodge.

Highly recommend this site.
Good location - above village of Hutton Le Hole. Sat nav not entirely accurate. Access to village by road or a footpath through a field - quite steep but not too long (10 mins ish.) Beautiful area. Lovely Museum and craft shops - great for rainy day/entertaining kids.
Clean site and clean facilities.
In ladies - 1 family shower room and a smaller shower room, toilet. In Unisex area - 3 showers, 4 toilets. (Not sure about mens'.)
Sells essentials but really need to have packed everything or take trip to near town.
'The Crown' did good food and were friendly. Lastingham also had excellent pub for food.

A very clean , well laid out, friendly and quiet family site. The owners and staff where helpful with time for a chat. The showers and toilets are beyond reproach. The owners sell a limited amount of produce, possibly they could consider selling a wider range but as the only thing i can recommend that would improve their service it is of little matter. I have already passed the sites details onto friends

I cannot recommend this site enough. The location is fantastic, and pitches for both caravans and tents very well maintained, and spacious. The area is brilliant - away from all the hustle and bustle, but still near enough to larger towns if you prefer. The walking is just excellent - very peaceful and tranquil. The facilities were excellent - all very clean and showers free, for a change! I really cannot fault this site at all, and we shall certainly be returning. We only live about 45 minutes away on the coast, but to come over to the moors for a change is like a breath of fresh air.

This was just the most excellent site we've been to yet! We booked on the spur of the moment and arrived earlier than the pitch available time. This was no problem as the site was quite quiet. There was a map and plenty of information regarding site rules, emergency telephone numbers, the facilities around and where to eat. The site is split into a couple of areas. One part for caravans with hard-standing mixed with pitches for tourers and motorhomes. Through a hedge there is a huge (and I mean huge) field with electric hook-ups for tents, tourers and motorhomes. There is a farm walk, which is lovely for dogs and visitors, coupled with walks down to the village (or up from the village) with spectacular views. The shower facilities are second to none; so clean, spacious and modern, with family showers. There are also further showers in another area with laundry facilities. The surrounding areas are splendid for walking and outdoor pursuits and the many villages provide some lovely opportunites to sample the local brew. It is obvious that the owners have worked incredibly hard to make this place a success- which it is. The weather was so good we decided to stay for 3 nights instead of 2. We feel another visit coming on soon
