This was the last of the 14 sites we visited on our two week journey and by far the best! If we had gone there first, it would have been hard to travel onwards! Incredible value for all the facilities you receive here.
The showers are immaculate, obviously quite new and incredibly clean. The garden itself is lovely, you truly feel you are in your 'own' home here, assisted by the fact that the owner George is such a delightful character, who does not over fuss about 'rules and regulations' that many other owners do; he just makes you feel incredibly welcome!
Another huge bonus are the TV aerial wires you can use for perfect picture reception, I have not come across a camp which provides a service like this before; you have to provide your own connections normally and the prices of such camps are 3 times the amount you would pay here!
There are wooden benches all over the garden so no need to set up your own tables, and of course all the usual facilities of an excellent site.
The village has a pub which doubles as a post office and garage which is also a general store. The villagers are exceedingly friendly, and of course an added bonus is that Stonehenge is just down the road!

Stayed here for a weekend whilst visiting relatives and couldn't have wished for a better site!Despite it being high season it was pretty peaceful - we shared the field with dutch, german and british families - children running about but everything under control and quiet by 9pm.
The toilet block (refitted last winter) was immaculate and also had a laundry room with coin in the slot washers and driers and washing up area. The owner and his family were very relaxed and friendly - we left our washing out to dry and when it to threatened rain they took it in for us (and folded it beautifully!).
The site is on the edge of Tilshead - there's a convenience store and decent looking pub (didn't visit). The only very minor drawback is it's proximity to the Salisbury road - you do hear the occasional swish of passing traffic - but it's easy to find and at a flat rate of £12 a night it's brilliant value.

The site is easy to find, small and very friendly. The owners are lovely and the toilets and showers are the cleanest I have seen at a campsite. Our needs were simple as we are virtually self-sufficient in a motorhome and we do not have young children.
The Rose and Crown pub (which includes post office) is a 3 minute walk away and also friendly, as is the fuel station/general store a little further along the road. Good location for visiting Longleat (which I highly recommend and Bath). Will definitely stay there again.

My partner, dog and I stayed at Brades Acre for 19 days as my partner was working near by. The campsite and owners was lovely, although we did encounter a lot of insects (spiders/earwigs) more than anywhere we have before. Please be aware this site is next to M.O.D land so you do hear gun and tank fire during the day. Only one night did we hear it.
The toilets are very clean and modern although only 1 shower and 2 toilets I only waited twice for the shower and never for the loo.
The only drawback is you have to pay for shower at 50p for about 5 mins. The hairdryer is also the same price.
There is indoor washing up facility and also washing machines and tumble dryers (not sure on price as we never used them).
The village itself is very small but beautiful. Public footpaths run behind the campsite so you can miss the roads as there is no pavement for 50 yards into village. There is a pub with post office inside, a petrol garage with general store selling basics and alcohol.
Devies is not a far car journey away and there you can find big supermarket (we found morrrisons the best). Devies is also very pretty with a river you can walk down.
Overall a great site, excellent value for money as our 19 night stay cost £180. We Will return.

When the kids and I went there for the first time, we was very happy to be there. Everyone was friendly, even the locals were very nice.
It had very nice clean showers and WCs.
The local pub is very friendly for the kids. Other people on site were very friendly. There was 2 horses there in a field which the kids loved and loads of wildlife there, I saw a badger there one night. Will go again very soon.
100% for the campsite, 100% on the price.

Very surprised how clean the site was the first impression of the camp site is amazing
As we arrived we was greeted by the owner he was very friendly.
This visit was during the world cup and we was worried in case we missed the first England match and believe me the owner and his family went out of their way to make sure we did not miss it. He offered us the choice to watch the game on his patio with him and his friend, or he even offered us a small portable telly to watch outside our tent. The service here is second to none
The shower facility was very clean the toilets were even cleaner and smelled fresh. All on the site were very friendly. This family business is second to none and I highly recommend this site to anyone
Also I can guarantee that this will not be my last visit I will make this number one on the top ten list for being the most friendly camp site I've been to also the kids were able to run around with no complaints really I cant say anything bad about the
Camp site so friendly

Due to lack of forward planning we booked to stay at this site during the Summer Solstice, forgetting the annual festivities at nearby Stonehenge. Nevertheless, ths site remained fairly peaceful, and always clean and tidy. The sunrise worshippers left after dark and returned sometime in the small hours and must have been very quiet for we didn't wake at all. It may have been something to do with the long walk we had that day. The site is very good for striking out in all directions on to the plain, and I should imagine that you could stay for some time and still not exhaust them.
There is a pub and garage with off licence in the village, and the next village on is easily reached by bike and it has a small supermarket. We also did a lovely 40 mile bike ride, taking diverse scenery, from war games on the plain, to Stonehenge (the morning after the night before) then to Amesbury and the lovely Avon and Wylie valleys with their beautiful cottages.
All in all a very good base and we would definitely use it again.
