We drove a long way from Cheshire to Kent and were very pleased to eventually find the site, (had to stop for directions). The staff were very helpful, and we were allowed to pick our own pitch on this very flat site. The shower / toilet block is kept very clean and tidy, and the water was hot. We had no children with us , but a play ground is provided, as is a large dog walking area. There is a small shop on site, however there are supermarkets in Hythe.
The ground are well kept, and our pitch provided a view of the wildlife park on the hill to the north (not every site gives you a view of zebra and giraffes grazing).
We were only on site for 4 nights and didn't have time to visit all the sites, but I would recommend a drive around the villages and hamlets of Romney Marsh, there are some wonderful old churches to see.

This is the first site we had visited as we are first time 'caravanner's' and must say how pleased we were indeed. A very friendly and helpful welcome to be had and we were able to pick our own pitch from what was available. The campsite itself and toilet and shower block were spotless. Plenty of space between pitches. The scenery surrounding the campsite was beautiful, but only country lanes for strolling. Only a twenty 'minuteish' walk to The Boltophs Bridge Inn, down the road but a bit longer stagger back lol. The dog walking area was fine. Yes we shall return.

My family and I have just spent 9 days at this beautiful cc site. If you like lots of room on your cc site, this is the one for you. No levelling blocks are required as the site is completely flat. Toilet and shower block kept very clean but get ready to queue up to use these facilities when site is busy. Block closed for cleaning 11 - 12 every day. There is a small play area and a very large play field on this site. The dog walk is a good size. This site is perfect to take your cycles to as the area is very flat and there are many routes to take to villages and the beach. There is so much to do in this area and we enjoyed our stay very much. My constructive criticism of this site is, the male wardens on this site make theire own rules up as they go. Example, there is a 'no tents' sign as you enter the site, the wardens allowed tents. All cc sites do not allow you to arrive before 12 noon and you must vacate your pitch by the same time, the wardens let you arrive and depart when they decide. This can cause a problem as the road that leads to this site is a single track road of about 2 miles and if you meet another caravan coming the opposite way?

Just spent 4days here and really enjoyed our stay, lovely site and friendly wardens, showers and toilets excellent always clean and plenty of hot water.
Its a nice peaceful site to chill out in would highly recommend it, Hythe has a nice little town and plenty of supermarkets.
And we went on the Hythe & Dymchurch railway,so worth a visit too.
Will be going back again soon.

Went to this site for the first time, as a stop over to France (first time abroad). The welcome was extremely friendly. We had no problem getting on our pitch opposite the toilet block and water. The facilities were completely spotless. Being disabled I found access no problem. Site was nice and flat and pitches were a really nice size. Will definitely stay there again and not just as a stop over for France.

Have just spent the best camping weekend ever at this site. Showers are like brand new, plenty of hot water and spotless. Pitches are very roomy, lovely flat grass and hard standing areas. Several water and waste disposal points. Massive football field/grass play area and small childrens play area with climbing frame etc. Wardens were very helpful and friendly. Site is ideally placed for local coastal areas, not too far from a great Indian takeaway and easy to find. We have booked to go back in two weeks time as we loved it as well as the kids (didn't see them all weekend, always up on the football pitch - bliss for any parents). Very cheap to stay, Caravan Club members only I think, so worth joining if you don't already belong just to have one great weekend there. Can't wait to go back.
