Quiet site on edge of New Forest.

Site consists of a field - almost all on a slight hill with views across a field to a lake. Plenty of room on the site for 25+ pitches but C&CC rules only allow 5 caravans and tents where there is space- as it is sloping not many tents will be there.

Toilets are basic. Two Cubicles and 2 Urinals for the men and 1 cubicle for the ladies. Plenty of cobwebs! There are 2 showers under which it is possible to get wet if you are patient enough.

Watch the far end of the field after a heavy downpour as it is very hard to tow a caravan up the hill. Probably better to stay closer to the toilet block.

Laid back management sytle. We just pitched and the site manager arrived a day later to collect the fees. It is not immediately clear when you arrive how you would contact the manager if you needed to.

My main issue with the site was that if you wanted to take a walk from the site your only option was to walk back to the entrance and along the road - I'd have quite liked to leave the car behind.

I'd definitely consider returning to the site - it represents good value for money - but I think that I'd like to try some of the other sites in the area before I do.
