We stayed at Parc Derwen which is the ‘Adults Only’ section of Bron Derw Touring Park. The site is in a picturesque location with hills in the background and flowers and shrubs planted around the site.

It is well laid out with 23 hardstanding pitches covered in slate with grass in-between the pitches. All the walk-ways are covered in slate which means absolutely no mud. The pitches are multi-serviced with 16amp hook-up, drainage, drinking water and TV point, and have plenty of room for an awning and a car.

There are three showers and three toilets in a modern heated amenity block which is kept immaculately clean with a hand-dryer and hairdryer (20p). The only thing that stopped this site being perfect for me were the showers. Although the water was warm, the shower heads were very high up and delivered more of a misty spray than a flow of water – it was difficult to get all the shampoo out of my hair, especially with the lovely soft Welsh water. Also, although I am used to push button shower controls on sites, these were by far the worst I have come across and have been set at barely 10 seconds before needing another push. My husband said the showers in the gents were just as bad.

The utility area was great – iron & board, washing machine, tumble dryer and two sinks with draining board and racks all in a lovely warm ‘conservatory-type’ room at the back of the toilet/shower block. I noticed a dog shower and the waste disposal and rubbish areas were all very clean and tidy – a pleasure to use.

A lot of the pitches are seasonal which might make it difficult for touring caravans to get a pitch at certain times of the year.

The site is ideally situated about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Llanrwst which is a pleasant small town on the river Conwy. We ate at Tir a Môr fish & chip restaurant and thought the fish and chips were delicious.

The owners keep the site immaculate and are very pleasant and helpful people. We hope to have the good fortune to return one day, despite the poor flow from the showers!

Our visit in Sept 2012 was very pleasant, the owners were very helpful,

The site very well kept, very well drained ( lot of rain ! )

The toilet block excellent ( though showers could have been a little hotter ). Also quiet,

Convenient for Llanrwst, a pleasant town with good shops and cafes, and with very good access to Snowdonia.

The site is secure and suitable for pets, with a dog walk. We fully recommend this site

If your looking for a great, well run site then this is for you. Mrs Edwards is a warm & welcoming host. We stayed on the 'adults only' site, but having looked at the whole site I'd be happy pitched anywhere. The facilities are first class & kept spotless. Conwy is just down the road, with plenty of eateries and pubs, & Swallow falls is also close by and well worth a visit. Were not ones for revisiting campsites as there is a lot of the country that is still to be explored, but we would not hesitate to come here again.

Just returned from this site and found it to be of a very high quality.

Easy access from the road from Llandudno and as we arrived in the rain we spoke to the owners who told us to pitch were we liked and then when we had settled call in to reception to book in.

All pitches were fully serviced and spacious, loads of room for caravan, awning and car.

We stayed on the main field and the toilet block is immaculate. There were only two male showers and within the same building an excellent disabled shower room. There were even first aid kits in each room with emergency local telephone numbers, which I assume were to the reception ( nice touch ).

There is a dog walking area which is gated, however I did not use it as it has a stream along parts of the side and my six month old chocolate Lab would have been in as he loves water. The area for dogs is a good idea though.

This site is well situated for loads of places in North Wales.

Certainly worth a visit and the owners have done themselves proud with their site, well done.

This is a lovely well spaced site, plenty of room to manoeuvre your caravan. The pitches are all hardstanding with enough room for your caravan, awning and car all on the hard standing.

Each pitch is fully serviced with mains, fresh water, TV point and waste drain. Although some of the pitches were not directly next to the service points so make sure you have a full 25 metre hook up and fresh water pipe if using a mains water supply to your van. The waste drain is in the corner of each site so you won't need a long waste pipe. TV signal excellent using caravans own aerial so did not need to use the TV point.

There is a dog run area which is gated so you can let your dog off.

The showers and toilet block is extremely clean and was kept clean during the day. The showers are free and were hot every day we used them and the site was full, so not sure why some reviews mention 20p and only warm showers? (unless this is on the Caravan & Camping Club pitches (5 on a separate area))

There is also storage available at the site at a very good rate.

Make sure you visit the 15th century tea rooms 'Tu Hwnt i'r Bont' which is in the village over the stone bridge (by the way the bridge is 2 way traffic although you may not think so with the road markings!)

Plenty of local shops in the village which is a 10 minute walk away

Definitely would return, excellent

Just back from a great weekend at this excellent Site. We stayed on the Adult Only part, a recently developed self-contained area, with good views of the surrounding hills.

Excellent, modern, clean facilities block, with free Showers. They are the push button type, with a set temperature (or so it seemed), spacious and with plenty of hooks and even a hanger!

A good 50% of the pitches appeared to be 'Seasonal' which may account for the difficulty we had getting on to this site last Summer. All Pitches are 'Hardstanding' and 'Fully Serviced' with Electric, Fresh Water and a well designed drain for waste water, and all for just £18. 00 per night. A TV Aerial point is also provided, but we found reception fine via our Standard Aerial.

The Site is ideally situated between the Coast and the Mountains of Snowdonia, so you are spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring the area.

The nearby Bodnant Gardens (National Trust) are well worth a visit.

We will certainly visit again later this year.

Wow! How can we describe this site? Set in a stunning location but easily accessible with tremendous views over rolling green hills and distant mountains, this site is a real gem. Very close to some wonderful places - Swallow Falls, Llanberis Pass, Llandudno.

The shower and toilet block is very modern and clean and only 20p per shower. Pitch no 5 where we stayed was a bit tight for getting a full size awning erected but we managed it.

The owner if very friendly and helpful if you need it.

Just stayed here for 3 nights and I would like to say what a lovely site this is. It is well laid out and good spacing between pitches. Easy to manouvre about with your outfit. Nice location with a CL and Adult only section too although we stayed in the standard part of the site but we had a fully serviced pitch. TV reception excellent with our normal Caravan aerial! Facilities in the shower/toilet block are immaculate and heated so nice and warm when you get out of the shower. There is some fantastic sites around the site and if you get out in your car etc there is even better views in Snowdonia! Overall an excellent site near the North Wales coast and mountains too! Would certainly be coming back soon.

We stayed on the CL site during the autumn half term holidays (2 adults and 2 teenage children) and we all had a wonderful time. The full service pitches made life easier and the whole site is neat and well maintained.

I can only speak about the CL toilet/shower block, but this was wonderfully clean and one of the best we have seen in some 21 years of camping/caravanning (20p for shower)

Short walk into town with all the shops you need for supplies including a very good bakers, butchers and chip shop.

Good location for days out to Conway / Llandudno, Betws-y-coed and a little further for The Ffestiniog Railway, Snowdon etc.

Have booked for Easter 2012 already!

Our second visit to this fantastic site this year, again on the Adults site.

Only things we can complain about are the showers are not very hot, nor washing up water. Feel narky about people on the CL site using the Adults site free showers, etc, (they pay should 20p per shower on their site), never had to queue though but found it busy at times with people not on our site.

As it is a new site the hardstanding stones get everywhere, will be hoovering up our van for a while, as before. Sure this will settle down eventually. Noisy dog kennels close by but believe this is being sorted.

Don't be put off by the above, it is a brilliant site, all pitches fully serviced, Beryl and John are very meticulous about the product they are providing.
