Lovely site and location. One or two walks direct from site and the site is very close to Berwick, Holy Island and the Farne Islands. There were only two vans for the majority of our visit so facilities were ample. However, on the weekend there were a few more visitors and we found ourselves queueing for the showers. There is one mens and one ladies toilet, one shower and a wet room that has both shower and toilet in it. Toilets and showers were checked and cleaned everyday. Information room had plenty of local info in it. Wonderful views from site and if you walk up ThumbleHill you get a great view of Holy Island. Farne Islands are well worth a visit to see all the grey seals. We would definitely come back if in the area and would definitely recommend this site.

We spent a few nights at this lovely site at the end of May. We chose the site because we wanted to visit Lindisfarne and Berwick and the site is ideally located. Reading the reviews we knew there were no shops close by so we went prepared and planned our visits around when we would need to shop. The only thing we found a little disappointing was being asked to pitch our tents in the walled area, there was quite a slope in this area but we soon got used to levelling tables off and so forth. While we were pitching our tents a man came round to cut the grass, we wondered why as we had pre booked so they knew we were coming and we arrived later as we had made our way over to Holy Island first.
The facilities were well cared for and personally cleaned by the owner, consisting of a pot washing room, one male and female toilet with hand basin, shower and a lovely unisex wet room with shower, toilet and sink. It doesn't sound much but we never once had to wait. The information room was a nice touch with all the leaflets and guides on the area.
My 5 year old Granddaughter enjoyed exploring the farm, going to see the cow's and the pond. We went prepared with balls, kites and thing's to keep her happy, she particularly enjoyed exploring the rock pools on Holy Island and we took her back when the tide was in so she could see the island surrounded by the sea.
Our camping trip was enjoyed by all, we had a lovely time and I can recommend this camp site

I can honestly say that this was the most beautiful site that I have camped in. We stayed for three nights, right out in wonderful open country, not even overlooked by the lovely farm and cottages. At night there were carpets of stars. If a small, quiet and natural place to holiday is your thing, you will love it too.
Another of its great bonuses if that it is only 10 minutes driving to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, where campers are not allowed to stay nights.
The little facility block is charming and well kept with a washing-up room, a separate ladies and men's loo, a shower and a wet room, a little room for information (including all important Lindisfarne tides time-table), plenty of hot water and no extra charges. Plenty of electric hook ups too.
Although there are no handy 'walking distance' pubs for a meal out, there are plenty of lovely villages in easy driving distance for little shops and pubs etc.
If we ever manage to return to beautiful Northumberland we will stay at West Kyloe Farm again, that is for certain!

Gem of a site. Quiet, peaceful, picturesque. All the facilities are fine but not what you would call modern.
You are about 1 mile west of the A1, so access to local places to visit is easy.
Owners are easy to deal with and very pleasant. No signal for mobiles in this area unfortunately and no shop other than the Garage on the A1 (this is a proper mini supermarket, not just a garage)
Its a farm so there are farm animals in adjacent fields, but not a problem.
If you like peace and quiet, its perfect

I stayed a night in August and thought it was a lovely site. If you want a site with lots to do and very organised and busy, then don't go for this site. However, I like to feel close to nature and I loved the site. Whilst its true you can't see the sea from the site you can see far away fields and a lovely pond. There are nice walks all around.
I thought the facilities were enough, however, if the site had been full there may have been queueing for things. Some of the field was a bit sloping and the area for motor homes was a bit restricted, and if it had been busy we might have felt a bit squashed. But if you like the countryside and walks and peace and can go slightly out of season then this site is perfect.

Stayed for 5 nights with a small caravan. Found the facilities very dated and no lights at night meant that it was practically impossible to find the toilet block! The toilet were very clean but very old fashioned. The grass on the site is kept very short but they do not collect the clipping. Therefore by the time that we left our caravan was full of damp grass. I am not sure if the site would drain very well in heavy rain. The pitch around us was very soft. However I do appreciate that this year is not normal weather. It is a very peaceful site but was not for me.

We stayed here for the Jubilee week. It was booked some months before, and I was asked for a £20 deposit, which was fine. We paid £20 a night.
Site was very easy to find, five minutes drive from the A1. On arrival we followed the signs which directed us to pull up by the cottage to sign in. Mrs Smalley was very helpful and directed us where to pitch, I had asked on booking to be in the field rather than the walled garden area.
The site is small and sheltered with nice views, they have made a feature of the mill pond with nice planting. You would need to keep an eye on young children. They had obviously had a lot of rain as the grass was really wet.
The pitches are a bit uneven, you will need levellers (and a brick under the jockey wheel in our case!) but nothing onerous.
The facilities are limited but clean, but this is a small site. There was one ladies loo, one gents loo, one shower and one wetroom/bathroom. One point, there is no handbasin in the shower room which is annoying unless you brush your teeth in the shower! There is also a small information room, showing walks from the site (of which there are several) as well as local attractions and eateries. No playground, but it's not that sort of site, the kids will make their own fun.
This is a working farm, so you expect some animal noise. However, the bulls were in overdrive and extremely noisy, for hours at a time and in a field just a few feet from the van. Maybe just the time of year but it did get wearing over the week. Not the owners fault, I know.
As I said, we were there for the jubilee and one of the beacons was lit on a hill above the farm so we walked up to watch Mrs Smalley do the honours! A lovely occasion and nice to be part of the celebrations.
Overall, this is a nice little site in a lovely area, lots to see and do and close to the borders too.
Our one gripe, and it did come close to spoiling our stay, was the grass! Usually we prefer a grass pitch but the field had been mown, and the loose grass, and lots of it, left all over the field.
For a site of this size, and on a working farm with all the expensive farm machinery, I don't think its too much to ask that their sit on mower has a grass collection box! Within five minutes of arrival, on setting up the inside of the van was covered with wet grass. And it was a constant battle to keep it out of the van and awning during the rest of the stay.
As I say, this is a lovely little site, in a lovely area, and we would probably stay there again. But please, buy a grassbox!

We chose this site as we like the smaller, quieter sites. We were not disappointed - the site had everything we needed: electric hook-up, dishwashing facilities, CDP, and toilets & showers. Being a small site there are only three toilets (one ladies, one gents and one in a unisex wetroom) and two showers - but we found there was always one available when we needed one.
We had a 3 year old and a 3 month old with us and we found the large wet room to be ideal for us all to use together (we took the baby's pram in as there is no surface suitable for changing baby on). There was often a queue for the single sink provided for dishwashing, but the facilities were always clean and well maintained. Recycling bins are provided.
Some of the pitches are a little sloping but the surrounding farmland made a good point of interest for our 3 year old. (Don't be fooled by the picture on the website though - there is no coastal view from the campsite!) There are no specific child play areas or spaces for games, but the site is big enough to allow some freedom, and farm walks are mapped out.
The site is well positioned for the attractions of Berwick, Lindisfarne and Bamburgh/Seahouses. A little further afield but still a very simple drive away thanks to the proximity of the A1 are Alnwick, Morpeth and the numerous National Trust and English Heritage properties in the area. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning in the future.

A nice little site albeit quite expensive at £15 a night.
On arrival an eccentric little woman greeted us and wanted to put us in the walled area. I'm glad she changed her mind when she saw the size of our twin axle as I thought the walled area was very tight and did not have a view over the wonderful countryside.
In the end we pitched in the field which we were very happy about. The site had a lovely walk for the dogs up onto the hill. The facilities were good but were only 2 toilets, showers, but a wetroom was available. Not much for the money really.
A must is a visit to Bamburgh just down the road as it was lovely.
This site does have a large pond, so those with kids must be aware.

This is a wonderful little site set in a secluded spot on a 600 acre farm. It is quiet and peaceful. We were welcomed by the owner and invited to pitch where we wanted to.
There is plenty of room on the site, both on the main part and in the walled garden. Our toddler loved running around in the open space!
The facilities are well maintained and clean, washing up liquid and toilet roll were provided! On the down side, there are only 2 showers and 2 toilets. It is a little on the expensive side at £15 per night but we had a lovely time and would go back.
