Beautiful quiet site.
They have an information room that is full of things to do in the surrounding areas.
There was a list of walks that you can do from the campsite - I would highly recommend the walk around the forest - follow the arrows as marked -
You will find stunning views of holy island on the walk. (watch out for the cows!)
Toilet facilities - only one female and one male toilet and one shower BUT they have a wet room - the best thing ever! Toilet, sink and shower all in a massive room - you have to keep the door closed permanently which turns the wet room into a kind of sauna! This was such a good idea and brilliant for families as you could all get ready in the same room.
Clean site and facilities.
Tents can also use this site although not mentioned on this site.
I would highly recommend this site for anyone who would like a nice relaxing quiet holiday.
Would definitely return if were in the area again.

An excellent little site. The facilities were clean and even though the site was quite full we did not have to queue for showers or loos. We found the map of walks within the farm area very useful. As previously mentioned there are stunning views from them. The area is great for cycling too, along quiet lanes.

This is great site if you want and peaceful holiday and the facilities are clean and tidy. Everyone we met on site was very friendly and so were the owners. There are some nice pubs in the area that do good food. On site there are some wonderful views both from the caravan and when walking around the farm. There are also many places for interest to visit nearby, Berwick upon Tweed and Scotland not too far away

What a delight! Very relaxed site, with only the usual rules. Plenty of room. Dog friendly, with super walks right from the site, and nowhere on the farm is out-of-bounds to the camper.
The site itself is quite pleasant, with a pond and surrounding hills, and a walk of about 1 minute gets you fantastic views of Holy Island. The facilities are modern and clean, however we felt that there were not enough toilets and showers - at busy times, you would have to be prepared to queue.
This is a site for people who want a relaxed and peaceful place to stay - if you want a shop, bar, play area, etc. - move on!

This is a very pleasant and rural site. Pitching is left to the individual camper which can have it's disadvantages. The facilities are clean but there is only 1 male toilet, 1 female toilet and 1 shared shower. Given the number of pitches, these facilities are not adequate, it does not justify the cost of £15 per night for a motorhome. Either add to the facilities or reduce the cost. Motorhomers in particular are a bit stranded here as there is not a village within 2 miles and no public transport or shop or even newspaper supply on site. In truth the proprietors could do better but probably don't think it is necessary to go the extra mile.

I stayed on this site for a full week. There was myself, my son and the dog. There was electric hook ups etc and very large spaces for the caravans, campers and tents. No one was on top of each other!
The sight was really very clean, all the guests we spoke to were very friendly and we found a few had been returning back to the site for quite a while. The Shower room and wet room were Clean and the water was always hot!
Although there was no play area, the children on the site played well together. I will say they didn't disturb the other residents either as there was plenty of space for them to play in.
The view from the hill near the site was absolutely fabulous, when it was sunny you could see Lindisfarne!
There are plenty of walks within the area and it may have been to our adantage to have taken the bikes. As the coast is only a few miles from the site, but we found that parking along the shoreline was pretty easily found.
What fantastic beaches they have within area! Rock pools and soft sand and plenty of sand dunes to block out the wind. The wind came in handy for kite flying though!
We had a wonderful time within the local area, although the weather was nice one day, then wet the next this didn't dampen our holiday. We found there was plenty to do and see within the town and villages close by.
I found that there are planty of supermarkets close by and thought that the Berwick Saturday Market was very much small town market but reasonably priced too. We went for lunch a few times to The Oxford Farm Shop and Cafe. Excellent food, very reasonably priced and fantastic cakes!
On the wet day we went swimming at the local swimming baths at Berwick. It is a fun pool, with waves and slide etc; as it was school holidays and wet they used a coloured band system; worth checking when the sessions are on. Staff are very friendly!
On the dry day's we visited local town and did various sight seeing things. One of the best trips was the Boat trip around the Farne Isles. Well worth the money spent.
I would consider going back again. It was nice to step out of the rat race for awhile. Although there was no bar etc, it wasn't missed. The atmosphere was wonderful.

June 2005 Small farm site with basic facilities. Probably enough room for about 20 piches? We didn't actually stay here but went to have a look. It was down a very long track - we didn't stay because we wanted to be able see the sea - which you can't from here. However its probably one of the few quite rural sites in the area!
