Perfect site: friendly, quiet, spacious, low key and ideal location for walking.
We chose Mount Farm as we made a last minute decision to capitalise on amazing BH weather, and only had one night available to go away, so picked a nearby location (Ratley is about 40 minutes away from home for us). No deposit required, and we only phoned Friday evening for Saturday afternoon arrival.
Maxine and Fergus were super friendly and welcoming, despite being incredibly busy having just taken over the site, and they have some great plans for the future. The current tariff for a medium tent with no hook up is £13 a night, which is a great price, and makes it a brilliant option for a few nights here and there on spec.
The ground was flat and nicely soft, with well kept grass; easy to find a good flat pitch, and easy to put in pegs. As we are no-hookup campers, we had a good sized field almost to ourselves, but there were two other fields with electric hookup tents and caravans nicely spaced out, so no one would have felt crowded. The facilities are basic but pleasant and well maintained, and the two showers and loos were sufficient for the number of campers staying. It sounds as if there'll be more amenities built over the next year, as the new owners have time to assess and improve the site; plus there are lots of exciting sounding plans about livestock and horses on the farm.
Loads of good walking; Ratley village leads into the Macmillan Way, and is about 10 minutes from the Burton Dassett Hills, so you're spoilt for choice. Small and pretty village, and very near lots of other nice places too (including a large garden centre, and a village called Shotteswell with an amazing children's play park).
At the entrance to the site is the local village's children's play park, and there's that wonderful sense of freedom to roam for our kids that we've always appreciated about camping. No fast roads or noisy traffic, just clear open skies and lots of fields to wander through.
Highly recommended.

Wow what an amazing and welcoming site.
We had the best weekend and best weather. The site is well kept and pretty with horses in the field and walks galore.
The new owners are chatty, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Definitely worth a visit and will be returning.

New owners. Lovely quiet site. Edge of the Cotswolds near some beautiful villages and typical country pubs. Dog friendly. Beautiful scenery. Easy to get to major towns. Will certainly be back. Thank you Fergus

Excellent location for walking and exploring the local area. Nicely situated away from main roads. Excellent village pub that welcomed dogs and was very friendly with excellent food.
Friendly lady running the campsite. Campsite is basic and has seen better days. Perfect for us but some may struggle. Facilities are all attached to the farmhouse. Signs were missing or hidden so difficult to find recycling bins and pot wash. The posh wash was a table with hot and cold water so you need to bring your own washing up bowl. Only 2 communal toilets with shower integral. Surprisingly we didn't ever have to wait. Lovely big disabled shower.
Campsite sheltered with large flat pitches
We would definitely return

Been to this site a few times and find it excellent. The pitches are good and most have a Picnic table provided. There are 2 showers, one being for disabled persons. Both hot and cold water is provided free of charge. The owner is an extremely nice lady. A playground and football pitch is just outside the site gates. Ratley village is beautiful and has a pub serving food. Edge hill woods are very near bye and great for walking in. This site is well worth many a visit and I would recommend it to anyone. Very peaceful and relaxing.

We stayed here for a weekend in August. The owner was very welcoming and gave us a full brief on facilities etc. The field was well maintained and very spacious. We were not crammed in or too close to the other campers.
There is only one toilet and shower which is in the same room. I thought this may be a problem with lots of other campers using the site but actually I never had to queue or wait to use the facilities. The toilet/shower were kept very clean and having to pay £1 for a hot, powerful shower was well worth it.
The location of the site is perfect if you enjoy walking. Guided walks start just down the road from the campsite. The pub in the village itself is lovely and welcoming and very reasonably priced. There is also a play ground/field just outside the campsite for children.
We really enjoyed our stay at Mount Farm and will be looking to return again soon.

My friends and I camped here last weekend to attend a Volvo enthusiast meet at Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon.
The facilities were clean and couldn't fault them, but there was only one shower and toilet which were both in the same room which was awkward at times. These were open 24 hours but once shut during the night the latch was difficult to open.
The campsite is in a nice rural setting and is close to Royal Leamington Spa.
We paid £7. 50 for an electric pitch we thought was reasonably priced but the £1 for a shower slightly strange.
However, the owner was not as friendly or helpful as we had imagined and our freedom on the campsite was greatly restricted, this was probably because were young (18-27 years old. ) and we didn't feel welcome during our stay. Although, we did have a man and his daughter staying with us and likewise they were not happy with he customer service. (I'd like to add that we drive Volvos, not exactly your average yob and it felt that this is what we were seen as. )
Throughout the stay, we get extremely unwanted and it was evident from the moment we got there the owner could not wait for us to leave.
We won't be camping here again.

We stayed at Mount Farm Caravan Site last night. We found It on this web page and called ahead to check they had space. The lady owner was lovely and when we arrived she gave us choice on whether to stay at top field or bottom field (both very close to each other). Bottom field I believe is £16 per night but includes electric hook up. The top field (where we stayed) starts from £13 per night and then you can purchase, if required, a pay as you go hook up card for the electric. She advised we buy 2 x £1 tickets but we were unlikely to need both for 1 night so she would refund us the second if it was unused. (We didn't need the second card).
The place is surrounded by farm animals and that is the only noise you hear, great for pictures!
The washroom is a small bathroom in the annex part to their house. It is immaculate at all times. It has a toilet, sink and shower cubicle and is open 24 hours a day. There is a charge of £1 for the shower but unlike some sites we have visited, the shower was hot, powerful and does not operate by a time switch.
There is a chemical disposal point, fresh water point and you are allowed to use of the ground BBQ's.
The farm does not have any hard standing places but the grass is immaculately kept and flat!
Definitely will return to here, thank you for our short but sweet stay.

The grass has been cut and the site is now in its former glory. We come here often and have been doing so for over twenty years.
The site is quiet and relaxing and a good centre for many places of interest.
We hope that if you see a dark blue Kia Sedona on site, you will come and say hello.
Banbury has a market on Thursday and Saturdays as well as a comprehensive shopping centre. If you have a bus pass you can use it to go to Banbury or Stratford-on-Avon, bus times are in the shelter just on Old Road.
If you have a dog then you can enjoy several walks provided you can cope with the ups and downs. The recreation field just outside the site is usefull to stretch the dog's legs and for the necessary! but don't forget your bags.
There is a good farm shop on the on the main road at Warmington and gas supplies can be obtained at Caravanland or Piles.
Have fun and enjoy.
