What a gem of a wee site. A lovely friendly couple run this site effectively in their back garden. You can pitch your unit pretty much anywhere you like on the field which is very well kept. You can be down near the facilities or away in a corner in your own little world. The field is surrounded by trees and plants and it is very beautiful.
A the top end of the field is a separate area for children to play although they can play anywhere on the field really as it is so big. This has a net for racket sports and provided is a box full of allsorts of balls, bats etc. Also provided was a croquet set which we took advantage of. There is wifi available near the main building or a nice picnic table to plonk yourself at if your unit is further away so you can sit and access the internet. The facilities don't really need mentioning as all previous reviews tell it as it is. They are massive roomy shower rooms x 2, each with toilet, sink and shower and bags of space. They are spotlessly clean with freshly laundered hand towels and soap dispensers. There is a big sink area for washing up and a washing machine to use at your leisure.
The hosts could not be friendly enough and even offered to help us out with food supplies as we hadn't got to the supermarket when we arrived there. They went above and beyond and even took our old broken toilet cartridge to the tip for us which we had replaced while we stayed there.
In the kitchen area were home grown potatoes you could help yourself to if you liked and also a bookcase with lots of local leaflets and information about the area.
The beach was literally a 30 minute drive maximum and this was a truly magnificent get away for a quiet few days.
We had an 11 year old with us and despite only being us and 1 or 2 other units on the site he kept himself occupied flying his kite, playing badminton/tennis etc and of course the essential wifi!
Definitely a site we would return to if passing close by for a night or two.
My only suggestion would be to add a table tennis table to the field as well as just for the cottage rental as obviously this was not available for us to use as there were people renting the cottage at the time of our stay and when we holiday in France every year we have a family table tennis competition which we couldn't continue while staying here. A minor suggestion, it was all we felt your site missed.
Hope to see you again in a couple of years as we are heading to Spain touring next year.
Many thanks
The Tarpeys

After more than 30 years of camping/caravanning we have finally found the perfect site!
Spacious, peaceful and easy-going, with facilities that are second to none - two immaculate shower rooms, washing-up area and washing machine.
This is the most relaxing place - perfect for winding down and recharging the batteries. We will definitely be back!
Thank you so much Ralph and Ann.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a base to watch the Tour de France from last week. The English owners were fantastic. Accommodating, friendly, helpful. The campsite was 'full' when we stayed - that was all 10 'pitches' taken - but there was still loads of space and we certainly didn't feel crammed in like we had at other sites. The shower and toilets were clean and well maintained. In fact, it was like being in a hotel, not on a campsite! If we are in the area again we will definitely make another stop. Thank you!

We found this pretty campsite in rural France. Perfect peace and quiet to relax and ideally situated to explore local region. From the beaches and headlands of the coast around St. Malo, Mont St Michel, to Rennes, Dinan (you must visit this gem) Josselin, the Foret de Brocéliande all within an hour on easy roads, and nearby Moncontour. The campsite is level, flat (not bumpy), fairly easy to drive pegs in. Plenty space 20-50 metres between campers. The site is surrounded by trees giving protection from the winds which can blow in Brittany. It cost just €12 per night for 2 persons tent and car, showers and hot water for dishes included. We thought this was very cheap considering the high standard of the site. There is EHU for €3 if you need it and waste disposal. The are several taps with potable water. The toilets and showers are the cleanest I've ever found on any site with plenty hot water day or night and the hand towels, shower curtains are changed daily. There is a washing area for dishes and a washing machine is available for €3. There is a play area for children. We planned to stay 3 days and stayed 5. The owners Ralph and Ann are a delightful and welcoming couple who having experience of touring in a caravan themselves have created a perfect site. Its a 15 minute walk down a very quiet country road to a local mini market for supplies. The night skies are incredible here, when did you last see the Milky Way in all its majesty. This campsite has everything except the noise, clubhouse, water park, shop, dirty toilets, cold showers and the overcrowding found on so many sites. I highly recommend this site.

We stayed at Pinabre end of June for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. It is a lovely site well laid out and in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Ralf and Ann were very friendly and helpful. We were travelling around France and stayed on 8 sites in total and Pinabre was by far the best toilet and shower facilities. We will certainly be back next year.

Firstly apologises for not submitting a review sooner, Ralph and Ann.
My wife and I would strongly recommend this campsite.
Ralph and Ann are the owners, and are warm and friendly people.
The camping area is well presented (you almost feel you're camping on someone's well manicured lawn); the facilities eg power, water, ablutions (toilet/shower/washing), clothes washing (washing machine), and washing up facilities are all excellent. Very clean, fully functional.
The countryside setting location wise is ideal for exploring a wide element of Brittany.

Hidden gem of a camp site, fantastic hosts, scrupulously clean facilities, booked for next year whilst still there. Couldn't recommend enough! But don't go, we want it to ourselves! Nice, level pitches, every pitch serviced, as much space as you need, within reasonable distance of town and to larger retail supermarkets. Outstanding!

What A Little Gem !
We found this site on the internet whilst planning our trip to France for this summer, oh boy are we glad we did this is the most fabulous CL we have ever been on such a find.
Great location for site seeing places like Loudeac, Moncontour, Both 8 miles distance and the pretty village of PLouguenast is only a ten minute walk which has a supermarket and tabac bar.
The CL is sent in a rural setting with country views and woodland walks.
The English owner's Ralph & Ann are a fabulous friendly couple nothing is too much trouble they keep the site in immaculate order ! The toilets and showers are kept to immaculate standards, which are cleaned every day and clean towels and shower curtains are changed everyday. There is a washing up area with ample sinks and washing machine facility's at very reasonable prices.
You have everything you need on this site for a relaxing holiday it really is the Jewel in the Crown
It met are expectation's and more, Ralph & Ann are truly doing a great job and know what people want and providing it to high standard's we certainly will be back to visit this site and spend time at this perfect location.

Loved this site. Ralph and Ann like old friends, although this was our first visit! Nothing too much trouble.
Very easy laid back site like uk cl sites, which we prefer.
Met some lovely people on site who had the same opinion.
The shower rooms, there were 2! Were immaculately clean with a change of shower curtains every day and the dish/clothes washing area spotless, always plenty of hot water. In this room plenty of information and leaflets, maps. I challenge anybody to better these facilities even some of the so called star rated sites!
We had two visitors came to see us daily a cat and a dog. The dog would come haring up at meal times like a lunatic and then run off as quickly. The cat ended up sitting on my knee.
Also plenty wildlife to be seen.
Nice area lots of interest, supermarket in nearby village, bigger town 8 miles for bigger more choice shop.
I felt very at home and will definitely visit when again in Brittany.

If you are looking for a peaceful rural location in travelling distance to the coast then look no further. The site has plenty of room for all, the feeling of space makes such a difference, add spotless facilities and you can see why Ralph and Ann get visitors returning each year, ourselves included!
