This small site is in the middle of a quiet area of Brittany in a very rural setting. The site is not very far from Roscof ferry port and there is easy access to the local towns and attractions.
The toilets and washing facilities are excellent, very clean and comfortable.
The site is spacious and close enough to the village of Plouguenast to be able to get supplies from the local shops. The owners are very welcoming and helpful.

This was our first caravan adventure in France and we clearly hit upon the very best of accommodation to ensure we had the most enjoyable experience to remember. We had read the reviews for the site before booking and our high expectations from those, were far exceeded. Ralph and Ann were exceptional hosts from the minute we arrived. Their help was well beyond the call of duty - Ann having hung out my washing for me at a dry chance (we had quite a bit of rain!). Also they made enquiries at the local vet to enable us to have our two dogs treated appropriately for our journey back to the UK saving us the time and trouble of having to source a service ourselves. We would endorse the detail of all previous reviews - the showers and toilets made us realise we need a revamp at home!
Despite inclement weather there was so much to do in the surrounding area, we were spoilt for choice. Wonderful location to walk the dogs and the most relaxing place to simply unwind and observe nature. Many of the places to visit are listed by others so I won't repeat but Dinan was a favourite for us.
We wish Ralph and Ann the success they richly deserve in their venture. We certainly intend to return but if you make it before us - take Ann some cheddar cheese - she's got withdrawal symptoms!

Having found this site via UKCampsite.co.uk it had a lot to live up to and did not disappoint.
The toilet facilities are the best we have found in France and comprise two shower rooms each with toilet and handbasin, washing up sink and washing machine. They are immaculate with plenty of hot water. Free wifi is included in the price.
The camping field is very large and well kept with plenty of electric points. It is well drained and did not give us any problems moving our unit after rain.
Owners are the perfect hosts with plenty of knowledge of the area. There are scenic walks from the site - they lent us a map - and many local sights to visit.

We stayed at the Pinabre for one night as part of our ten day tour of Brittany. Out of all of the campsites we stayed at Pinabre was a favourite.
We arrived in the late afternoon and were greeted straight away by Ann and Ralph. They were so welcoming and were quick to help us set up.
They even brought us a bottle of water so that we could make a coffee and were always available if we needed anything.
The facilities were by far the best I've ever seen. They were unbelievably clean and the shower was amazingly powerful with plenty of hot water.
We didn't get to see much of the surrounding area as it was a one night stop off before we travelled down to the coast but I wished we had stayed another night.
When we do another Brittany holiday, Pinabre will definitely be a place where we will stay again.

Just returned from 10 fabulous days at this site. Like others before us we had read the reviews of the site and wondered if it really could be that good. It really is and, whilst it would be tempting to keep this gem of a place a secret, that would not be fair to Ralph and Ann who work so hard to ensure that you have the best stay possible.
Their warmth and hospitality were evident as soon as we arrived and, with a rain storm about to break, Ralph pitched in immediately to help us get the tent up before the deluge started.
From then on until we left they couldn't do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We were travelling by motorcycle and therefore travelling light without some of the things that we would normally want to have the use of, like a BBQ for example. When we enquired as to whether the disposable variety could be bought locally we were promptly lent one for the duration of our stay!
The two shower rooms are truly immaculate as is the utility room. The shower curtains are washed every day and there is loads of hot water.
The site is spacious and located in a beautiful rural setting but within walking distance of the nearest village. There is plenty of level ground to pitch a tent and the grass is cut regularly. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place to be. We intend to return and hope that on the basis of all the superb reviews that it won't be fully booked as only 6 units are accommodated at any one time!

Having found this site in the classified section of the Camping & Caravan monthly, I read all the previous reviews in ukcampsite's pages and, without hesitation, emailed Ralph to check that he had a pitch available for a 10 day stay.
Everything said, by the various reviewers, is so true. Ralph and Ann have a lovely site which is unbelievably clean in all aspects and is located in a very quiet part of Brittany; well away from obvious tourist areas. This location tempts one to set out in a different direction each day and explore north and south coasts as well as the towns and forests in between.
The small town of Plougenast can be walked to but we made the 5 minute drive each time. The small supermarket is amazingly friendly and we didn't find a single member of staff unwilling to accept our attempts at rusty school french - so encouraging to carry on an exchange in the host country.
If you want to lose yourself deep in the french countryside, but would like to have the comfort of being accommodated by a couple of English friendlies who have committed themselves to living in France and running their Gite and campsite, this is the site to seriously consider.

Having read previous reviews I was worried that the owners had written them themselves as reports were so good. They were genuine! This is a gem of a find. It is akin to an excellent Caravan Club CL.
The wash / shower / toilet facilities were large and immaculate, new this summer and spotless. The water was hot and plentiful. The site was lush and green but not overgrown. It was very well tended. There was ample room for children's football without upsetting other campers. The site was open and sunny but with ample shade fringing it, one merely had to select how much one wanted as one pitched.
Wi Fi was free but, if it is vital, pitch towards the farmhouse end of the field. Water and Electrics were convenient and newly installed.
The owners were as helpful and friendly as one could wish for and yet not intrusive. They are extremely hard working. They offered free potatoes and tomatoes from their own vegetable garden.
Walks along the river to the village and cycling are worth pursuing, there is a hill to the location.
The medieval town of Moncontour is about 8 miles away, rated as one of the most beautiful in France and well worth exploring and dining in.
We will revisit and stay at Pinabre again.

A fantastic site - extremely hospitable owners, and wonderful facilities. The site has immaculate bathroom facilities, plenty of space and lots of peace and quiet.
The camp site is behind an attractive cottage, and is reasonably flat and well maintained. Water and electricity very conveniently sited. The site is secluded and bordered by trees, surrounded by farmland. A supermarket is about 2km away.
The wash facilities were immaculately clean - with warm showers. There are indoor washing up facilities as well as a washing machine.
There's plenty of sports equipment for children on site and the site owners always had time to help us find things to do in the region.
We found it an excellent base for getting around central Brittany especially to the great beaches to the North (30-40minutes away). Nearby are plenty of picturesque villages, cycle routes and canoe hire.
We especially enjoyed the local town of Moncontour where there are a couple of excellent restaurants in this unspoilt medieval town. Loudeac is a larger more contemporary town where there are plenty of shops.
The site is about midway between Roscoff and St Malo and it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours from either of these ports.

Small friendly site with excellent facilities for a small number of vans, hosts are friendly, pleasant and helpful. Ideally placed for visits to both the north and south coasts of Brittany. There is plenty of room on the field for games of football etc. Without annoying other caravanners. The local supermarket is about 5 mins away by car and the village also has bank, boulangerie etc. There is also a medieval town (Moncontour) very close that is well worth a visit and it has a good restaurant (La Mullete) that is good value for money.

If you're looking for a well run CL in a peaceful rural location, then look no further! I really cannot fault this site. Excellent facilities, easy access to the local town for shops, bars and restaurants, and friendly (British) owners for whom nothing is too much trouble. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking, road cycling and mountain biking, and the seaside is 30-40 minutes away, where you will find relaxed resorts and uncrowded beaches.
This is CL camping at its best.
