June 2004 We thought that this site is one of the best we have visited. It is situated in the centre of the 40-hectare California Country Park on the edge of the lake. Trees and rhododendrons surround the secluded pitches so you have a lot of privacy. Our young children loved playing in the woods and also in the children's play area and paddling pool in the country park next to the site. We saw lots of squirrels and birds too. The shower/toilet block was very clean and there is a small shop at reception with basics. We had a pitch with a hard standing area and its own electricity and water supply, although as we were in our trailer tent we needed to pitch it on the grass area. It’s a very friendly site and we would definitely recommend it.

June 2003 Nice clean & friendly site. only 3 showers per M/f blocks but being small site this was not a problem for us. All pitches in shade as all have very high trees around, some over look lake which is great for fishing. Some have total privacy as they have flora all around 3 sides. all pitches have water & electric with hard standing (except tent pitches) more in line with superior pitches at some other site. All in all 8+ out of 10 for us..
