Excellent site ! We stayed 4 nights over the heatwave and found the site to be very quiet, extremely clean and tidy and staffed by very friendly and helpful people. The bus-route to and from London worked extremely well with the bus stop being literally 20 feet from the site entrance barrier, a 35 minute ride to Walthamstow Central station and a 30-45 minute underground ride to central London. Travelcard (bus, train and underground within zones 1-4 all day) £5.40 per adult with kids going free. The only noise on the site was joy-riders/street racers on the other side of the reservoir late at night. No problems on site though just a slight annoyance particularly over the weekend nights. Lots to do round and about the area as well. Will definitely use this site again and cannot recommend enough to others.

Have just spent two nights here and thought it was a lovely campsite. Small, clean, quiet and friendly. Really lovely for young children - ours had a ball. The toilet and shower blocks were exceptionally clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would especially recommend this site to those living in East London who want to get away for the weekend. This site is 15 minutes drive from our house but felt like we had really left London! We will definitely be going back - soon!

Had a lovely stay at this site, Only 45 minutes away from central London but only £13 a night for a pitch and two people, And although it was a lovely june weekend are nearest neighbours were pitched about 50metres away, and we had a lovely spot beside some trees, Staff were very friendly and helpful, and answered all questions about travelling into london which is so simple, bus stops at the camp gate every 20 mins, then tube to central London, easy, the shop will sell you your day travel card aswell. What I loved about this site was after a day touring the sites in London, and the packed streets and places, you return to the campsite at night, and it,s so peaceful and rural again, Bliss.

Went to this site with as part of a group of two units. The site was very quiet being late September and the main facility block was closed.
The site is very easy to find and no problems with a caravan as only a few miles from the M25 and also is fairly close to trains into London for the foot passenger.
There is a large Tesco superstore about 3 miles from the site that offeres all groceries and a petrol station. There is an on-site shop selling a fair range of bits of pieces.
The nearest pub is about a mile along the main road, which I would say is not really suitable for younger ones to walk along.
The toilet and showers on site are clean and well maintained and provided hot water when we showered.
The site sites on a busy main road but did not really notice any traffic noise. The site is accessed by a key operated barrier system which they said locked at 10pm for extra security.
The site is not ideal for riding bikes straight from the site as you have to travel about 2 miles on the busy road before reaching the canal path, but once you reach the canal path you can ride all the way into London, which is about 20 miles and a very nice ride, ending up at Limehouse Basin.
Overall a good site, but if on the bikes again would not choose it as didn't like the busy road, but as a point to use to explore the City of London then superb.

August 2005 Just spent the bank holiday at this site, with our new tent. What a lovely site and really helpful people. Its not too big - just about right and not noisy either! The toilet and shower blocks were clean, although one of the blocks were shut whilst we were there. It is a site so close to London that we ventured out on the sunday and even ended up doing one of the walks from the local booklet in the shop 'Jack the Ripper' tour.
All in all the site, people and vicinity were all ideal. Would recommend this to all. Will definitely be going back again - and again.

May 2005 great site for visiting London or just relaxing. staff very friendly and good supply of tourist info on site. bus every 20 minutes or so to nearest tube station and you can be in central london in about 1 hour. We were there over Whitsun and site was quite quiet so no queues for showers etc. Will use again when going to London as prices and not to bad about thirteen pounds a night for 2 adults plus child and electric in peak season

May 2004 Spent the Bank Holiday weekend - what a superb campsite. Great facilities, has a reasonably priced shop with various services including lauderette, ice pack freezing, lots of lovely clean showers and toilets. Also had chemical toilet cleaning facilities.
The site is well maintained with lots of trees and flowers, the grass is well kept/cut. Security was catered for with pass-card barrier system onto site.
Oh yeah, if your a dog owner, this is a dog friendly site with separate dog walking area.
Site is very close to Epping Forest for some spectacular walking - would recommend this site in an instant.

Aug 2003 An excellent site, well ran and organised. Very secure with a security gate which is opened by a swipe card that is issued when you check in. The toilet and shower blocks are very clean and the showers large with free hot water.
The staff are very friendly and helpfull.A great base to visit London. I would strongly recomend this site.

May 2003 An excellent site with top notch new toilet/ shower and Kids Play facilities. Better than many Camping Club Sites! Bus Stop outside with great links into London. Secure Site with Keen Staff who are very friendly and helpful. Very Comprehensive Shop and plenty of London and surrounding area info available. Two newly refurbished pubs just a short stagger away and its only 10 minutes from the M25. We had a great time visiting Waltham Abbey and the Lee Valley Park. This really is the best site Ive stayed on for a long time and my whole family enjoyed it. So much so that I felt compelled to write a review !
