We visited this site at the beginning of November and although it was relatively quiet everywhere was clean, the toilet block was in easy reach of us and very nice, although we didn't need to use the showers so can't comment on them.
The walks around the park for the dog were fantastic, and plenty to do in the surrounding area. Both Tenterden and Cranbrook were very dog friendly and in Cranbrook we even found a tearoom that would allow us inside.
Our only criticism on the park is that it wasn't clear until we got there that we would have to pay for an aerial so we could watch tv, as we couldn't get a signal and the animal enclosures were very over grown and untidy, although it could have been because of the time of year.

Just returned from a wonderful 5 nights at tanners farm with 2 grandchildren and daughter(plus us granddad and grandma)This is our fourth stay at this site and everything is up to the standards that we remember and expect.
We have been blessed with glorious weather which makes camping all the better ! Walks are fantastic, took grandchildren from farm alongside river walk. Wildlife and scenery wonderful.
Only downside, and it is a small downside, please get a ride on on mower that collects grass, clippings! They get everywhere, inside your tent, caravan, shower blocks, washing up area etc.
This, as stated really is a small moan, wonderful site, people great, and when you wake up and pop your head out of the tent and look at the views you could be anywhere you want to be.
Disappointed that the small 'den making woodland' is no longer there.

The nicest campsite we've ever been on.
It is a great location and a beautiful site, very well spaced between pitches and the facilities were excellent.
A whole network of dog walks round the fields made it even better, and on top of all that it was very very good value for money.
The owners have put lots of thought and effort into the campsite, examples include preparing guides to walks from the campsite, freezers to store your own freezer packs and food, a shop providing freshly baked croissants and the essentials, etc.
We are looking forward to returning.

We have stayed at this campsite before, it is a stunning site with everything on site we as a young family of two children could want.
The only problem is the gentleman that owns the site is very unhelpful and for this reason I would never give him another penny of our money, He spoke to our children like rubbish and when we tried to re book he was very rude to my wife. NOT acceptable.
In closing a excellent camp site but run by rude incompetent idiot. Its worth driving on to a friendly site.

We've visited around 10 different sites over the past 2 years. We try to go for something that has good reviews and something for the kids to do. Apart from that, we're quite flexible in what we want from a campsite.
That's the background on us, I hope that helps you see the type of campers we are and, perhaps, help you with your opinion of our review.
Let me start by saying the immediate area around the site is lovely, in the middle of nowhere, peaceful and quiet. A couple of shops/restaurants within a 5 minute drive, so you're always able to get the essentials, if required.
The site itself is quite large, although you can see most places on the site from wherever you're based. It's a very well maintained site, grass cut and kept very clean. The Toilets and showers are immaculate, absolutely top rate. Enough water points so you don't have to walk more than 50 yards. Near the entrance you can visit the animals they have on site. These include pigs, sheep, goats and some horses, plus it has an aviary.
The reception area is first class, friendly service and always helpful.
The only negative I have would be about the owner. We saw him 3 or 4 times and each time his mood varied between unhappy to rude. He spoke to our children quite rudely when asking them to remove their small scooters from the feeding area as they were a health and safety hazard and told everyone the feeding of the lambs wouldn't start till they'd been removed 30 yards down the track! The next time we spoke sternly to another child who wasn't feeding a lamb correctly - bare in mind this other child was about 5 years old!
To sum up, the site as a whole is lovely, top facilities, clean and spacious. The 1 improvement I'd suggest would be either an improvement of the owner's mood swings/attitude or to remove him from customer/camper contact.

This is the second time we have stayed here, and it was just as good as we remember from last time. As someone has pointed out previously, this is the site that we will use as a standard to judge all others.
The site was great for our two kids (9 & 6), play park, football field, woods to play in. They could just roam only to return when they got hungry or tired.
Lots of walks around the site, and a couple of pubs are walkable if you don't mind going a bit further.
Great site, would recommend to anyone.

We have just been there for the weekend, Really nice site surrounded by fields, for us it is a little piece of the country with out going too far. The pitches are superb, they were only using the hard standing ones due to the weather I suspect. Toilets and showers were very good. It snowed while we were there and they still maintained the site putting out buckets to mark the road. Due to the snow we did not want to risk moving the caravan but had to go home, the owners said I could leave it there until the snow had clears. I was quitw prepared and expected to pay for this but the owners said they would not charge me for.
Overall very impressed and will be going back

Easy to find with the caravan club directions.
Very well kept site warm welcome.
Toilet blocks are very nice and clean with large hot showers.
In an area of outstanding beauty being in the 'garden of england'.
Lots of nice villages and towns to visit great for a weekend visit.
Site was very busy when went but pitches are very spacious and well laid out.
Will be returning again and going on some nice walks.

Love, love, love this site.
I can't add much to what has already been said in the other reviews. It is clean, well kept and friendly. The pitches are spacious and well presented. Even in big tents there is no crowding. It is lovely and quiet at night without fail, and mornings are peaceful - all the campers seem to respect this without being asked to.
There are no crazy queues for the showers/ washing up and the toilet and shower block is heated.
There are washing machines and dryers on site and a line outside the toilet blocks in case you'd rather hang your laundry out to dry.
There is a well stocked shop which was priced very reasonably, and we loved being able to order fresh bread. It was lovely to wander up to the shop and get a paper and bread each morning - a real treat!
The walks were lovely. We spotted a Kingfisher by the river on our last day.
We've always had an incredibly relaxing break there and it's only an hour or so from London.
I can't wait till we are back there this year.
We love the place and will be going back for the third year this summer.

Excellent site. As described by many before. The pitches are generous, the site exceptionally clean and well maintained. Nice walks. The children's play area whilst basic compared to many 5 star sites was more than adequate. All children had a great time. Quite with out fail from 10pm onwards.
Much to do in the area. Local PYO on the way to Goudhurst excellent. Find of the week was a pub at Claygate. Bistro quality food and service at pub prices. Called the White Hart. New owners, fantastic theme especially their hot stones range. ( you finish cooking your food on these very very hot stones ). Try the ice cream cold stone, my kids loved it!
