This is a nice, family campsite. There is an excellent shop selling everything you might have forgotten, plus sweets/toys and wine/beer.
The washroom facilities are large and clean. Lots of the caravans must have their own facilities so there wasn't a huge queue in the morning. There is a hairdrier for 20p. There is some hardstanding and a large caravan field. Tents are in a separate area close to the washing facilities.
There were children playing and having a great time, but the site was never noisy or rowdy. The fishing pond looked good. ( We saw someone catch a large Carp. )
2 points only-there only seemed to be one water tap, next to the washroom. This was a long walk for us at the top of the caravan field.
Also, the site is locked up at 10pm. This is ok for people in cars as they can park up in the car park overnight if they arrive later. But people like us in a campervan are stuck, they have to be in by 10pm or sleep in the carpark!
Overall a nice well-managed site. Recommend and would stay again.

A very impressive arrival down the long entrance drive was very welcoming. That was where the 'Welcome' ended. Not a friendly check in.
We have no children so cannot comment on any of entertainment provided for them.
We were very disappointed with the toilets, showers and washing facilities, these fall well short of what we expect for paying this nightly fee. On top of the fee you have to pay for showers and hot water to wash your pots.
The sluice provided for chemical toilet disposal is disgraceful. We did not leave the site as we were there to socialise with friends, so cannot comment or give advise on what is nearby.
This was our first visit and it will be our last.

Just returned from this site, spending our first night with our 2 children 3-4 years olds. They loved IT! and we did too, large site with 2 fields, one for camping and 1 for both camping, caravan, etc. We ended up at the top of the large caravan/camping field, nice spot, not to far from the toilet, all facilities very clean, all you need, even washing clothes/drying etc. Shop on site has all you need if needed! no play area 4 kids, but there is a nice play area in Wolvey. Half a mile in the town first roundabout turn left on the left 300 yrds. Nice pub, tried blue pig, nice food good prices. Site has nice pond for fishing, a 9 hole putting course, a bit of fun for 50p. All in all great site, location, not far from most things, and the local chinese will deliver to site!

Went to Wolvey as part of a Rally. Very rural site but close to villages with good pubs and Coventry with its shops and supermarkets. Not sure about padlocks on loo roll dispensers and 10p to wash up but overall a site I could recommend.
50p for the putting for as long as you like and £2.50 for fishing all day. Great little dog walk, hot showers, pleasant hosts, big field, and views across the country side and reasonable rates.
Agree there are no immediate dog walks but walks along fields and into villages along public footpaths is certainly possible.
TV room available on site and for those taking their set a great TV reception. Have to be back on site at 10.30 or you'll get to put the car in the car park but plenty of room there for visitors cars
A large camping field is next to the caravan pitches. I'd go again

We were looking for an overnight stop on the way north and phoned up on the off chance on Saturday morning. 'Yes, just turn up, we'll have a pitch for you' said the friendly owner. So we did, and we're glad we did because this is a nice site in open countryside just a couple of miles from the M69. It's a large flat site and pitching is easy; we had a choice of pitches once we'd signed in.
There's a shop selling basics and I think shops down in the village although we didn't use them as we were just passing through. All the facilities are well looked after. There's a fishing lake on site and a pond with plenty of ducks and geese to keep children amused. Also a good sized playing field and a large enclosed dog field which our two Irish Setters loved. We will probably return for a longer stay and explore the local area including the wildlife reserve just down the road.

Easy to find, well sign posted from main roads. Lovely setting, our little one enjoyed saying hello to the animals around the site; there were ducks and geese, sheep, horses and donkeys although we were very close to some of them we were not disturbed by them.
The site was very clean as were the toilet and shower blocks. The toilets were well stocked with loo roll and the showers were great value at only 20p with ample time to get a shower.
There was a small shop selling basic supplies such as bread and milk as well as a range of toys, sweets and so on. The staff in the shop and on site were very friendly.
There were other facilities on site such as a laundry, tv and games room, mini golf and fishing but as we were only staying for one night we didn't use any of these.
All in all it was a lovely little site and I would stay again and recommend it to friends.

Our first time camping ever and our first visit to this site, which was recommended to us by a friend.
The site was easy to find and well signposted and found it to be very quiet. Visited with three children and there was no playground and there was a TV and Pool room which was meant to be open around 7pm but it didn't open at all the day we were there.
There was a small fishing lake which was cheap to use but we don't fish. There we're no pubs within walking distance.
The showers and toilets were clean and cheap to use (20p for a shower) and the laundry facilities were ok.

What a lovely site this was.
The site was beautiful and clean the toilets were spotless, the showers were clean and very good value at only 20p with more than enough time to get showered.
The fishing was amazing value and the fishing was very good catching and getting bites all day.
The fish was varied from perch and roach to big carp excellent.
The dog enjoyed his visits to the dog walk on site.
Local pubs in the area are very nice for food and quite drinks.
The putting green was fun and the games room was a nice area for youngsters as well as adults as there is a pool table.
The site was lovely and quite at night.
The shop on site was well stocked, and the owners were more than happy to help with any enquiry.
What a lovely site we will definitely return for another visit.

Have just returned from a very enjoyable 4 night break at this site where we met up with friends, with 6 children between us. The owner was very helpful and welcoming and the site is very reasonably priced.
Although there isn't a children's playground our kids aged between 3 and 13 were never bored, there is plenty of room to run around in and the fishing lake is very safely fenced off from the children but still allowing them to see the wildlife. The site had a very friendly atmosphere and was very quiet after 10-11pm.
The toilets are very clean and plenty of sinks, showers etc. Although the showers are 20p you get ample time to shower and never had to queue.
The site shop is very well stocked and again reasonably priced.
The pitches were well marked out and easily big enough for our Vango Diablo 900 which is a very large tent to pitch.
We didn't use any of the pubs in the nearby village but the site is well placed for Drayton Manor and if looking for something to entertain the kids try Coombe Abbey Park, ours loved it!
Overall a very good, clean family run site which we will definitely recommend to anyone!

First trip out with the caravan this year and came to Wolvey to join up with friends and family for the Bank Holiday.
This site is just outside of Coventry and very accessible from major routes.
We arrived just after seven on Friday evening, Mr Rusted and his son in law were very welcoming and very organised, we were quickly on a pitch. The site is 90 per cent grass and slightly undulating but not a problem with our long single axle caravan (we didn't spot a single twin axle). The pitches are not rigidly marked out and there was plenty of space to spread out.
Quite busy as it was Bank Holiday, mainly large groups like us, lots of children. No facilities for children outdoors other than fishing, playing ball games was fine.
If like us you have dogs that need decent walks (2 labradors) then the dog walk field is very disappointing. There are no public footpaths nearby other than along the main road into Wolvey.
Shower block clean if in need of updating, showers 20p but plenty of hot water.
Great little shop well stocked, will order specific newspapers. 10 minutes to Asda and Tesco.
Nice, well kept little site, would return but for the lack of dog walks!
