The caravan site is very quiet. There could be more facilities for younger children ie a playground as we often have to buy things to keep them occupied which can make it expensive. The wash facilities are very good and very clean as is always the site. There's just one qualm we have. There is a big sign on entry about twin axle caravans not being allowed and reciprocated on the camps website but they always seem to be on the site hard standing and grass pitches ? Slightly confusing. Above all a very good family site with a good atmosphere definitely worth a visit.

I pulled on on the most windiest day on record, the tent as you can imagine is a little difficult to put up, but I did it with no worries. The site was spotless the showers were very clean and toilets. The dog walk was good with plenty of room for her to run. The whole time I was there it was very peaceful did my accounts at the same time!
The shop was well stocked with bits food and so on. The family were very helpful had no problems, people on site were quiet and like me just wanted to get away from home. The kids played football and fished. The golf course was interesting, but fun no less. I just got on with my work while I was there every one else enjoyed it.

We stopped off at this site only meaning to stay a couple of days but ended up making it our base for about 10 or 12 days as it is so central to everything. We enjoyed having some good yarns with Harold the owner who cycled by every evening, he runs a very clean tidy no nonsense site and with the ducks, chickens and even geese running about it all added to a lovely atmosphere and we would recommend to anyone. Hope to visit again next year.

I stayed at the Wolvey site during the August bank holiday and enjoyed the stay. The site was very well kept, the toilet and shower facilities were very clean and the laundry room and dish washing facilities very accessible. The bins were emptied frequently and the owners and staff very friendly. The shop was open at regular times of the day and was well stocked. Wolvey is only a ten minute walk away and the food in the local pubs is excellent. The food in the 'blue pig' was a favourite. The only down side for me was the lack of facilities for the children. I took two children, one of 10 and the other 11 and they continually moaned at being bored. There is a games room with a tv and fruit machines that they had to pay for but other than that there was nothing. I would liked to have seen at least a small adventure playground just like many sites have. This aside it is a very nice site to spend time in but mainly for weekend breaks. I would not book for any longer than that.

We stayed there monday-thursday. the facilities were spotless but ontop of paying £10 you had to pay to use the washing up the showers ect. so make sure you have change The shop on site is lovely but it is right off a busy road and it is really loud over night. we met some pople who were in caravans and most are there for work (travel around for work) I would say it is more of a caravan site than tent and there isn't much to do for children
Although the owner was very nice I wouldn't return

Harrys Dad and Senor Pablo have said it all basically.
We stopped here last year for a weekend and then stopped over night on our way down to Dover this June. (we live up int far north!) The site is literally just off the motorway so very handy, yet you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere (you have to watch out for the sign as you do pass another campsite along the way, this is not the one the 'brown signs' are directing you to, the brown sign is for Wolvey Caravan Park - there is a large old farmhouse at the entrance). Because we had left work to travel to this site we arrived after 9pm - but that wasn't a problem.
The site has excellent facilities and I could have quiet happilly stayed longer. The owners really are very helpful and as has been said, if the shop is closed (usually because they are helping another camper) all you do is ring the bell and someone appears. If you tell them what newspaper you want they will make sure it is there in the morning. The shop seemed fully stocked each time we have been there, so I would have no worries. If you were there for a week I am sure you could pre-order any daily requirements.
The wash blocks were spotless. I have stayed on lots of sites where you have to pay for the water as you use it. I am not a fan of this, but I think it is something we all have to get used to. And turning the inconvenience into a positive, it means you aren't paying for something you haven't used - as in when everything is free on site. The site fee is very reasonable and I like it that way. We have stayed on sites that are £25+ and never used half the facilities.
Some of the ground is undulating however on chatting to the owners the original football/ play field has been transformed into a flat area for tents - this is also nearer the wash/wc block so I would think that is better for tenters - especially since they usually get stuck the furthest away. We were pitched at the end of one of the fields & managed easily to be level.
We didn't have any problems with the ducks, the ducklings were a joy to watch, as they do wander about the site freely - you can buy fresh eggs at the shop! We didn't do any fishing so can't comment other than to say it looked very popular.
We will definitely be stopping there again, possibly to do a bit of pre-pre-xmas shopping!

Wonderful campsite.Undulations in the camping field by reception but found flat pitch no problem.Facilities fantastically clean.Showers operate by a 20p meter but gave loads of hot water. In fact I always had to turn it off well before the meter ran out. Could do with shower curtain as shower water always sprayed over tray onto changing area and it is hard to get dressed into dry clothes when standing in a puddle. My 5 yr old also managed to slip and bang his head quite badly so hold on to little ones. Has laundry facilities, dishwasher facilities (10p for hot water meter)games & tv room.Veryfriendly owners and shop for essentials. Very handy for Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, Drayton manor etc.Very good price. There is noise from M6 as its only 3.5 miles away but more like white noise really and not a problem.

Visited this site twice (Spring & summer 2008)
Excellent, friendly site. Well maintained, toilets in lovely Coventry colours! (Suits me being a Cov kid!)
Fishing available, but not very large water! Plenty in surrounding area though.
Village about mile away (dangerous road to walk along, traffic very fast). 24hr Tesco, Asda, Bowling, Cinema complex - all within 10mts by car on outskirts of Cov (Walsgrave business park)
Dog walk well maintained and suitable for all types.
Shop is a bit hit and miss, but will open if requested.
Nothing seems to much of a problem to owners, site thoroughly recommended.
Hoping to visit again very soon.

Have to be a bit careful with this one as it is a site we are staying at long term.
We have found this to be a great site.
It is very well maintained with very good amenities.
The shower and toilet block is large and kept spotless. Showers are 20p but you do get a good 5 mins. I RATE THE SHOWERS AS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER USED. BRILLIANT.
There is a laundry room with two washers £2.50, and two dryers 50p plus an iron and ironing board metered at 10p. There is a tv room with a pool table and various games machines. There is a small but well equipped shop that sells wines and beers etc.
There is a small fishing lake at £2.50 a day, I have seen some 20lb+ carp being pulled out in the last few weeks and have bought some fishing gear to have a go myself.
There is a big dog walk on-site.
The field itself is very undulating ground as it is on the site of an historic ridge working farm but they are working on leveling the site as I write this. The owner Harold is very proud of his grass and it is very well tended.
There is a barrier across the site that is closed at 10-00 at night and is left closed if the site is very wet to save the grass from being churned up. But there is adequate car parking. NO TWINAXEL CARAVANS ARE ALLOWED ONSITE.
Ducks, chickens and geese are allowed to roam free around the site but we have found no problems with that. In Fact there are fresh free-range eggs for sale at the shop and they are wonderful. Only 1.25 a dozen.
There is a small village, Wolvey, a half a mile away from the site with three pubs that do good food, The Axe & Compass is highly recommended but a little expensive, and a Post Office come general store.
The towns of Hinckley and Nuneaton are a short drive away and it is only a ten minute drive into Coventry.
All in all the site is a nice place to be.

The site was very clean with friendly staff, field was nicely mown and well kept. Licenced shop was more than adequate and supplied anything from wine to toys for the children, the prices were also very resonable At £2.50 the fishing was excellent value. Hardstanding was available where you were able to use an awning The dog field was excellent and Bengie loved it. Will make a return visit.
