Been here quite a few times now, very disappointed this time as owner more interested in his grass than the temporary residents. Ducks and geese a problem as quite a few times had to evict them from our awning. Toilet block is adequate, shop inadequate wont stay there again as thought pricey for what you get.

We were there at the same time as Jan P. Not much to add except that the 50p for the dog was well worth it. They have fenced off a large area in the field next to the site for dog walking, there is a path mown around the edge for the humans and the dogs can run free across the grass. Jazz loved it.

We stayed here over the late May Bank Holiday. The site is flat but curiously undulating which might be difficult for tents. The owners are friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers are basic but very clean. Bins are emptied regularly. The site was clean and the grass mown. There is a games and television room. The on site fishing is small but good, at £2.50 a day it was worth the money. The site is accessed via a barrier which is locked over night. The onsite shop has the basics and tesco etc are about 5 miles away. An ideal stopover or weekend but, for me, not ideal for a weeks holiday.

Lovely campsite. Mainly motor-homes and caravans rather then tents, but we were made to feel welcome. The fishing was fair, although not too sure about the locked fence around the water. When there are quite a few of you fishing, just one key to use becomes rather frustrating. However we enjoyed our stay and were allowed visitors to come and go for a small price. The site was very well kept with excellent facilities and a shop on site. Prices are very reasonable and we will be returning shortly.

Site is functional, not attractive. Some hardstandings - do not appear to allow for awnings. Putting green. Shop. Toilets / showers / basins. Washing machine / tumble drier / iron & ironing board. Outdoor dishwashing sinks. Additional charge (10p or 20p) for showers, hot water for dishwashing, hairdrier and iron. Small amount of noise from motorway in the area. Fishing pond £2.50 per rod per day.
On the plus side, the grass was mown, the dustbins emptied, the facilities were clean and well stocked. Units were reasonably spaced. On the down side, we picked up several insect bites whilst there; crane flies appear to congregate in the loo block;
Would return for an overnight stop, but not a holiday. £9.60 for motorhome, 2 adults and EHU. Additional charges for awnings, dogs and extra people. Groundsheets not allowed.
