We stayed at this gem of a site during the August Bank holiday weekend and were amazed by the 5 star quality facilities. The site is new only opened in May 16. The lovely couple that run the site were friendly and very helpful from our call to make the booking to our greeting on arrival and during our stay. The site has been designed to cover all the essentials with a luxurious touch and outstanding views on all sides. Attention to detail was very apparent and appreciated. Energy saving features for taps showers and lighting was a nice touch. Showers and toilets were immaculate regardless of what time they were visited and the site layout provided plenty of space between the fully serviced pitches. The beautiful grounds with lovely meadow flowers and amazing clear night sly views have very little light pollution.

We do not have a TV in our van so cannot comment on signal strength but every other facility on site was first class and a credit to the management. The local village has good shops, pubs and restaurants in easy walking distance. There is also lots of choice for walks along the river and local trails. Fantastic site highly recommended. We would definitely return loved it, loved it, loved it 😍

Visited the Redkite site in August for a 5 night stay. The site is very easy to find (sat nav took me straight there) and access is very good. The welcome was excellent with friendly staff. The pitch was gravel hard standing with full service (including brown waste using green bio agent). Setting up the awning and hammering the pegs into the ground was easy compared to some sites with no bent pegs. The view from the pitch was great with a view across the valley. Tv signal was not the best with only a few free view channels even using the on site hook up. That was the only poor point of the site. The dog walking areas are great and Chloe my dog loved cooling down in the lakes. The dog washing facilities are fantastic with a really powerful dryer. The showers are modern and spotlessly clean.

The near by town has all the local shops and pubs needed for a happy holiday but we never walked into town which is downhill there and uphill on the way back.

Will be going back as this site is a gem.

Wow! What a fantastic site. Beautiful location looking over a valley, hills and ponds. Wide gravel pitches with fully serviced facilities with lovely planted wild flower borders. Excellent WiFi. The wardens were cheerful, helpful and very friendly. All toilets, showers, washing up, laundry and information centre of 5 star rating. Even the dog shower room was like that in a luxury grooming parlour. Lots of space to exercise your dog around the site including a small enclosed dog field. Direct access to forest tracks and lane leading to the river and other extensive walks throughout the area.

The town of Llanidloes lies 1 mile downhill ( uphill home) has butchers, bakers, fish monger and a small Spar, many tea room and restaurants and also boasts 9 pubs.

Best touring camp site we have ever stayed at and will certainly return.

Has to be the best site we have visited, If we were starting our own site, this would be the standard we would hope to aspire too. Attention to detail fantastic. And our dog Oliver really enjoyed the dog shower. Congratulations to the owners for their efforts & their friendliness. Will certainly be returning. Many Thanks.

This site is one of the best I have ever stayed on. Everything is so well kept and neat and tidy. Our pitch was plenty big enough, the access roads around the site were nice and wide and it is amazing to think it has only been open a few months. The site was really easy to find and I am very impressed that I received an email with useful information a couple of days before I arrived.

All of the staff were really polite and friendly, free Wi-Fi was available all over the site. The toilet block is excellent, with powerful, warm showers. The washing up sinks are at a great height and very deep with plenty of space between them.

The site is a great location for exploring the Elan Valley or going up the hill see the reservoir. The views from the site are fantastic, but you do not have to go far from the site to get some equally fantastic scenery.

Llanidloes is about a 15 minute walk away, but there is a fairly steep bank involved on the way back.

I would not hesitate to return to this site.

Lovely new adult only site. Great facilities and views. I'm not a dog owner but it seems they cater well for them. Helpful owners finding their feet but they will do well.

Be aware they didn't allow habitation doors to face each other on the pitches. 2 caravans from the same family weren't allowed to. Also any continental motorhomes or those who want to reverse onto pitches (rear lounges) you will have to comply with that rule and possibly lose the lovely view.

All said though it's a lovely site.

This is going to be a really lovely site when it matures. The banks of wild flowers are beautiful already. All the pitches are fully serviced super pitches - brilliant. It is so near to being perfect, only niggles as far as we are concerned are: the individual washrooms/showers are lovely but they need a shelf in the wetroom area, at the moment there is just a soap dish, shampoo, etc had to be put on the floor. A hairdryer in the room would be nice too, after showering, etc I had to go outside and round to the ladies toilets to find one. The mops to clean up after us is next to useless on the rough floor (not nice floor for bare feet), the mop was just in the bucket, no disinfectant, so you are just doing your best to mop up the water and squeeze it into the bucket. Apart from these little gripes everything was spotless. The pitches are a bit small and we felt close together but it is so quiet and the views lovely. Choose a pitch away from the hill or you will lose the sun earlier than everywhere else on the site. Not far to walk into town but it is a bit of a climb on the way back. We will definitely return.

This is a brand new adult only site so still looks rather bare. However the views from the site are fabulous. The facilities are ultra modern, the shower cubicles are a good size, plenty of hot water. All the pitches are fully serviced with fresh water, grey waste, green toilet waste, TV point and 16 amp electricity. Free Wi-Fi on the site by code given on arrival. Not over expensive when you consider that the price includes 2 adults, 2 dogs and the exceptional facilities. The walk into town is about 20/25 minutes but be aware that it is mostly uphill on the way back!

Beautiful site, we visited after they had been open for 6 weeks. Richard, the owner could not have been more helpful and friendly. Site is very attractively laid out, excellent dog walking area and good woodland adjacent to site.

Showers were amazing particularly the wet room, could have stayed there all day!.

Good facilities - washing machine, dryer etc.

Although near to the road, you did not hear or were aware of the traffic.

Plenty to see nearby, Llanidloes is pretty and there is a co-op which provides all you would need food wise.

We will definitely be returning - the site felt so relaxing and although we were booked to move to another site for our second week, we nearly sacrificed our deposit to stay longer at red kite - we wish we had!
