Have been back to this park several time since last review and I still cannot find anything wrong it is the best caravan park in Scotland for a quite relaxing holiday right by the sea and beautiful white sands and all the facilities you could want an a site.

This is the first time I have visited Grannies Heilan Hame but it will not be the last. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff, and the site itself is outstanding with a beautiful white sandy beech within yards of the caravans an excellent club room with a very good priced bar and restaurant. The caravans are of excellant quality with everything you could ask for from a fridge/freezer to TV Radio and heating in all rooms, and I am hoping to visit again this summer.

I first visited grannies with a neighbour who owned there on holiday home in the park in Sept 2001 and fell in love with the park.I have been holidaying in the park 2-3 times a year since then and still love the peace and tranquility of the area.My kids are aged 6 and 8 and are always kept very busy with all the goings on that parkdean have arranged free of charge.The facilities are great with all the features on site,SHOP,RESTURANT,CLUB HOUSE,LAUNDRY and even a chip shop.This holiday is not for the person who likes to shop and keep on the go but great for a stress free holiday just sit back and enjoy the white sands of Dornoch on the beach a stone through from the caravans and the breathtaking unspoilt view for as far as the eye can see.I have already booked this years holidays for APRIL and OCTOBER and I am counting the days untill we go.I love it if you decide to go I am sure you will to.Loraine

Grannies Heilan' Hame is one of our favourite destinations when going away with our caravan. We have made several visits over the last 5yrs and are already booked for Easter 2003. Grannies is about 200 miles North of our home in West Lothian. It is set right on the seafront adjacent to the village of Embo three miles from Dornoch, which is 45 miles north of Inverness on the A9
There are several places that you can go to for a day out. John O'Groats is only a few hours drive along some beautiful scenic routes. or there is Ullapool on the West Coast again within easy reach. There are several areas were at the right time of year you can see Seals and Dolphins. Seals are quite often seen near the small harbour at Embo.
For those who like to shop Inverness is only an hours drive away and boasts some of the best shopping centres in the Highlands.
For the 2002 season the site at Grannies have built a new toilet block for tourers which is extremely well laid out for those who are less able or able bodied alike.
The program of events boasts some of Scotlands best bands both folk music and popular music are catered for. For the kids there is the Tree Tops Grove Club with Maxamillion and Moonbeam.
