What a fabulous site this is and so clean with everything you could need for a super break.
This was only our second outing in a caravan and we were given such a warm welcome by the owners who could not do enough to make our stay the best ever. Our dog Jonus a Bernese Mountain dog had such a lovely time there as the site provides a fabulous dog run where you can let your pet off the lead for a while.
We have family in Campbeltown and being on this site allowed us to visit them and to have family members come and visit us on the site. Thank you so much to the owners for all their help we will be back again soon.

Superb site if peace and tranquility are what you are after, Dave and his wife were so helpful when we arrived it was like meeting a family member. This was our first visit.
Granted the site was not full when my wife and I visited but nonetheless, we have been to more expensive sites where there were less facilities.
Toilet blocks were immaculate with even dish washing cloths, scourers available. A crazy putting area and a fishing station. The shop was fine for most needs.
An excellent beach no more than ten minutes away and best of all for me the golf course.
Unfortunately the restaurant (15mins walk ) was being refurbished but the golf club served us well.
The scenery when you drive round Southend and up to carradale was breath taking.

Spent almost a month on this site having come from Spain for a few months during the summer. Lovely site. Beautifully kept, very well drained (we noticed because we had a lot of rain!). Owners Chris and Dave obviously very proud of their site. Good toilet blocks cleaned regularly and an on site shop stocking basic needs. Lovely scenery and Campbeltown only a short drive away. Will definitely be back.

Excellent campsite - no midges, spotless facilities, flat pitches with no stones, and the friendly owner even gets up at 3am to check tents and guy ropes if it is windy.
Short walk to the village and great pub.
Amazing sunsets, and visit Gigha.
You must go.

Visited the camp site for 3 days in June following three days on a pleasant but midge infested site in Lochgilphead.
What a fantastic site. The owners have clearly considered campers with the provision of a campers room complete with microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle and books to borrow etc.
Situated close to some excelent beaches, and beatiful surroundings.
Definitely worth going to the Goldruns - just down in the town. You can see seals basking, dolphins, sea otters.
We had beautiful sunshine whilst we were there, and best of all - NO MIDGES!
We will definitely be back

A great site run by enthusiastic owners who have done a great job of upgrading the showers etc. There is a caravan with fridge, tv etc for campers, a nice idea! The small shop is useful, the bike hire tempted me. The local bays and beach are quiet but wonderful. I didn't try the pub but was told it was excellent. If you go do visit the Owl centre five miles away in Campbeltown, and the seabird observatory out on the cliffs. Must go back!

This is the best campsite in scotland! We stayed here for 3 nights in august 2006 before travelling onto Islay. The owners, Steve and Jaqui were the most friendly people we have ever met, and we have already booked our spot for next year! The facilities cater for every sort of family, and although basic, they are perfect! The wee shop here is also well stocked, with the owners providing this as a service, and not just a way to get extra money out of the campers (all prices are VERY reasonable!) What I also loved about this campsite were the disabled facilities, not many campsites seem to provide these. Looking forward to going back next year!

We have just spent our third yearly holiday at this very pleasant site and have returned to London rested and relaxed. The owners, Steve and Jaquie, are the best hosts I have ever found on a campsite and I have been camping for forty years or so. Our eight year old daughter is so in love with the whole area that she has told us we have to move there straight away! .This is the perfect site for a family holiday and has access to golfing, beautiful beaches, fishing, forest walks and much more including a whole lot of good old fashioned relaxation. I would recommend it to all of those people out there who are looking for some serenity in their lives and want to go home feeling that they have had a holiday. I will definitely be going back.

Just returned from a fantastic 10 day stay with Jaquie and Steve. The site was spotless and the hosts ensured our every need was met. The local area is outstanding and there are so many places to visit. The beaches are fantastic and the hidden ones such as Saddel (on the road to Carradale, entrance opposite the abbey) are brilliant. We were lucky enough to see Dolphins from here! If you like seafood please visit the castle at Skipness where you will find the excellent seafood cabin. You can take the main road or the scenic route through Peninver & Carradale. We took the twenty minute ferry to Gigha as foot passengers (no need for a car) and had a great time. The Boat cabin and Hotel are great for food & drink and the gardens are a mile and a half walk away and well worth the visit. This campsite is a great base to explore Kintyre from and you will not be disappointed.enjoy!

The weather was a bit cold and windy, but the facilities for campers were wonderful! You have no idea how much we appreciated the static caravan containing fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and plug! Facilities were immaculate and staff were very friendly. A very nice experience!
