This is a lovely campsite very peaceful, clean and tidy. We could not believe that we were only 10 miles away from the motorway.
The owners are fantastic very friendly not in your face you are welcomed to the site then left on your own they are available if there are any problems, the price per night is great and is not seasonal same price all year.
There are 2 fresh water taps and a disposal point which we found had a lot of flies around it (maybe due to warm weather). The field is flat and the grass is nice and short.
The site has a few hook up points which need to be booked especially in high season. The surrounding countryside is lovely and plenty of places to visit.
We would return to this site

Nice and easy to find.
Very simple site just a field which is large and plenty of space to spread out.
Owners said to park where ever we want and not in rows as they don't like it too neat which I thought was really good.
Very quiet and peaceful
Lots to see and do in area.
While there we went to hythe and canterbury and pub down the road sorry forgot the name.
Garden centre down the road was very good.
Nice walks in the area.

Well, this can only be described as a brilliant camp site. Loved every minute of our stay, made better by the price, had plenty more spare holiday cash to spend on fun!
Beautiful and quiet, hard to believe close to the motorway, the channel tunnel crossing, Dover, Ashford, Canterbury, all within 10 miles radius.
The field is well mown and fairly level. A rally arrived during our stay and there was still enough room for more.
Nothing was too much bother, we asked to stay two extra nights and were easily accommodated with the electric hook-up and asked to borrow a tool after our car had some trouble.
We will definitely be using this site again in the future and are already singing it's praises to friends and family.
Thanks very much for helping make our Kent holiday what it was and keep up the good work.

Despite being members of the Caravan and Camping club we actually found this campsite on this web page. Firstly we have to say that there are no nicer campsite lords than Mr and Mrs Woods and of course Sweepee the dog, whom our daughter loved. They are the most accommodating people on the planet and are so friendly and happy, Mr Woods even sings when he has to mow the grass!
Now the site, well they do masses of recycling bins even doggy poo bins! it is a very spacious and peaceful place (when we are not there with our noisy daughter). There is an information point with leaflets of local places of interest.
The site has a lovely calm feeling about it if you know what I mean, there are two fresh water taps, chemical disposal with rinse tap and about 8 hook ups I think. There is a separate area for non rally campers divided by a fenced block of lovely trees, should there be a rally when you visit, however there wasn't when we were there.
We were very lucky to spot badgers in the adjoining field in the early evening and there are very interesting birds including Yellow hammers that we saw.
If you are a walker there are loads of public footpaths and fantastic woodland near by. We found a wood called Elham park forest that was to die for. We have been back several times now since our first visit and if we could, would visit every weekend, honestly it is that good!

A superb site, quiet, yet within easy reach of major tourist attractions and channel crossings. The owners are friendly, yet do not hover constantly over the site. The prices are extremely reasonable and reflect the basic nature of the site. Own sanitation is essential.
Electric hookups are available as is freshwater and used water disposal (bit of a lift - a very high pipe). Plenty of room and very pleasantly landscaped. This is our idea of a perfect site and we will be returning. For those who wish to get away from it all this is ideal. Deep in the heart of Kent, surrounded by Darling Buds of May villages, you too will fall under the spell of Fir Tree Farm.
By the way, follow the directions given to get to the site, some of the roads round here were built for two passing sheep (and only if they breathed in).

We have just returned from visiting Fir tree & had one of the best camping trips ever!
I was a bit nervous about not having toilets or showers as never roughed it quite like that before but wanted a cheap get away in our tent. We had already found out where the local swimming pool was in folkestone & had a shower after swimming so it really wasn't a problem! As long as you have your own toilet which we have then there is an emptying point.
This is the most reasonable place you could ever stay for money & we didn't feel like we roughed it at all!
The owners seemed lovely & came & said Hi when we arrived then left us to it til the last day. We have 2 kids & a big dog & they absolutely loved it there! The field is a lovely size & really flat & well looked after. There is so much space to run around & play games. We were shocked how quiet it was here as we were the only ones for the first couple of nights, even then only 2 more people came. All you could here was the animals at different times of day which was great. We did some lovely walks from the farm & also no-where is too far to drive - 20mins to most places from there.
We would definitely recommend people to go here. It makes a nice change for someone to charge a set price per night (& very cheap!) to stay & not charge you for everything they can. Thank you Fir Tree!

Found the site excellent for tents as the field is relatively flat. Had use of the mains hook up for coolbox. Loads of space so you dont feel on top of each other.as stated no toilet and shower facility but we took a toilet tent so no problem. There is a elsan emptying point and plenty of drinking water on site.the owners are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed are stay and will be back there when we are in the area again. oh and dont be put off by the price per night when you book. Less than 5 mins from motorway excellent for exploring dover deal etc as we did.

Site owners very friendly and helpful who reassured us that they DO NOT tolerate noisy or unruly campers - WELL DONE -. Drinking water and emptying points well laid out and easy to access. Ground fairly flat with hedge and tree shelter from the lane. Very quiet and well run. Have camped at this site in frame tent, caravan, motorhome and camper van over about 20 years and cant fault it. Will be back.

Very friendly people - nothing too much trouble. Site has basic facilities - only a few hook-ups and own san ess as they say, but one of the most peaceful places we have stayed. If you have children, take plenty of outdoor toys as the site is a large level and safe field and had bags of space when we were there - even when a dozen vans turned up on a meet. Most of the time there were only one or two other campers and that meant our noisy children didn't disturb anyone. We'll be back.
