 Very nice site at £4pppn, showers and toilets are modern and always clean, level pitches although the grass was ready for cutting. In the washing up area there were tumble dryers and a washer that took tokens. Troublesome campers are named and shamed on the notice board and in the toilets! We are sure to return at some point. 4/5!

Pleasant, secluded, site, separate 2x shower blocks for genders and reasonably good quality pitching, lots of shelter from weather. Very close to cement works but because of extensive tree cover around the site you only see the top of the chimney. We didn't see much of the owners, though their son played nicely with our kids. On the downside the shower blocks weren't cleaned while we were there (3 days), and there was quite a bit of litter left by some campers. Also the lorries visiting the cement works were busy throughout Sunday night.
However, very low cost 4.00p/p p/n, non-intrusive site managers, easy access from Castleton via Pindale Rd (left out of Castleton market square, up the hill and down the lane). Lovely blackberries too!

A good friendly environment is Pindale Farm, we had a party of 3 tents and 10 people, the prices were great and the facilities were clean fresh and more than adequate, we even met a few other familys and had a laugh, went for lovely walks and enjoyed a pint at the local pub. Cant wait to come again this year, especially being pet friendly, everyone can enjoy.
