What a great little site.
Fully serviced, clean, well laid out, and Mr and Mrs Atkinson could not be more welcoming or friendly. It is only 6 to 8 minutes stroll into Penrith town centre which is well covered with shops and great traditional pubs. A beautiful setting, with only an odd passing train to disturb you, and which after the first couple you can not even notice.
Nice walks for our little Jack Russell, and an added bonus, a pub at the end of the lane.
We will certainly be returning here.

Agree with all the other reviews an excellent site. Lady who runs it very friendly toilets immaculate. Railway is close but didn't bother us. Will be using this site again. Close to the northern lakes. Good Indian restaurant within walking distance. Sloping site is terraced with some hardstanding pitches. Gated entrance with security lighting.

This is a lovely site. You will receive a very warm welcome on your arrival from the site owners. Situated on the very edge of Penrith within a few minutes walk into the town centre. Pitches are well spaced out with hook up on each one (25 in total). Slightly sloping site but nicely terraced with a lovely clean toilet/shower block,(40p for a hot shower though), and only one water tap at the entrance to reception. Prices for a pitch were £12 per night which we thought were reasonable at today's prices.
Penrith itself is very nice with lots of shopping and supermarkets and loads of good pubs and eating establishments scattered all over the town.Very close to the lakes, Ullswater being only a very short drive away. Very highly recommended site and will certainly be booking again. (Better to phone this site directly rather than email).

Great site. Really friendly welcome on arrival (and telephone support with directions).
Spotless toilet/shower block, Everything well-laid out and well-maintained.
Nice flat tarmac pitches with hook up and lovely grass for each pitch and elsewhere. Very dog friendly and easy dog walk from the site.
Helpful local information and just on the edge of Penrith with great shops.
Definitely recommend and would revisit

We always stop at the site on our way to the Ferry to Spain. Excellent toilet facilities, spotlessly clean. There is a room in the Toilet blocks with brochures on anything you may be interested in visiting in the area. Town a few minutes walk away with a choice of good restaurants and an excellent Fish and Chip Shop just a few minutes walk away!
There is a pub at the end of the lane which also is very good and run by friendly people who always remember you.
The site is run by a very friendly and helpful couple.
For £12 per night excellent value for money.

I cannot believe there has only been one review of this site. Very nice site with owners to match. Ten minute walk into Penrith centre with a good selection of pubs and eating places. There is a pub at the end of the road which is 3 minute walk from the site, but it was a bit quiet and not to my taste. Also at the same junction are 2 service stations with well stocked shops. There is a chip shop about 5 minute walk away with an Indian Restaurant across the road from it.
There is a shower/toilet block on site which was clean and serviceable. Showers required four 10p coins for hot water which gave you plenty of time for a shower. Plenty of wash basins with lots of hot water. Next to the toilets was an emptying point for the Motorhome toilet. I did not find the close proximity of the railway line a problem. With hookup it cost me £36 for 3 nights. TV reception was very good.

Can't believe this site has never been reviewed before! The site has been here for some years and is privately owned by a very friendly couple. It is located just 10 mins walk from the lovely market town of Penrith and there is a garage selling all essential supplies at the end of the lane so it is just perfect for Motorhomers.
The pitches are terraced and all hard standings (ideal given this 'summer' weather) and there is a separate camp field for tents. The site is well maintained and very clean and tidy. The facilities are clean and in good order with two good sized showers (40p per shower) in both the ladies and the gents. Some pitches are quite near the railway line but don't let that put you off- it doesn't disturb the peace. We paid £12 for our motorhome pitch with 2 adults and electric which we thought was good value, especially in August. We had some lovely days out from here- a lovely walk up to the Beacon with views over Penrith and towards Ullswater and just half an hour's drive took us to Keswick in the beautiful Lake District. So give it a try- you won't regret it!
