Wow! What a site! We stayed two nights this weekend an have found what can only be described as a perfect site.
Myself wife and two kids loved the area - we are used to North Wales but after our stay will be staying again on this site.
The owners were lovely and friendly - the site I level large open field- we didn't need electric hook up so shared a field with 3 other families.
Nice and quiet - perfect location for visiting local areas- we visited Aberdaron, Abersoch, Llanbedrogg, and had lunch at the famous Ty Coch pub -50p for the hot water which was red-hot, washing up, spin dryer which makes a stay perfect!
Toilets were immaculate! Showers were clean. Recommend the walk to the cliffs to watch seals - sunset incredible! We will be visiting again before to long!
Thanks for a great weekend!

We spent 3 nights at Hirdre Fawr over half term. Although busy the site did not feel crowded particularly as because we didn't require electric hook up we were in a large field with masses of space.
The site is flat and could be breezy but there are dramatic views of the The Rivals mountain range and the sunset over the sea. My children (9 and 5) enjoyed the play area and rode their bikes aound the site as did other children. The wash up area with fridge freezers and laundry facilities was excellent and very clean as were the showers and toilets.
I spent all my childhood holidays in this area and the attractions remain the same. Porthdinllaen not only has the Ty Coch pub for a pint by the shore but also has a sandy sheltered beach and excellent rock pooling, fishing and people watching.
The pub in Tudweiliog has a children's play area and does meals and the shops in Edern and Morfa Nefyn have barbecue supplies. My daughter loved body boarding at Porth Oer (Whistling Sands) as well as finding out that the sand does whistle, or rather squeak as they proved on the TV programme 'Coast'.
There are castles and iron age hill forts and beaches both rocky and sandy to visit. This is a beautiful area with a strong tradition of welsh language and culture which is retaining its' character whilst providing modern facilities for todays visitors.
Hirdre Fawr is a lovely, friendly site that we hope to return to.

We recently spent 3 nights at this lovely site and it was fabulous - 17 per night inc EHU at bank holiday. Pitches were spacious - Montana 6, front awning, car and still lots of space.
Showers and toilets kept extremely clean - 50p for a shower but it was powerful and hot so worth it! Lovely play area for under 10's which my children age 3 & 18 months loved.
Lovely walk down to pebble beach passing animals which my children loved. 10 min drive to treath beach which was fab.
The owners of this site are what make it so good - no rules were branded about and the you feel free to enjoy your holiday with your family, owners are available & very friendly when approached - No problem with noise etc. well maybe just my excitable kids! Overall a lovely, clean, safe site which we will be returning too!

Just got back from a weekend away at hirdre fawr farm and had to leave a comment, the site was fantastic and the owner was very nice and helpful.
We pitched up in the field you can see the sea and mountains from and had it all to our selves much to the delight of my 2 boys who ran over every blade of grass.
First night we took a leisurely stroll down to their private beach were to the kids amazement the seals were basking and swimming right in front of us nature at its best. The showers and toilets were very clean and fridges and freezers in the utility room were a great idea.

Arrived at this family friendly campsite after doing my homework on the internet and was greeted by the young farmer who directed me to a lovely pitch with electric hookup. The farmer very kindly helped my daughter and I to put the tent up, as he could see that I was struggling with our new tent.
It is a great site with beautiful views all around. Lovely quiet location. Facility block includes 3 showers, ladies and gents toilets spotlessly clean. Also a room with a sink for washing up, washing machine and dryer, a chest freezer and three large fridges to store your food / icepacks, also really clean. Sockets for hairdryers / phone charges etc. Totally flat fields with masses of room for the kids to run around.
Our five kids aged 13, 7, twins at 5 and a two year old loved the playground area and made lots of friends, which was great for us when we were cooking lunches and dinners.
We all took a walk to the sites own beach, which is a nice twenty minute walk through the farms own fields, or you could take the car down most of the way if you are feeling lazy. The kids loved the beach and were all amazed at the seals that come close into the beach. It wasn't long before the kids had their swimming costumes on and spashing about in the sea.
The next day we went to the Ty Coch, which is a pub only a five minute drive away, located a short walk from Nefyn Golf Club. Good food, great location, next to a championship golf course.
The weather was great, lovely friendly owners.
All in all a perfect break, in perfect settings.
We'll definitely stay here again, and cannot wait to go back.

A beautiful picturesque site on a working farm. Farmer is very friendly and laid back. The facilities are kept very spotless.
You can pitch your tent where you want to in field and has a very nice play area for children of under 10 years old.
You can drive or a short walk about 20 minutes across the fields (which has livestock so Dogs to be kept on leads) to a lovely secure rocky beach, which is great for Rock pooling, Fishing or watching Seals. Lots of Sandy Beaches a short Drive away one of which is Porthdillaen which has a pub on Beach called Ty Coch Inn which serves Real Ales and good Food.
We will recommend it.

Just wished we had of stayed longer. We were booked for 3 nights but unfortunately could only make it for 2 nights.
Thankfully the weather was brilliant on the Sunday and Monday and we missed most of the rain whilst driving on the Saturday
We pitched out tent right next to the sheep, it was beautiful with the sea and mountains in the distance.
The showers were okay, The 1st morning they were lovely but 2nd morning it was a bit on / off but that might off been because I left it later in the day - probably after every one else had there's.
We walked to the pub on the Sunday night and the food was nice. One of the ladies that worked at the pub drove us back to our campsite as they were worried about 3 girls walking around on the roads at night - that was very sweet of them.
On the Monday we walked to the pebbled beach and it was an amazing view - just wished we had longer - maybe next time!
Plus not bad at £12 per tent - what a bargain for such a lovely campsite - also the owners were very lovely as well !

Just come back from a lovely 4 day trip to Hirdre Fawr. The site is really lovely we stayed on the field to the right of the facilities and were advised by the owner to pitch along the hedge to avoid the prevailing winds. It was a lovely level pitch and despite it pouring down on the Saturday (all day) drained really well.
The facilities were immaculate, although the water wasn't always piping hot, it was the bank holiday weekend though.
The walk through the fields down to the pebbly beach was well worth it a visit. We saw a number of seals much to the delight of the kids. The beach at Penllech was always worth a visit.
All in all we couldn't fault the site at £12 a night and a brilliant location.

First time at this site
Well signed off the road and all the local shops/garages know where it is located just in case,
The site facilities are kept very clean despite the weather whilst we were there.
Even though there were only 3 showers we never had to queue.
Washing machine/dryer coin operated,
Showers 50p meter plenty of time for your money and very roomy with the wet room look.
Grassed area for the kids to play football/cricket and a small climbing /activity frame for the younger ones
The farm is a working farm and our lads had a look around the farm and were made welcome -feeding the calves
Excellent value for money, well located for aberdaron and other beaches including the sites own beach we never made it to the beach as my wife uses a wheelchair but some of the other guest ventured to the beach for fishing off the rocks
Small shop in the village stocking most of the essentials but pwllheli is only 20 min drive if you need a supermarket
We have put this site on our must do again list

Just spent the weekend at this great little campsite. 2 large fields provide plenty of space to pitch-up and privacy. The campsite is also a working farm, the owners were very helpful and friendly too. The toilet and shower facilities are clean but the only criticism is there are not enough toilets to meet the size of the site. With only 2 male and 2 female toilets and 3 showers it was pot luck as to how long you may have to wait to use the facilities. That aside the location is ideal to explore the local beaches and pubs at one of the best areas in north wales.
