This site is local to us so having bought a new awning we decided to give the site ago for one night.
Our pitch was overlooking the fishing lake (Wellington View) and close to toilets. The pitch was hard standing and fairly flat. Due to only staying one night we did not really make use of the facilities such as the café, which was closed and a small craft shop.
The toilets were clean although there were only two male and female toilets which also housed the shower. During busy times this could be an issue.
We haven’t visited this site since but would go back.

Just spent 5 nights here, lovely site The site was very well set out and maintained, very clean, peaceful, easily found nice toilets and hot showers. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Fishing was great too had some great big catches.
The rates are very good for such a lovely site.
Will be going back soon.

Just had a 2 night stay at Waterloo Farm with one of our dogs. The owners were very welcoming and took me round to my pitch looking over on to the fishing lake. Pitches are of a very good size with electric, water and grey water drainage right there. The cafe looked lovely and I understand that it caters for breakfasts and lunches. The shower and toilet block was very clean. Each room had a shower, toilet and basin with plenty of hooks and room to get changed. My only concern was if the site was full then you could have to wait for a shower as there were only 2 for men and 2 for women. There is a separate toilet on site as well.
The old railway track takes you in to Market Harborough which has a lovely selection of shops and cafés and there are some lovely pubs that do food in the neighbouring villages.
This was the first time I had stayed alone in the van and was worried that I wouldn't feel safe but even walking the dog last thing at night wasn't giving me any concerns.
I would certainly stay here again with my partner and other dogs.

Just back from a lovely weekend at this site. We stayed in the Waterloo View field, overlooking the lake (but not on the lake shore). The pitches here are slightly sloping but we measured it at 2 degrees so didn't even bother with levelling chocks.
The new washrooms are lovely: essentially private bathrooms with a loo, basin and shower cubicle in a room bigger than our bathroom at home! There's a little heater, a table with mirror, chair and lots of hooks for your clothes etc. What a pleasure to have all that space to dry off and dress after a shower, without having to worry about dropping your clothes in a puddle! The only negative was that there was no mop to clean up afterwards, but despite this the facilities were very clean. There's no hand towels or dryer either, so take a towel.
The cafe is fantastic too: we had breakfast there both days, and dinner on Saturday night. The food and drink is reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's worth noting that they're about to begin a refurbishment project next week (30 Sep) so their menu is being reduced for this period, but they're still doing their famous Sunday lunches!
The site is very quiet and drinking outside your unit is discouraged, but this wasn't a problem for us anyway. There's great access to the Brampton Valley Way so it's perfect for cycling and walking in the area.
We'll definitely return!

A very peaceful and relaxing site you could be hundred miles from anywhere its so peaceful
On arrival you are welcomed with a smile and shown by by the owner your pitch which for us was round the lake not to far from toilets [spotless] and with a quick walkway for our dog to run down to the field
A pleasant walk can be had when walking along the old train track which is now all pathway but take a torch if you decide to go the 413 metres under the old bridge as its very dark and with loads of puddles you don't see until you feel them, or walk into the town of Market Harborough where there is plenty of shops to stock up on
You can sit around the lake and catch some very big carp and just relax
A very pleasant stay and we will certainly be returning

Just had a lovely 4 night stay on one of the new Lakeside pitches. Perfect for fishing with 2 pegs right outside of your van. Great fishing, lots of good fish to be caught. New toilet facilities 2 each for ladies & men as ensuite type rooms so if busy you could have a wait just to use the loo, however as only 4 vans on site during our stay no problems. There also needs to be a mop & bucket provided in future but it is all new so the owners are still getting it all settled. Fantastic sized pitches fabulous views & very peaceful, no noise at all. Fabulous on-site tea rooms that do the most wonderful breakfast with very pleasant & friendly staff. Great for breakfast on the day you leave, sets you up for the day. Market Harborough is a great little town just under 2 miles by road or it can be walked along the cycle/walking track that runs along the site. Nice shops plus Sainsburys, Waitrose & Co-op for all your provisions. Nothing negative to be said. Just don't do as we did & turn into the farm shop called Waterloo farm shop, instead of finding Waterloo farm leisure as it is very tight to turn round in! The access to Waterloo farm leisure is great with a long drive but lots of passing places. We will be back.

Stayed over a very busy bank holiday weekend. The site is ideally placed for the Brampton Valley Way which is great for cycling/walking. It's approx 40 minutes walk into Market Harborough which has some nice shops.
Pitches are very large and have water and waste disposal. The toilets are in with the showers (2 for each) so on a busy weekend if you only wanted the toilet sometimes it was a bit of a wait if they were in the shower.
There is a nice cafe on site and also a pitch and putt £4 per person all equipment provided.
Found all the staff very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go again.
Just a note to anyone who goes and is given a terms and conditions list, it sounds quite harsh on some points and it may need the owners to have another look at these. It states that you can't walk around the lakes but when we asked it was explained that the lake by the cafe is sometimes used for competitions but it is ok to walk around the other one by the pitch and putt. If you are in any doubt about any of the 'rules' ask it might not be as bad as you think.

Have just returned from a very enjoyable four days at this site. We have never fished before but went with friends who are very keen fishermen. Even for us the site held us there for the four days, we fished, cycled, played pitch & putt and had some very enjoyable walks.
We had intended to use the site to visit local gardens, but we never found the time. So we will return to this site that has something for everybody.
All the facilities were excellent and without exception owners and other campers were the friendliest we have ever found. Pitches are huge and what a pleasant change not to have to pay extra for things like putting up an awning.
We walked both ways along the cycle path and I agree do not forget to take a torch for the tunnel. We took some beautiful video and the photographs say it all.
We did not have time to try the food at the site but perhaps when we return a Saturday night dinner in the restaurant will be on our list of things still to do.
Well done to this site, it should be a bench mark for some others.

We were passing through so only stayed overnight. Access was fine for our 8. 5 metre motorhome. We stayed on the family site which consists of seven pitches. All are hard standing with water and drainage on pitch. Grey water drainage was via a tiny grille about 9 inches square, it was impossible to empty a Wastemaster without some overspill. The adjacent pitch had its grille surrounded by a concrete lip, much better, so I suspect our lone grille was an oversight, but I didn't check all of the other pitches. The toilets were nice and clean but they need to be checked more often, the men's toilet had run out of paper at 0830 and it had still not been replaced by the time we left at 1130. Moans apart, I would use this site again. Nearest pub is about a mile away in Great Oxenden. The Brampton Valley cycle/walk (an old railway track) runs by the site, if you use it you should know that near the village it goes through a 400 metre tunnel - take a torch.

Had a long weekend stay in July 2013. Site was easy to locate and booking for availability was excellent. On arrival was greeted very nicely and taken down to our pitch which was as described by the lake side. The pitch size was large and on hard standing, water points where next to each pitch 1 tap to each pitch and facility for putting waste water direct to drain.
Electric points where also within 10m so no issues.
Able to put up awning leaving around 6ft from awning to lake side excellent for fishing.
Fishing was great Carp, Tench, Barble, Bream and plenty of silver fish. Good sizes and quality of fish brilliant.
Café and shop on site which was very clean and well organised.
Toilets and shower facilities have been upgraded in new log cabin each having two toilets and showers which are lockable from inside and secure access.
1 piece of advice for all if you book a lakeside and intend to put up an awning make sure you have metal pegs, plastic ones will not be able to be used due to ground type.
I would recommend this site to all others and would be returning back for another visit.
Peaceful and well maintained site a joy to spend time away and have a great place to go to.
Regards Rob
