August 2003 Highly recommended. Very relaxed atmosphere and relatively few people, considering we went on August Bank Holiday.
Owners are very trusting and let you pay at the end. They also sell eggs - put your money in the tub.
You can use the fridge and freezer and there's a washing machine (£2 in the tub).
Walk the North Down's Way in either direction. Charing is a lovely village with a big church, boasting a long history (at least the verger boasts about it if he catches you).
In the other direction is a ruined church and lake. Both are about 3 miles out, three miles back.
The only slight draw back is some traffic noise from the nearby M20. Pretend it's the sea and you'll have no problem. It's not bad at all.

july 2003 As everyone else has said this is a perfect place to stay. It's a real countryside retreat and we really enjoyed our stay (even though it poured down all night!!!) We will definately return but hopefully the next time the sun will shine!

July 2002 I can only echo all that has been said before. Lovely, grassy site at the rear of the farm, and incredibly laid-back staff. No set last admittance or check out times, and campers are very much left to themselves (in a good way).
Tent folks be aware that the field is on a bit of a slope, and the ground can be stoney an inch or so down, so choose your pitch with care, and take spare tent pegs!
Not being able to park the car near the tent the pitch wasn't much of a hassle, to be honest, and in fact made the site more peaceful.
The toilet facilities were a wonderful surprise. Very clean and spacious and sited in converted outbuildings near the farm - so a bit of a walk, but well worth it. Recycling facilities were provided for tins and bottles, and there was a freezer and washing machine available in the washing-up area.
Definitely take a torch if you walk to the pub, but also definitely try to eat a meal there - great value and lovely food.
As noted, the site is quite remote and it's a fair drive to the nearest shop, although the site owner can give you directions to a smashing store a couple of miles away that sells local wines, fresh baked goods, and fresh veg and fruit.

12 July 2003 We can only echo the favourable comments of the others, a great place if you like simple, friendly camping. Considerate owners put out fresh eggs in the morning and keep spotless bathrooms. All round a great find. Well done Joe.

May 2003 Totally agree with previous reviewers. This is a lovely site & the facilities are great for one this size. The owners were very accommodating to the three small children we were with; lambs to pat on the nose, pony to feed and sheepdogs to play with. Fresh eggs delicious for breccie but we couldn't find a shop within walking distance so bring provisions.

Aug 2002 A lovely site on peaceful farm. The owners are very friendly and the toilets and showers are very clean and tidy. The site is situated to the rear of the farm and you can only take cars onto the field to load and unload. After pitching your tent or towing your van onto the field you park your vehicle on a patch set aside just outside the main field. The farm/site can be a little hard to find as we found : When you reach the village of Westwell, at the Wheel public house is a small cross road. Take the road signed for Faversham. You’ll soon come to a T junction, turn left and the lane goes up a steep hill. At the top of the hill is a left turn and Dunn Street Farm is on the right, and it is clearly signed. We stayed here in the first week of August and there were only seven other tents and three touring caravans on site at the time, although there were about five touring vans belonging to workers on the Channel Rail link on another part of the farm. The site is very popular with the Dutch & French. Apart from us and another couple all the other campers were from the Netherlands or France who were very pro English. There are animals around the farm, the owners horses, chickens and fields of sheep. You can also purchase fresh eggs from the The village of Westwell and ‘The Wheel’ public house is only a ten minute walk away. The pub serves food (except on Wednesdays) and has a beer garden. A word of warning, if you walk down to the pub on a nice evening and spend a couple of hours, don’t forget to take a torch for the walk back. It is very dark, as I found out! This is an excellent base for visiting LEEDS CASTLE, TENTERDEN & TENTERDEN RAILWAY, ROMNEY MARSH & RYE, CANTERBURY and the ports of DOVER and FOLKESTONE are short drives away.
The lane at the entrance to Dunn Street Farm is part of the North Downs Way and I did see some signs for other walks nearby, I believe another was called the Pilgrims Walk, but can’t be certain. This is certainly Walking & Cycling country so be careful if you’re driving along the lanes close to Dunn Farm.
We really enjoyed our stay at Dunn Street Farm and will definitely return.
