What a pleasure it was to stay at a 'Clean quiet and peaceful site, toilets and showers were always clean and tidy.', the owners are friendly and helpful, there were some children on site but were very quiet and wouldnt have known they were there. Ended up staying extra night. Will definitely visit again

What a lovely site, great views, we went off season so it was nice and quiet, though as we were v close to the children's playing area, I'm not sure if I would have been as happy during peak season.
Friendly staff, good amenities, Knaresborough and Harrogate within 15 mins car drive, we will go back.

Stayed here after arriving on spec and finding this the only site in the area with any vacancies. Warden very helpful. Spacious pitches and level site. Toilets very clean but number of cubicles inadequate for the size of the site. Found the site to be a bit noisy at night due to children and radios playing till late. Site would benefit from numbered pitches as we pitched on the wrong one to start with. We were pitched close to the rubbish skip which must have had a couple of months worth of campers trash in there; you can imagine the pong and I should think the rodents were having a feast at night in there. I didn't see any fire safety equipment either which isn't very reassuring; I'm sure it was there somewhere but it's nice to know where just in case. A leaflet detailing this and other site information would be a good idea. Would we stay again?.Possibly but not near that skip!

Nice campsite with clean washrooms and free hot showers. Only 2 shower cubicles in each room causing queues at peak times. As other reviews, no hand wash in the toilets after the first day. Small play area on touring field which is not ideal for families camping in tents as children would be of view from the tent field. Hook ups available on tent field, small shop which has limited stocks although there is plenty of shops in nearby Knaresborough (2 min drive) Would not hesitate returning for weekend breaks.

The owners were very friendly and helpful and this would be a lovely site but for the many groups of children still running around making a lot of noise well after 10:30pm, even though it was dark and raining. Only 2 toilets on site (always clean) which was just not enough for the amount of campers/caravaners and so consequently always had to queue, also no soap/handwash in toilets. Ideal location for visiting many places of interest and local attractions, Brimham rocks are well worth a visit.

Nice site. Good pitches - very level with lots of space. Toilets & showers were very clean. The site has a small shop which sells the basics, although fresh bread & alcohol are not stocked. We found the site very convenient for Ripley Castle where we had passes for a concert by "Off the Wall".
As it was the first day of the school holidays there were quite a few boisterous kids running about and three different groups were competing with each other to be camp DJ, but by around 10.30pm the noise had calmed down and we enjoyed sitting outside the tent with a bottle of wine. Good for a weekend break.

Lovely, peaceful campsite. Had a long weekend here with friends. The site is ideal for families with well spread out pitches and a playarea for the kids. Toilets and showers are clean and not too far from main tent/tourer area. The site staff were very friendly and helpful. There's a decent walk into Knaresbrough if you pick up the Knaresbrough Round walk trail down past the river Nidd.
