Fantastic site if you have kids. We will be returning, this time in our tent in the near future.
Outdoor pool was still to be heated but the indoor one was great. Our kids(4&5) loved it.
Nightly entertainment was very good and they made a special effort to include the children for the first hour. The childrens room was also excellant with activities each night.
Static caravan was very clean and welcoming.
Childrens play area was great for our kids and the rest of the extended families children.
If you were there over the May bank holiday weekend then I'm sorry it was our gang of kids that probably woke you up around 7.30 and they laughed and screamed around the climbing frame.
Not too sure I'd recommend the upper deck eating area for anything other than some chips, the only item on the menu that did not see the inside of a microwave.

I have been visiting this site now for 30 years, I came here as a child with my grandparents and with my parents on a regular basis in their tourers. We return here whenever we are in Devon as my husand has close family in Brixham. This is in my opinion one of the best sites I have ever been to, the pitches are large and welcoming, the super pitches to the front with the views towards Torquay are fantastic and worth the extra cost. There is a good indoor pool, sauna and steam room and gym and the outdoor pool is great on hot sunny days, just like being in the Med! It's a real suntrap and there are lifegaurds on duty. There is a crazy golf, games room, tennis courts and lots of information in the reception and you can buy tickets there for the local attractions at a discounted rate. The toilets and showers are always immaculate and included in the pitch fees and I have never had to queue. The evening entertainment is as you expect for a site like this, good quality cabaret, but there is an adults only bar too. There is a takeaway which we have used with reasonable prices and restaurant(not used - so can't vouch for that). There is a rooftop terrace bar, again great for sunny days, you can see for miles around Torbay.A walk down hill takes you into Goodrington and the beach(nice and sandy), shops and petrol station and cash machine all there. There is a Brewers Fayre pub/restaurant right on the beach and the large outdoor waterpark is right there too. This site is great all round. The landscaping is great, and it has been well laid out, with easy access to everything from wherever you are. It is pricier than some sites, but as the old saying goes, 'you get what you pay for' and you certainly do here. We have no complaints at all and highly recommend it to other caravanners.

Had a great weekend in early July (2 Children -aged 11 and 7, 2 adults (will not disclose ages). The weather was good, which was lucky as either side of the weekend was rain. On arrival, we were immediately shown to our pitch by a very friendly & helpful chap in a golf buggy. It was very windy which unfortunately snapped a tent pole - so it was a bit lop-sided for the weekend. However, due to the elevated position of site, the views of the sea are fantastic. The site is on a bit of slope, so expect to end up in a different end of the tent when you wake up in the morning (it's not that bad!). The shower blocks were always kept clean, with piped music from the local radio station. The shop has good opening hours and is well stocked - especially in the morning with warm croissants. The evening entertainment is very good, but seats can be difficult to get. There was an excellent Abba tribute band on the Saturday. The entertainment staff were also excellent, with a variety of bits for the children and adults. We are hoping to return in the school holidays, after repairing the tent pole.

Having read the reviews about this site was expecting great things and have to say was a bit disappointed. Didn't think the toilet/shower block was anything special and my husband said the gents smelled! The kids enjoyed the park but unfortunately the weather prevented us from using the outdoor pool which did look good. Used the indoor pool and have to say that was an experience I could have lived without. Hygiene not a priority on poolside and the changing rooms were totally inadequate! On the plus side couldn't fault the staff in reception or the shop which was well stocked and good value. Didn't use the bar/restaurant or entertainment so can't comment. Site was quiet after dark. The seagulls are a real problem here though - beware - only stayed for three nights but was sick to death of the early morning squawking and the tap dancing routine on our roof! Kids tried to feed a couple of ducks on the quiet and chaos/worldwar three very nearly ensued. You have been warned!

Visited this camp site June this year. Ground not level for my tent. There were other pitches which where free and more level. Asked at reception to move to another pitch but they would not help me. I could not get my pegs in the ground that hard. The cafe was not open as they said it was all day. The shop was OK had everything you needed. The club was OK very clean good entertainment. The pools were very clean and warm. The campsite had a lot of seagulls there which was not very good they were in your tent if you did not keep your eyes open. They seem to give caravans and motor homes the best pitches.

This camp site was clean and the toilets and showers were spotless. The campsite is a good two mile walk into Paighton (which wasn't mentioned on their website)
The shop was open good hours and stocked anything you required. The reception staff were very unhelpful. We had a problem with our tent, but they could not advise us of any camp shops in the area. We had bad weather (not the campsite's fault) but we were unable to make ourselves a hot drink and a hot meal ( we had no tent at this time.) The restaurant and cafe were closed during the hours of 2 till 5. We had to settle with a packet a crisps from the shop. Their priority I would say was to the caravan and motor homes, they were put on level pitches where the tents were put on pitches with slopes. The ground was so stony and hard you could not pitch your pegs in.
There were lots of flat pitches which were empty we asked if we could move, the answer was no. They said that they were taken yet they stayed empty all week.

Shortly after arriving on site ,we were personally escorted to our pitch, there was plenty of room after the awning went up. The shower block was very clean at all times with music playing. The best part was the outdoor pool,it was so warm and clean with plenty of sun loungers, the steam room and sauna are a must. During the evening entertainment they have a children's room which was great. This is a very well looked after site and I can not fault it one bit, cant wait to come back again.

Lovely site with plenty of room for tents and tourers. There was entertainment every night, even though because it was after easter there were only about 40 people in the room. There are daytime activties for adults and kids. swimming pool was lovely and warm. One word of warning - seagulls! the will get into tents and take anything, one got under our flysheet and took a bag of rubbish they are very sneeky! I would go again.

This place is Fab! We have been here many times over the past 6 years and each time has been as great at the time before.
Static Caravans: We have stayed in these twice before and both units were spotless and fully equipped.
Touring Pitches: We have stayed in a tent a few times and more recently our own caravan and we have found the pitches to be of a good size and well laid out.
Showers and Toilets: Absolutely spotless what ever time of the day that you go in them.
Laundry, Shop and Staff: Usual price when using the machines in the laundry but plenty of machines to use. A very well stocked shop and very helpful staff all over the camp site.
Club, Restaurant and Entertainment: Lovely big club serving a great variety of alcoholic and non alcholic drinks, great entertainment to suit ALL ages.(The entertainment team make this site a very special place to go) Very tasty food in the upstairs restaurant and a great balcony area outside when its a beautiful day.
Indoor and Outdoor Swimming Area: Fantastically spotless with great life guards who are brilliant at their job but at the same time they do let the kids and bigger kids enjoy themselves without being sticks in the mud.
Other Features of the Site: Tennis Courts, Crazy Golf, Takeaway Food, Very Helpful Reception, Games Room, Soft-play area, Gym and Swing Park
All of my family and friends that have been to this site have loved it. My family consists of a 9 year old diva daughter, my 15 year old son and his best mate that I think we have adopted now :), me and the hubby and my mum who is the wrong side of 60 and each and everyone of us LOVE this place! Cant wait to go back at Witsun this year.

This was a great holiday, the site was superb with everything we needed on it from a well stocked shop, great outdoor pool (loved the swimming gala on a wednesday, great fun for the kids and adults), a relaxing indoor pool, clubhouse (some great nights especially Rod Stewart lookalike.) kids loved the arcade and adventure playarea, the roads on the site were great for the kids riding there bikes around.Out and about was brilliant, plenty of great beaches(loved Blackpool Sands) the train ride from Paignton to Dartmouth was a great day out.Cockington was a place truly well worth a visit. The only problem we had with the site was the Takeaway food this was very poor. But overall the holiday was great and the weather was fantastic in the English Riviera. WELL RECOMMENDED.
