August 2005 Yes a quiet site but run by warm and friendly people. Toilet block immaculate when we visited with nice touches to make it more home-like.
Shop could have been better stocked with some essentials and perhaps larger groups with kids might find it too remote.
Can definitely recommend this site.

August 2005 One of the nicest campsites we have been to so far, its kept extremely tidy in every area of the site, especially the toilet blocks, they where modern kept very clean at all time, this is a big bonus in our eyes as we have been to many other sites where the toilet blocks really let things down badly. It was just so nice to walk into clean well cared for toilets with flowers that brought a little bit of sunshine inside. There was also a nice washing-up area and a lovely laundry room with washing machines and ironing facilities.
The pitches are of a very nice size, big enough for even the biggest of tents and flat with no stones near where you are pitching, there was also plenty of room for the car. Most of the pitches have hedges and trees for shelter on windy days, this also gave the site a lovely care for feel as plant of tree on the site looked like they where looked after with loving care.
The staff on the site where lovely, very friendly and helpful this made the stay very enjoyable and would be a must to go back again and again.
The site is situated just outside Salisbury I think it was about 4 miles to the town centre and parking in Salisbury not at all pricey. The site is adjacent to the racecourse, which would be very nice for those who love to watch horse racing.
In all I would give the site top marks!! 10/10

July 2005 Lovely spacious park. Owners did not seem too keen on children, very keen on peace and quiet (no music after 10.00 and lights out at 11.00),so if yours are like mine, give this a miss. We were in a large group and owner took exception to us having late night get together just after 11.00. I didn`t think we were too loud but he did.(not very polite either)

August 2004 A very tidy campsite situated just outside Salisbury. It is extremely adjacent to the racecourse, so will probably be very busy when meetings are on.
We were camping, pitches are nicely sized and flat, most have hedges and trees for shelter. Some pitches have more substantial hedges and boast picnic benches, very useful if you're not taking any furniture.
Shower and toilet facilities are pretty modern and clean. There is a decent-sized washing-up area and a laundry room with washing machines and ironing facilities.
The only drawback to this site is the lack of a pub nearby, but otherwise it's fine.

July 2004 A very nice site that we will be visiting again.
The site is tucked up round the back of the race course, you can see the main stand from the site. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. There is a small shop on site to get those forgotten essentials.
The pitches are roomy and some are hedged on the sides for more privacy. The amenity block looks new and was immaculate when we visited. We ever had any problems with the hot water. They have a family bathroom as well. They even have some books inside if you feel the need for a read.
The play area is large but the Eurocrats means that only the slide is in operation. Callum had great fun playing despite this. There was a lot of Europeans on site, Dutch etc, when we visited. Despite being fairly full it was still nice and quiet.
If you want a quiet base to go visit the local sites we would recommend this one.

July 2004 We visited this site as our daughter was due a stay in Salisbury District Hospital, we went up on the Saturday and made a weekend of it, meeting friends, the plan being to stay the week (as it happens her op was cancelled, so we left on the Monday evening). They were really understanding about us having to cut short our stay. It is a really lovely site, away from it all but close to town. Try to get a pitch overlooking the hills on the far side. Brian and Margaret obviously take a lot of pride in the site, lots of flower beds and landscaped areas, random tree planting, and well kept lawns. The pitches were generous and the shower block modern. Lots of French and Dutch guests. The rates are very reasonable. Unfortunately for those with kids the aged playground has had the death sentence by Health and Safety, but there is a large area for ball games etc. Everything is a car journey away, except the Race Course. We would definately go again.

Regularly Great site. Golf club adjacent to site, £15 per round, also race course next door. Brian and Margaret very helpful. Lots of Belgian and Dutch visitors. Fantastic views. We love it. Very close to Salisbury and all its attractions, but countryfied!

August 2003 Just visited the site for 5 days.
Best features are: Spacious individual camping/touring plots. Picnic Tables at most plots (some in not so good condition though. Good showers, toilets, washing sinks and washing up area. All in purpose build building. Loads of hot water! No charges for showers, ice packs etc. Friendly staff.
Worst Features are: Only 3 gents showers (not certain for ladies) that could have been cleaner. This is probably because the site was quite busy though. Just take some flip flops! Don't think there was a pub within walking distance. Best to ask about this. Shop was not very well stocked.
Would we go again, yes! Overall one of the better sites I have been too.
