We have just returned from this little gem. We had a wonderful time watching the ducks and geese with their new offspring. The toilet and shower were clean and adequate. The site well kept but could not get any signal for the TV. Only campers with sat.Dishes could get a picture.
The town is so pretty with lots of shops and cafes. The Indian restaurant / takeaway by the petrol station was excellent also the Chinese restaurant on Victoria Street.
We visited Upper and Lower Slaughter, the latter is the best. We went to Snowhill Manor but was disappointed with the manor house.
Broadway is a lovely place, just had a walk up and down the main street and had a cream tea.
Will we visit Carp Farm again. Yes Yes Yes

Nice site, well kept and clean. Quiet and away from any traffic noise. 10 minute walk into town on the gravel path past the allotments. This is a tourist town, busy and expensive!
On site, one shower, 4 toilets all cleaned reg. Various ponds but only 2 for anglers. Carp to 20lb plus. No fishing pegs as such, limited flat places for chairs, too few pegs regards the number of weekday / weekend anglers.
Owner, nice gentleman, friendly and obliging as with the other campers.
Overall, a friendly site, where everyone knows the next person!
Will we visit again. Sorry but no, we know better places to cast our lines. But thanks anyway.
Remember, this is a 'carp farm', not a fishery.

What a fantastic site, we found this site last minute and will be visiting a lot next year. The site used to breed carp fish and has several large ponds/lakes still full of fish. Also houses lots of wildlife and has stunning views over the hills.
The owner is very accommodating and friendly and likes to have a chat along with his dog Tilly. Not a huge site, houses about 10 vans, each pitch has a lovely view over the waters, with plenty of trees and greenery around.
You can walk around the site and in to the adjoining fields, which are also owned by the same owner, and visit the two donkeys that are gorgeous. If you fancy some fishing you can also do this on site. There are showers and toilets, which are clean with all the usual amenities.
Bourton on the Water is a 10 minute walk, or you could cycle in to the centre like we did which takes 5 minutes, ask the owner the best way to walk in, he can tell you the short cut. Bourton on the Water is a lovely picturesque village, which is popular with tourists, there are plenty of places to eat and have a drink at.
Also other places to visit which are well worth going to is Stow on the Wold and Upper and Lower Slaughter, lower being the prettiest. This site is ideally situated for visiting the Cotswolds, but on a lovely sunny day on the campsite, you could find it difficult to motivate yourself to move from the idyllic setting.

Great little site, nice and quiet for adults. Only a 10 minute walk to Burton on the Water centre and local amenities. Plenty of local pubs and restaurants in the village and two Spar stores. Great little base for fishing and touring the area.
Toilet block, basic but well kept with hot and cold water.
This site is well hidden away and in a lovely setting. Includes fishing, donkeys and ducks. Owner very friendly.

Adults only site. I made a telephone enquiry for the last weekend in July 09. The site owner was very nice, and very apologetic, but because of the proximity of the lakes they couldn't take bookings for groups with children.

We visited this site to try a new van. We found the site to be very well kept and the owner very helpful. We did a spot of fishing which had easy access and plenty of room to set up and good sport. The toilets/shower were clean and well kept. Nice walks 2 miles to bourton village. Will be happy to visit this site again
