This is a great little site in beautiful quiet countryside.
A friendly welcome from the owner when we arrived.
Hardstanding pitches available with plenty of electric hookups and water points.
Very clean toilet and shower facilities available in the adjacent farmyard.
A beautiful 1. 5 miles walk down to Charmouth and onto the beach which allows dogs at one end.
We will definitely be returning.

Good precise communication prior to arrival. We were allocated our own shower and toilet which made us feel a lot safer.
We walked across the fields to Charmouth and discovered the wonderful bakery which I can highly recommend.
Nice quiet site with excellent free WiFi.
I would recommend the first field as field 2 which we were in had a slope and the grass was a bit too long.

Very friendly welcome from the owner and plenty of local info given, including a lovely walk to Charmouth across fields, which was great to be able to let our dogs off for a play and a paddle in the river.
The site itself was well planned, level and peaceful. They had taken every care to make sure it was covid-19 compliant including our own toilet and shower room. Highly recommend!

A peaceful hidden gem of a site.
The communication before our visit was friendly, decent directions given on their website and yes, it is approached by quite a narrow single track road (with a few passing places) but it's a short distance and not really a problem. The welcome was warm and friendly.
Lovely rustic bathroom facilities kept spotlessly clean. No washing up facilities.
We had the whole place to ourselves for a couple of days and enjoyed the absolute tranquility.
My only small gripe was the grass was a little too long when we were there, which meant that went it rained, your feet and lower legs got very wet. Otherwise it's a beautiful site in a lovely setting.
The walk into Charmouth through the fields is nice and easy, if a little damp in places.
We shall return!

What a little hidden gem! Like it says the site and facilities are rustic, but clean and fit for purpose. The only real negative I found was that there are no dish washing facilities. Owners were lovely and helpful-well done Amanda and Jon. We will be back. You must visit!

Club CLs don't come any better than this! Actually, Westover Farm puts CCC's and CC's own sites to shame. Ok it's 'rustic', the hard standing is black clinker gravel not asphelt, but it's cheaper, open all year, the ratio of facilities is far better (two bathrooms, each with good shower, basin and WC), and there's excellent wifi given free, not at the rediculous prices Club sites charge. A special bonus for our taste is good walking straight from the site. A stile just across the road leads to a pleasant path along the river to Charmouth and the sea (2 miles), while just along the road you enter a whole network of paths in the lovely Dorset hills.
Any downsides? Large units could find the access difficult. The site is best approached via the A35 from the SW, and even that is a short stretch of narrow country road. Otherwise, there is absolutely nothing I can think of to detract from this really excellent site.

Driving along the South Coast and found this site on the UK Campsite Website as it is open all year. Working beef farm with two fields and hard standing for three units. Our 28' Autotrail fitted ok on one of them. Quite exposed but the weather was good. The owner is very nice and could not do enough for us with info ect. Waist/black water and toilet disposal is a hole at the end of the field with a metal cover. We could not fill up with water as the tap end was too large for our standard hose. The shower and toilet block which wound not look out of pace in a 5 star hotel are lovey but accessed over another field or down a road at the side of the field. They are at the back of the farmers house and heated. The walk into Charmouth takes about an hour at a slow ramble and goes through the local village of Wootton Fitzpaine. There is a path over the fields but it was a bit boggy. Lovely sea views a NISA shop and a pub. No food at the moment. Lovely peaceful site, dog friendly. We do not have kids but I would imagine they would love this site, very safe and tours of the farm for 6 or more people by Jon the owner. Booked for one night but stayed for 2. £14 a night with elect. Will stay again if passing.

Myself and my wife decided on Westover Farm as it was central to our area of interest. We only needed a tent pitch with electrical hook-up and the farm advertised showers and toilet facilities so we telephoned and booked ten days in advance.
We arrived on Monday 24th June with the dog but the owner wasn't about, it is a working farm after all but when we returned to our tent that evening a package had been left with an A4 map of the area, important phone numbers like vets, doctors, directions to local shops, supermarkets, hospitals etc.
The owner is very friendly, they welcome pet dogs and the electrical hook-ups are all in first class condition. The toilet and shower block is absolutely spotless and maintained to a very high standard, with real showers, not the 20p for 5 minutes affairs in other places, there is even a fast Wi-Fi connection covering the whole site, passcodes were included with the other information.
The Farm is only a few minutes drive from Lyme, Charmouth, Axminster etc and there is a lovely rural walk along ancient footpaths to Charmouth which takes about 20 minutes, or (if you're like us) 40-60 minutes if you like to amble along and take things in.
If you're looking to pitch a tent, caravan or camper van and like a small, well maintained, quiet site with clean toilets and showers, this is the place.
We regularly camp in many and various parts of the country and I can honestly say that this is one of the finest little campsites we have visited.
It's so good that we will always try and get a pitch on Westover Farm whenever we visit the Dorset/Devonshire area.
