Secure campsite with key code to activate sliding motorised gate. Quite big pitches with EHU. Some back onto the main road, but didn't really disturb us.
Site located very close to Leeds castle; chosen purely for this reason and we visited the castle from here. Owner very friendly. Also close to a small supermarket in Kingswood and several pubs, each about 2 miles away. Tried the Pepper Pot Inn - food was nice. Very narrow lanes around the area.
We chose a very wet week to visit and the campsite was quite waterlogged, although the hard standings were free draining. Used the EHU. Only stayed 2 nights.
The toilets were basic, only 2 male cubicles, no loo roll in one, the hand soap had run out and only 1 of the 3 wash hand basins had plugs. The urinal was a mess. It felt like the toilets weren't being monitored or maintained at all. The water in the shower was hot, although cubicles quite small, but lots of hooks on back of door, handy whilst doing the campsite 'shower shuffle' whilst putting one's clothes back on. Someone recommended using the disabled shower room as much more space - OK if someone more deserving doesn't want to use it.
No balls for the Pool Table, but perhaps we needed to ask the owner for them? The site dog scared my wife by suddenly appearing and barking, but looked friendly enough.
Overall we thought that £30/night was too much, bearing in mind how little servicing seem to be done of the toilet block. Site was OK for 2 nights, but probably won't be going back.

We have always used UKCampsite.co.uk to find our sites for our breaks …
Always good and this one was too…
Very easy to find via sat Nav though some of the lanes leading to the site are narrow but very interesting to drive along …
Pitches set amongst fir trees providing both privacy and shelter as required.
We used this site as a base for visiting Kent which we have not done before. Leeds castle just down the road and close proximity to Gloucester and Hever castle which we also visited on our stay.
(Park and Ride from Morrisons ‘WinCheap’, into Gloucester highly recommended too).
There is a nearby Nisa shop in Kingswood and also a very nice pub/restaurant called the pepperbox inn 🙂
Facilities were good… and kept clean and tidy … thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay and found Alex the site manager/owner very helpful and informative along with his colleagues.
Our daughter wants to visit Hever one day so I’m sure we’ll be making a repeat visit to the site …
Many thanks,
John and Fran🙂🙂

Quite site Very close to golf course.
Friendly reception. Walking from site difficult due to narrow road.
Directions to use footpaths to go to Leeds castle would have been helpful.

Stayed here for 12 nights as visiting a cousin in Ashford a few miles away. All-in-all a pleasant stay and very few other tents so was peaceful, apart from the reasonably busy road which passes the site. On arrival you are given a code in order to open the security gate, and a welcome chat is nice from Gavin or one of the other staff.
The site was kept reasonably tidy, the staff cutting grass etc as and when they could work around the tents and camper vans and caravans. I have given a midway score for child-friendliness as I was a solo traveller hence no kids!, but I didn't see any outdoor play area, however there was a games room which I didn't use
Pro's:
Gavin and staff very welcoming and helpful; a code-operated security gate at entrance; nice Xmas tree pitches in an ancient woodland; generally a quiet site -
Owners do not accommodate groups; kept reasonably tidy; fire pits provided;
Plenty of room for cars next to tents; after an initial welcome staff do not bother you unless you need them;
Lots of hot water, however the washing up tap water was just a dribble at times;
Tent pitches protected from wind by the Xmas trees which is always a bonus!
Con's:
Poorly drained tent pitches when raining hard; only two showers and two toilets for men, and the same (presumably) for ladies?;
Poor phone signal; £25pr/night inc EHU seemed a little over-priced for the site;
Tent pitches suffered from road noise; only a little room in shower cubicles;
The shower water jets seemed to be angled to hit you in the face and no room to move yourself out of the way;
I didn't see a regular cleaner in the toilet/shower block but they didn't seem too bad during my stay; the area suffered from lots of narrow roads which are flooded after rain;
Local drivers are dangerous drivers in my experience;

Likes:
1. Good convenient location for me
2. Nice area to walk the dog
3. Nicely spaced pitches - all hardstanding.
4. Pleasant reception
5. Free laundry facilities
Dislikes;
1. No motorhome 'service point' so no-where to dump grey waste.
2. It is tired and untidy.
3. Overpriced (£30 for one night when it should have been nearly half that IMHO).
4. Just one water tap so it is necessary to park close to it unless you have a really long hosepipe (motorhome).
5. Noisy permanent residents.
Will use again, only because it is convenient for me.

Our first ever camping trip and we couldn’t recommend this campsite enough.
Very clean toilets and showers, excellent facilities and pretty quiet. The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly.
Biggest problem is now I can’t get the kids to stop asking when are we going camping again! Loved it

We bought our caravan form the guys who own this site and as my car hasn't got a tow bar fitted (my lease is due to expire soon) and in order to get some use from the caravan they kindly let me keep it pitched here and pay when we use it
Admittedly there is little to do apart from sit and relax but that's exactly what we want while we get used to our new caravan.
The site is peaceful as there are 8 or so caravans and 5 big RV's there at the moment so its not busy and most of the noise is from the wildlife and the old planes that fly over from Headcorn.
The facilities are clean and well looked after and we look forward to going there every weekend with our dog.

I was a bit nervous about visiting this site as have seen mixed reviews but we were visiting family who were 2 minutes away from the site so for convenience we choose to try it. We were pleasantly surprised and do not understand why this place has a couple of negative reviews! It was a lovely site, so peaceful and tidy, the hard standing pitches were a good size and we were allowed to put up our awning at no extra cost, the facilities were well maintained and clean and they were all free to use including the washing machine and tumble dryer! We paid a total of £50 for 2 nights (£25 per night) which we thought was extremely reasonable as everything is included with unlimited use of electricity, water and all of the facilities; even the pool table is free! We enjoyed it so much that we cannot wait to go back when the weather is a bit warmer and all the flowers are blooming.

Found site very sorry for itself, Grass cut here and there, vans for 'sister'? site parked there appearing to be stored, 1 van seemed to be for sale and at bottom of site seemed to be 2 resident vans, toilets warm but cramped. Games room not used but very scruffy, water points scruffy and falling over, and £25 per night much too dear, e mailed site with comments no response. Could not see any connection with Finches or International as in site name, shame as potential is there
