Not a safe experience for a lone female traveller. Its a caravan storage site with a couple of pitches for a tent or motorhome.
Shower and toilets work but very old and shabby.
No reception or shop on site.
Not the owners fault but there was an extremely angry man shouting and kicking and punching things in his caravan until 4. 00am which was very scary. The only other tent packed up and left during the night, leaving me. And him!
Wicken is nice though

Nice friendly campsite. Facilities basic but clean and perfectly fine.
Nice hot showers perfect for a stop over for visiting Cambridge/ Ely.
Ate at the Local pub- the Maids Head (15 min walk from campsite).
Nice food. Campsite is off a road, traffic can be heard but didn’t bother us.
Good recycling set up.
Good value at £16 for a couple in a Campervan without electric.

Small and fairly basic campsite, but ideally placed for the Fens and the nearby National Trust Wicken Fen.
Facilities are dated, but were kept clean.
Lots of places for walking and the local pub was within a 10 minute walk.
Plenty of nice places like Cambridge and Newmarket within a short drive, so makes a good based for a few nights.

Small basic campsite with grass pitches, a few hard standing pitches and a very friendly helpful owner.
A couple of drinking water taps, grey waste emptying ( though not a drive over drain) and a toilet emptying point.
Facilities are a bit dated, and this is reflected in the price, but it looks like newer facilities are on site, but weren’t open when we visited. We travel in a motorhome and use our own, so this wasn’t a concern for us.
Waste and recycling bins are behind the toilet block.
We had a quiet pleasant stay here, there is a good pub in the village and behind the campsite, is Wicken 4x4 that has an lpg pump, very handy if you need to fill your onboard lpg tank,
Staff here are very friendly and helpful too.

Good site in a super location, easy walking onto National Trust Wicken Fen.
Good advice from friendly owner for other walks.
Plenty of hot water at the end of the day.
Would stay again.
Shame site is quite so close to road - noise.

Nice quiet basic campsite. We had a lovely bank holiday weekend here and would return.
There is no shop in the vicinity and the nearest pub is a 20 minute walk but we didn't mind that. It's about a 10 minute drive to Ely so well situated.
The showers were nice and hot but if I'm being picky they could do with being updated but not a problem for us. Peter the owner is really nice and was always happy to help.
We had the pitch nearest to the showers which was on a bit of slope and I forgot our levelling chocks but Peter came to the rescue with some wooden blocks which did the trick.

This "campsite" needs a proper review as the description is not like what you r expecting. Pitches are just acceptable but your surroundings need improvement.
There is no "real" reception and depending when you arrive you may not see "site manager" and you look for your pitch which has a board with your name on.
There are no walks around campsite (marked) in the "surrounding" countryside as the "campsite" is bordered on one side by the main road and a large area housing some residential sites and storage sites, which overall is no better than a "graveyard".
Will only return there if wanting to visit the Wicken Fen nature reserve and want to stay local.
The cost is acceptable.

Small clean campsite. Owners are very welcoming. Showers, toilets, washing up facilities all very clean. There are electric hookups.
Short walk to Wicken Fen. But its quite small with no other facilities and close to a main road so there is some noise.
Wicken village has a pub but no shop. Good for a short break
