We have recently returned from this site after our week's stay. Despite the awful weather while we were there we really enjoyed our time there.
There is nothing not to like about it. The pitches are a good size and well laid out, access to the site is very easy directly off a good road, and the toilets and showers are in excellent condition and always spotlessly clean.
We are not anglers but the site seems to be very popular with those who are, and the lakes are beautiful anyway. There is a very simple pricing structure, and the prices are very reasonable.
There is a good shop nearby for all grocery needs and a post office too. They are both within easy walking distance although we had to use the car because of the weather.
There are a couple of pubs in the village too.
The site is about midway between Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe resorts, neither of which takes long to reach.

Great little site within walking distance of shops, and local pubs. There is a fab Italian restaurant, Gigi, 5 minutes walk away, although best to check kitchen opening times for pubs and Gigi as most are not serving food Mon/Tues. The takeaway in the village was very good too.
The toilets and showers are at the entrance of the site so a little walk with one mens and 2 ladies showers. Showers are 20p for 3 mins and you can put in multiple amounts, handy if you are washing your hair. There is a mop to use afterwards but the water was dirty so I ended up making the shower dirty and didn't want to pay 20p to rinse the shower down. I did mention it to Jo as I didn't like leaving a muddy shower as there was nowhere to get clean water other than the small sinks in the toilets!
Water and waste area is closer to caravan pitches but no recycling other than glass - maybe that's due to local council waste services?
I'm on EE and had great signal plus TV reception was good.
We didn't fish but chatting to the fisherman it seems like a good place as there were lots of fish being caught. The lakes look well cared for and the fishing doesn't interfere with the caravan area.
We would be happy to stay here again.

Lovely attractive location.
Friendly helpful owners.
Great if you like fishing/lakes/birds.
Bit awkward to get to and handy for Donna Nook, Louth and the coast.
Quiet village nearby with a few shops and other facilities

Fabulous, Karl&Jo were so friendly & helpful.
Toilet & showers were so clean but door security could have been better.
Grounds are tidy & well kept.
Beautiful walks & the fishing was great.

Had a five nights stay at the camp site. If you like fishing this is the place to be.
On arrival greeted by Jo. And told where we needed to go.
The site is spacious your not in top of each other.
A stone throw away from the lakes.
A ten minute walk into the village great pubs and the bar staff at the horse bay very welcoming.
Would highly recommend this site if you want a quite and relaxing few days.
Would definitely go back

Lovely site, stunning lakes, big pitches.
Jo couldn't have been more helpful when we had to change our booking because of the heat.
Close to The Bay Horse, lovely real ale. GiGi Italian restaurant. Superb.
Good fishing.
A real bargain at £20

Just spent 6 nights at this site, what a fantastic site,
We don't do fishing but the site itself is beautiful with plenty of walks around,
No and Karl are great having only recently taken over, have got plenty of plans for the future.
Will certainly recommend this site and will use it again. We rate it 10/10
