A very friendly farm site, easily accessible one mile off the A64 between York and Malton.
There are two clean bathrooms, each with WC and free hot shower, as well as a wash-up kitchen with kettle, toaster and microwave.
Also use of a washing machine and drier for a small charge, or you can hang washing in Becky's garden.
Free reliable WiFi and use of a games room too. For us, it was an excellent base for cycling in the Yorkshire Wolds, with quiet lanes leading to Kirkham Abbey, Pocklington and Stamford Bridge.
Open all year with hardstanding and grass pitches with electric hookups, all very reasonably priced.

Lovely family friendly site.
Becky engages families in aspects of working on the farm such as collecting eggs and feeding hens.
Facilities are clean and well maintained.
Games room is great too.

We have just spent 4 nights on Becky and Phils camping site and farm.
You wont get a nicer site if you like nature and like your kids to have great experiences not involving tech!
Becky is fab with the kids. Our grandaughter loved collecting the eggs morning and night and learnt so much.
Level well kept site with spotless facilities. Kettle, microwave, fridge. Clean hot showers.

We had an amazing time. The campsite is really really clean and tidy, nice green grass etc.
The gaming room with table tennis, pool tables, darts etc is really good to have.
The owners are really really nice, they involve children in activities like chicken feeding, egg collecting, sheeps feeding and the campfire for making smores was really really good.
Amazing time!

We had arranged to purchase a trailer tent that evening in York, and obviously was so keen to set it up and have a trial run. We called a number of campsites in the area and no one was answering their phones- until we found this site. Becky immediately answered and within a few moments we had booked for that evening.
Around 6pm we arrived at the site and with the instructions on finding it given by Becky we were through the gates very quickly.
We called Becky to say we had arrived and as she was on the farm she quickly came down and showed us out pitch and the facilities on site.
The site is a caravan and camping club certified site, so as usual a small 5-6 pitch site but this site stood out from the rest. It was so so well kept. Lovely green flat and laid out in such a way that everyone on the site had ample of space! Our 9m by 5m tent just sat there and did not overcrowd!
Every pitch has their own ehu which was clearly carefully considered as to its location to not have cables trailing everywhere!
Becky left us to pitch and checked in a hour later to make sure we were settled and wasn't struggling with the new trailer tent. She got to know the children personally by name and proceeded to take all the children and parents to feed the hens and look at the combines! The kids LOVED this!
The site has a lovely little games room with activities for the children which our children made use of.
The next day was our time to head home. We packed up and said bye to Becky. And booked in again for another 3 nights in a couple of weeks!
Yes we absolutely loved this site. Far enough away from everywhere but close enough too!
There is a small petrol station nearby and a caravan shop should you need anything too!
We found a small Tesco express very close by and it had everything we would need for a night or a week!
From all of us, a massive thank you to Becky and her family for making this small site amazing and better than a LOT of bigger alternatives.

A lovely small campsite located on a working farm. The owners were lovely and very helpful. They even offered the children chances to feed the chickens and sit on the tractors and learn about farming life and seeing the combine-harvester up close.
The site had two toilet/shower rooms that were kept really clean and a little kitchen for washing up with a kettle, toaster, washer, dryer, fridge with freezer section and a microwave. You can also order food in advance from the owners if you need it. Plus it had a games room for table tennis, pool and swingball, which was a great hit with all ages.
Having wifi was helpful if not essential for the teenagers to feel in touch with friends.
It is a relatively sheltered site on the rolling hills with great views over the countryside. Good level ground and it drains well, so little chance of flooding.
It is in a good location near to the A64 (but no road noise) and close to York.
We also visited the Yorkshire Moors, Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington. Loads to see and do in the area for all ages.
The site is in a small hamlet, but there is a garage/ shop/ caravan shop/ american diner within a 2min drive.
We had a fab time and would highly recommend this site to anyone who likes smaller sites.

Genuinely the best campsite we have stayed on. The owners are so accommodating, they cannot do enough for you. Our 2 children say it’s their favourite place to stay.
There is so much space for the children to run around, collecting eggs, feeding chickens are a highlight. Roasting marshmallows round a campfire on a Saturday night is a favourite for us all (especially my husband). The showers are brilliant and unlimited hot water.
The site is immaculate and the facilities absolutely brilliant. About 15 minutes drive to Malton with a brilliant market, lovely places to eat (ice cream parlour is brilliant) and an added bonus of free parking for 2 hours!
Becky the owner has brilliant local knowledge and can recommend all the best local places.

We have been going to this site for the last 8 years, we wouldn’t go anywhere else! The site owners are so friendly! Lovely site, great facilities and always spotlessly clean!
Plenty of 16A hookups are available. There is a washing up area, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge/freezer for general use. A washing machine is available for use for a small charge. The children can collect eggs, learn about the animals and attend the organised campfire where they can toast marshmallows.
There is a games room with a pool table and tennis table as well. The location is perfect for visits to York and the coast. Would recommend to anyone!

Let's start by reviewing this site in its correct context. It's a working farm that's been partially converted into a Camping and Caravanning club 'certificated site'. This means that all the owners needed to have done was set a field aside and show that it had space to accommodate five units, a fresh water supply and somewhere for chemical waste disposal.
And that's why, whichever way you look at it, this site scores so highly. It's in the beautiful hamlet of Harton, which is the sort of rural Yorkshire village you see on picture postcards, and offers spectacular views over open countryside towards Castle Howard. It's only a mile from the A64 which links York and Scarborough, but you wouldn't know it.
The touring and camping areas comprise well-maintained grass on - and I know this because I tried to cycle it - the only level piece of ground in this part of Yorkshire. All of the pitches have electric hook-up. There are two toilet and shower rooms, which have permanent hot water and are kept spotless. There is an indoor games room with table-tennis and pool tables and a kitchenette with a microwave and toaster (free to use) and a washing machine and tumble dryer (pay to use via honesty box).
The owner, Becky, is a delight who will always take time out to chat and offer help to her visitors and offer children the opportunity to help feed animals.
The only ever so slight downside - which is in no way the site's fault - is that the nearest pub is in driving rather than walking distance. Which is a shame when one of the pubs in question - I won't say which because apparently Becky only recommends it to people she likes! - brews its own delicious ale on the premises. Sadly that same establishment doesn't serve food on Saturday evenings and directs you to another pub in the next village, where the food is wonderful but the beer is anything but. Maybe the two places should set up a joint venture.
It's not often that we return to a site we've previously visited, because we prefer to explore new places. But we WILL be returning to this one. It's definitely one of our three all-time favourites and possibly the easiest 10/10 we've ever awarded. We loved it, loved the area, loved everything.

It's our first year doing camping holidays around our home county. We found this site by accident, the location is brilliant, facilities ok, although the showers and toilets were very busy and we had to wait in a queue each morning. 2 showers and combined toilets, maybe a separate toilet is required.
The site owner does activities for the kids but is very strict, the kids did get shouted at on occasions. Noise of an evening was quite bad with other holidaymakers shouting into the early hours. The closest shop is an expensive garage at the end of the road. There is no pub within miles which is a major downside.
There is an American diner near the garage but getting to it is a nightmare on foot trying to cross the A64! I doubt we would return.
