This was perfect for our first group meeting since before the pandemic. T
He owners couldn't have been more helpful. Even provided a large marquee and served 24 of us with pie and chips as we couldn't use the cafe.

Wendy and Mark were fantastic. I would go back just to see them again.
It was so handy having a shop and cafe on site which sold delicious scones and cakes as well as meals if you couldn’t be bothered to cook.
Would highly recommend a visit.

We originally booked a 2 night stay in our campervan, which unfortunately broke down, the night before. I phoned Wendy, she said the pod was available, she cleaned and made up the bed.
Fabulous pod we loved it. Cosy and warm, comfortable bed, kettle, small fridge, TV to play videos, radio, electric plug sockets.
The family, Wendy, Mark and Garath, are so lovely, friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
Food in their cafe 'The Watering Hole' cooked by Garath, is delicious, we had a sunday roast, apple crumble custard, pots tea and coffee, delivered to our door, by Wendy and Mark!
Great small site, basic toilets, showers, washing up area, washing machine.
We booked an extra night, went to see Ludlow castle, 20 mins away. Also went to Wigmore castle, Leominster.
Definitely recommend this site and will be returning ourselves.

Having arrived at Midway Watering Hole on the Thursday as a group of friends (bikers-yes hairy kind), we put our tents up in pouring rain. Wendy and Gareth (her son) were ready with cooked breakfasts and never-ending tea for us, due to the awful weather we were allowed to erect their marquee for our own use to socialise, eat, ect out of the elements.
They arranged a BBQ, pork rolls and generally couldn't do enough for everyone on the lovely camp site. Homemade food is amazing! They sell essentials, nothing was too much trouble.
Yes showers and toilets were basic but everything was clean and adequate.
Can't wait to go back weather with tent or our tourer. Thank you Wendy, Mark and Gareth. What a team 😁.

Pleasant woodland & river walks accessed from village (but no pavement from site to village so take care)

Fantastic campsite, went with friends with a mix of tents, the site caravan and the pod. Caravan and pod very clean and comfortable.
Wendy arranged a bbq for us on the Friday night and a gorgeous carvery on the Saturday night. Exceptional service and fab food. Breakfast was very filling with endless tea and coffee.
Clean toilets and shower, very peaceful will visit again.
Many thanks. Eye of Ra bike club

I had a lovely stay for 4 nights in my campervan here. Nice location and scenery. Small site which wasn’t too busy. Some small animals to watch.
Peaceful and relaxing place. The owners are really friendly. There is a cafe on site which also welcomes people passing by on bikes and in cars etc.
Couple of toilets and a shower for females, I’m assuming same for males. Water point etc. Usual necessaries. I used the electric hook up. I didn’t need the hardstanding as the grass was in good condition and firm. It felt safe and not too far away from anything. It was nice to relax on site as well as going exploring.

We found this campsite last minute for the August bank holiday.
Mark and his family were so welcoming. This campsite is in a quiet location, with local pubs within walking distance.
We had barbecues outside our tent in the evenings and we had breakfast in the cafe both mornings and could not fault it !
We briefly popped to Ludlow for food shopping which took around 20 mins in the car from the site.
The shower and toilet block is basic but absolutely fine for 2 nights of camping!
We will definitely be back, thank you Mark and family. X

Stayed one night here. We were the only touring van there. Close to busy road. Friendly owners.
Toilet facilities are really behind the times and need updating badly. Lovely walk up the hill gives great views.
