Working farm. Friendly owner, peaceful, stunning views of the mountains from the campsite.
Spectacular walking directly from the campsite. Clean, spacious, free showers.
Really narrow roads on the final approach to the campsite, even by the usual standards of rural Wales.
However, the separate certified site for motorhomes has less narrow roads to it.
We loved it and will be back.

Thomas is very friendly and helpful.
The top pitches have amazing views and sheltered by a hedge.
The facilities are very good. The kitchen is a great facility including the fridge freezer. Running hot water and large free hot showers with good hanging for clothes and towel well thought out.
It was lovely to be able to light a wood fire in the evenings in the fire pits provided by Thomas.
The snug is a great idea especially if it is raining. The only criticism is that the sofas looked grubby. Maybe wooden chairs would be better.
Good value. Thank you Thomes

A beautiful peaceful place for people who don’t like to be noisy but like to listen to the cacophony and variety of birdsong and appreciate the wonder.
Thomas has a great recycling ethos (facility for plastic, paper, tins, glass and food) so bring yourselves and leave only a bit of flattened grass!

Beautiful site in a fantastic location in a quiet wooded valley, with excellent walking into the hills from the site.
Friendly and helpful owners, very relaxed feel on site and good facilities.
Fridge/freezer in the kitchen was much appreciated as it is some miles to the nearest shop.
Two suggestions we'd make to improve site further - another washbasin in the toilet area and some extra ventilation in the shower rooms. During hot weather they resemble saunas due to lack of windows!

Beautiful and peaceful location set in the most amazing position. Owners really kind and helpful.
Facilities are good enough and has everything you could possibly want set in the most idyllic surrounding.
We have stayed in many campsites and we both agreed that this one was one of the best.
Its a fairly remote site and access could be a problem for larger units but definitely worth the angst!

Lovely quiet location.
Friendly host.
Hot showers and other facilities good.
We did an ascent of Fan Y Big in very wet weather but loved every second of our stay.

Very windey lanes, increasingly narrow, to get here. Stayed in top field closer to toilets/showers. Large shower rooms, but only 2 of them. 'Snug' was open on one side, and had some old sofas in, not sure how clean they were though. But it also had the two large washing up sinks so no problem if it rained.
Plus a fridge freezer which was great for rotating the ice packs. Also a toaster and kettle. Whole block is a rustic wooden shed really, so come expecting spiders/moths etc.
Open space to camp - no defined pitches. Lower area was next to stream, but had a long slog up a steep slope for loo breaks and drinking water.
Wonderful location, was able to walk from site up footpaths onto Fan-y-big, and along ridge to Cribyn, Pen-y-fan and Corn Du, and back again. Other walks also possible from site - all uphill!
Only issue was the farmer's barking dog in the large metal echoing shed which woke me up every hour or two throughout the night, for several nights. I even spent one night in the car, but could still hear it.
Think I got used to it/suffered from exhaustion on later nights and began to sleep though it. Otherwise, I would come here again.
When I told the farmer I was leaving a day early due to the heatwave the farmer gave me a night's money back, even though I hadn't even considered asking for it.
A good man.

Perfect place for us - low key, quiet, off the beaten track, a lovely field, wonderful views and birdsong.
Just a couple of toilets and showers and kitchen area and great to have a recycling ethos.

Loved this place! Would definitely stay again, the owner was very welcoming and polite.
We enjoyed the long walks and walking up fan y big where you could see for miles.
They have great facilities, toilets, showers, and a basic kitchen with only a fridge, toaster, sink for washing dishes. You have to take you own cooking camping gear to cook.
They also provide a fire pit free of charge and it's £6 for a box of logs.
