A basic but amazingly situated site with views of the bay and the Abbey.
Once you get over the slightly odd toilet set up.
Peter is a nice bloke

Excellent location with wonderful views over Whitby on a nice clear day.
Ideal location for visiting all the local attractions, Robin Hoods bay, Staithes and the moors.
Owner is always very helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

As you pull in you are blown away by the stunning views. Spoke to the owner on the phone to agree a pitch. He was very friendly and helpful.
Generally very peaceful site and no noise at night
Level hardstanding was ok, but glad we weren't putting up the awning as grass was an inch higher than the hardstanding.
One clean toilet room with 2 toilets and a shower, but all in one room, so only one person or a very open family could use it at a time.
No potwash area.
Doesn't allow pup tents even if you are not putting an awning up.
Put the price up when he came to collect because he hadn't realised I had 3 children.
As others have said, not the campsites fault, but the lack of footpaths on the road leading to the campsite makes short journeys on foot hardwork.

Lovely quiet side, lots of space around the caravan and fabulous views towards the sea.
Peter, the owner, is really friendly and helpful; will definitely make a return visit.
The only little thing is that there is only one toilet/ shower, so if you need the loo and the person inside is having a shower you've got a fair wait which isn't great when it's raining.
But the toilet/shower was clean and it did have some soap. It's basic but I think that is reflected in the price.

Lovely quiet little site. Lots of space on our pitch. We stayed with a 10 man tent with porch so your not limited.
Lots of space for kids to play.
Amazing views. So peaceful. Only thing is if you are in the bottom field camping it is a bit of a uphill walk to the toilet but that didn't bother us.
There is 2 toilets and a shower but they are all in the same cabin so if you need the toilet and the person before you is showering you have to wait. There isn't another toilet.
That would probably be the only thing I would change, maybe a couple of porta loos are also needed.
Would defo stay again though.

Great location with a fantastic view from your caravan, looking out to sea.
The site was nice and quiet, and although road noise was loud during the day, it died down night.
Facilities could do with an upgrade, but the shower worked well, and you pay for what you get.
Peter was very helpful.
Would stay again if we were in the area.

Amazing views, lovely location, quiet area, really relaxing. Very dog friendly. Shower was spotless and toilet are was clean.
Could do with another toilet and a pot wash area please. Maybe some soap in the bathroom please.
Note - not to do with the campsite but the location - the walk down the road into Whitby wasn't very nice as harsh grassland at the side of a busy road. Best getting a taxi.
