I was made very welcome by the hosts.
The facilities are of a good standard. I mostly had the field to myself so it was peaceful and relaxing.
Just up the road in walking distance is a great pub the Jolly Thresher where the food was amazing.
Overall I would definitely return here when visiting family in Altrincham. Thank you. X

We needed an overnight stop to meet up with friends from Lymm and this seemed the best option. We were a little fazed by the potholes in the access track but, as it happened, the management filled them in within an hour of our arrival, so it was a smooth start to our journey the following morning.
There’s a big paddock beyond the (slightly scruffy) working farmyard, mostly grass but with a hardstanding area big enough for 2 motorhomes. A panoramic view of Manchester is out to the east. EHU and water were immediately adjacent.
The bathroom facilities are accessed through an unpromising looking entrance in the side of a barn, but reveal themselves as 2 individual washrooms and a separate shower room, all finished to a high standard and with decent, unlimited, hot water.
The dunny dump is in the corner of a field near the farmhouse and a large gully serves as a drive over grey waste drain.
We ate at the busy but friendly Jolly Thresher nearby and noted, but didn’t use, the convenience store opposite. The site itself can sell you eggs, milk and bacon, like farmers used to do.
We got into a long and interesting conversation with the farmer, and left half an hour after we’d intended.

This is a really good site in a brilliant location
Let's correct a few points from other reviews!
Firstly the toilet emptying is not in the middle of a field - it is at the edge of a field but it is on the other side of the farm yard from the pitching site.
New wc and showers have been installed this year and look very smart although we did not use them.
Other good points:
1. Lovely flat site. It's field grass not a lawn but that makes it a bit more resilient.
2. View across to Manchester is terrific - watching the city lights appear in the gloaming was magical
3. Two really good pubs within a 5 minute walk.
4. Very handy for the motorway network.
5. Lovely spacious pitches.
This is a working farm - if you want manicured grass and hanging baskets this is not for you but there is a real shortage of sites in this area and we thought this site was excellent value and we will be back!

Lovely little site, peaceful with wide views.
New toilets and a shower, clean but no heating and shower a bit weak but it's ok.
A small supermarket and pub nearby easy to walk to.
Ideal for trips to the area or as a stop off on a long journey.

Ideal location for a stop off down south and up north on the way via the M6.
Lymm has what looks like good pubs (we didn’t use due to covid) a petrol station and a mini supermarket.
It’s a field next to a working farm yard with a view over Manchester. A couple of hard standing areas the rest is (long) grass.
Water point is a bit low you needed a hose. As mentioned the Elsan disposal is a trek. Just installed shower toilets are very nice indeed. Good dog walks nearby. Friendly owners who have for sale home produced meat.
When we were there quite a bit of activity with caravan storage.

Lovely site with a great shower. Handy goods and delicious bacon on site and a supermarket just down the road.
Dogs enjoyed a long walk at NT property 10 min drive away and walking down by the canal.
Will definitely be staying again.

Beautiful little site perfectly located 4 miles from M6 motorway. Open views across to Manchester and the city scope.
Friendly welcome by Nigel. Loved the brand new shower and toilet facilities. Also loved that you can buy fresh eggs and bacon on site.
Thanks fa lovely stopover

Good field with views across the valley.
EHU but no facilities except a portaloo which we did not use.
£18 a night bit expensive but only there for overnight stay.
Scruffy farm.

Ok We have visited this site twice now and as I have said before its excellent peace and tranquillity not just a stop over point but a site to relax in especially when you've just come out of hospital.
I didn't post this last time on my review but its suggested the dog walk. Please cut the grass on the designated dog walk for when come next time.

We spotted this site on the net after looking for somewhere near Warrington as my Daughter was going to a concert. I can only say I'm glad we found it.
It was peace and tranquillity at its best the view from the site is outstanding and were well entertained by the lambs in the field next to us I believe everything has already been said about this site I really couldn't add much more.
The only downside to the site is only one water point and a good trek pulling your toilet cassette to disposal point. Other than that I cant fault anything. Hopefully back next year certainly in our book of must go again sites
