What a gem of a site! We visited for one night as a stopover on the way to Scotland. We were travelling through Storm Babet and due to a combination of that and roadworks we arrived later than anticipated.
The pub stops serving food at 730, we telephoned ahead and they agreed the chef would wait until we arrived. We're so glad he / she did; the food was fantastic, simple pub food and sourced from the local butcher, we both had pies and they were the best we've had in a long time, even better washed down with a real ale and served by friendly staff.
The site itself is only small, but flat and large pitches.
Only a short drive from the local parkrun.
The only downside is no toilets, although you can use the pub toilets when they're open.
We'd definitely stay again if in the area.

We used this site as a stop over but would return for a longer stay.
Small site at the back of an excellent pub in a nice village location. Great food and ales in the pub.
Large and well maintained serviced pitches.
Good base for Carlisle, coast and Lakes.

EXCELLENT Idyllic-Quite village location!
Try this site as a stop off en route on the M6 near Carlisle first!
Clean, 'manicured' grass between ideal hard standing pitches.
Grey waste and chemical disposal facilities conveniently placed, clean and well tended.
The adjoining pub on site takes dogs (into the rear garden) good beer menu is good pub fair.

Beautifully maintained site, great, well priced meal in pub, a great 1 nightstop over en route to Scotland.
Nice staff in pub.
A little tricky to find along the lanes but worth it.

Excellent site, quiet, all hardstanding and very well maintained. The pub is warm and welcoming with excellent food and service. Handy for Carlisle and the northern lakes.
We will definitely be back hopefully for longer next time. Site has picnic benches and small play area for the kids.
Basic facilities, but having own shower in the motorhome is a plus for us on sites like this.

Excellent site - clean and tidy, very well organised. Nice quiet location and very convenient for us as a base for walking Hadrians Wall.
Also close to Carlisle and lovely countryside. The pub is great, very good wholesome pub food - nothing fancy and expensive, perfect.
Friendly and helpful landlord. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

I hesitate to leave a review, as I don't want others to find out about this little gem.
There are no facilities, apart from chemical point.
Ten hardstanding pitches, with good space between for a bit of privacy.
Peaceful considering it is on the back of a pub. And boy what a pub, we spent the Friday night in the pub when live music night was on. So very handy to stroll back to the van, oops several beers later.
The pub is worthy of a visit food superb, beers excellent choice of cask ales. All reasonably priced for a good evening, and the log fire made it.
So I won't recommend this to any one as I don't want it to get busy so I can't get on.
15 minutes from Carlisle centre and handy for North lakes.
Price is superb for a nights pitch as well.
Hosts fantastic and welcoming to the pub as well.
Go for a night and you will return.

A very good, clean campsite. The pitches have plenty room so you don't feel invaded by neighbours and all have electricity.
There is a very friendly pub on site which sells excellent food and great value for money. Carlisle is only a short 5 minutes drive away with plenty to do for all ages.
Will definitely be making this site one of our regular sites to visit.

After hearing about this little village pub and caravan park from friends who regularly eat here, we decided to stay for a couple of nights.
We booked our pitch on Facebook by simply messaging them. We were told just to go and get ourselves set up when we arrived and call into the pub later to pay.
The pub is open from 12pm-2pm and 6pm-late. We went in at 6pm for food and ended up staying for a few drinks, the owners and the locals and the lovely open fire made us feel very welcome.
The food was fantastic! We were told the meat comes from the village butcher. Its proper pub food, and lots of it.
The site is a lovely peaceful site through a gate on the car park. All the pitches are hard standing. There is no toilets or showers but this was no problem. There is a waste disposal point.
The views over the hedge is beautiful. There are so many birds singing, and bunnies running around the field.
A very relaxing 2 days. And only a 5 minute drive into Carlisle!
The pub often has music nights, all are advertised on their Facebook page, so we intend to go back very soon!
