I absolutely love this site. Quiet, so peaceful, views stunning.
Farmer so nice and so approachable.
This was our third visit and defo going again.
Walks are great.
Walking to Hartington for supplies was nice.
Tissington Trail is so close with a lovely old signal box as a cafe.
People are so friendly.
Only minimum facilities but that’s what we like.
Lovely walk on Tissington Trail from site through Biggin, called into Waterloo Inn for a quick cider and back home.
If you want a great getaway, no kids, walking and Chatsworth Farm Shop and house, Bakewell and Buxton plus many other beautiful walks or cycling then this is the site for you. Xxx

Basic site next to a farm with friendly farmer. Fresh water & black waste. Lovely location for local walks.
Very quiet & relaxing (very little phone signal which was perfect!)
Near to the Tissington Trail but difficult access to the trail with a bike, fine on foot - 5 min walk.

Such an amazing stay, we were made to feel so welcome and relaxed.
Fantastic views, walkers paradise straight from the site.
Extremely relaxing the following day as Christine and Steve did not have any strict rules about when we departed site.

This is an Adult Only small, rural site in the heart of the Peak District. I don't usually book Adult Only sites because I fear they will be too regimented and ruly (if that's a word) but this was ideally situated on the Tissington Trail with a short (ish) walk to the pub, so I booked.
There are NO FACILITIES except fresh water and waste/toilet emptying. There's less than 10 pitches, most with EHU and on gravelly/grassy hardstanding. It very much feels like you are staying in a farm yard and the views are fab.
We took our bikes down a steep descent to get onto the Tissington Trail behind the farm and cycled downhill to Ashbourne. On the way back we exited the track at Biggin and cycled back via the road. We had emailed to request a late departure on the Sunday to allow us to do the cycle ride and they allowed us to leave in the afternoon
On Saturday evening we walked into the village using the footpath across the field from the site, there was a bull in the field but he didn't bother us. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the village pub and the staff and locals were very friendly. There is a campsite behind the pub, The Waterloo Inn, Biggin which allows children. We booked via online booking and paid £13. 50 with EHU - I believe it was £12. 00 to book direct.
I loved the rustic feel and location and would return.

Spent last weekend at Chapel Farm in Heathcote. This is a very basic adult only site with no toilets or showers it does have drinking water and waste disposal. We love the site it is small, quiet and peaceful but you must remember it is a working farm so there are animal noises plus machinery and people around.
There is lots to do in the immediate area, many public footpaths, in fact a public footpath runs through the farm. Access on to the Tissington Trail is nearby.
There are some amazing views from the caravan site.
We love the site this was our 4th visit and we will return. At £17 for two nights (no EHU), it's perfect for a few nights away.
Friendly owners who leave you alone but are around if you need them.

A basic site with no facilities in a beautiful location. We walked to the pub at Biggin and enjoyed a drink and decent pub grub. The following day we cycled the Tissington trail into Ashbourne which was thoroughly enjoyable. We paid through online booking and never saw the owners, we just pitched up in a free space. Would return.

We wanted to stay in the Hartington area over a long weekend in October at short notice, and found most sites fully booked. Came across this one on UKC, was a little concerned that there was only one review. Phoned and found they had plenty of space! It's a peaceful location (some occasional farm noise during working hours), in the hamlet of Heathcote. Beautiful scenery and plenty of walks start right from the site. Very easygoing farmer. We paid £12. 50/night with EHU. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind to us, but we were able to get off the upper part of the site with no problems (it's partially hard standing). We would definitely return, hopefully in sunnier weather! By the way - by far the best pub we found in the area was the Staffordshire Knot, at Sheen. A short drive but well worth it!
