Very good position on cliff top by bay but exposed. Approach is via a long single track road which is very busy at certain times. Random parking on site, so can end up too close to neighbours and no fire distance between vehicles and tents.
We had paid for electric hook up but had difficulty finding a flat plot near a hook up point which then did not work for all of us. Only two sockets worked but when reported we were just told "only use 6amp, someone is overloading it". Not true as one tripped all the time, without anyone using it.
Chip shop on site which appeared popular. Milk and a few essential groceries sold in shop.
Toilet block was only cleaned once a day, so by evening it was horrible. No soap in the dispensers at times, no hand towels and also no toilet paper on one occasion. Shower cubicle very small and no space to put gear. Only a few temporary hooks available and no space for stool. Water was hot. We were given a key for toilet block but the ladies block kept being snagged open so anyone could use it.
The dish washing block was in poor condition. Only two sinks with hot water from one tap. This had a note on to say be careful as tap loose. The light switch was hanging off the wall and held on by sellotape. There was one sink outside with cold water.
Noise curfew at midnight but this was not kept as we were disturbed by a party enjoying themselves until 3. 30 am on our last night.
There are nice walks in surrounding area. We walked from campsite to Lochinver, over hill. This was about 10 miles altogether.

We loved this site.
We had a grass pitch, I think they all are, without EHU, within 100m of a perfect sandy bay with a beautiful aquamarine sea rolling in with the wind.
The on site facilities are excellent, and the showers and toilets are clean and well-maintained. There is a shop/reception with those items that you forgot, along with ice creams and on six evenings a week there is a fish and chip shop serving the best fish and chips we have had in ages and the portions are generous.
Walking from the site is easy with rocky, rolling meadows on the seaward side and walks in land easy to access.
The only thing that is lacking is WIFI, but that isn't just the site, the whole area is poorly served by internet and telephone, something beyond control of the site.

The site is accessed via a narrow road and is quite remote compared to other sites on the nc500.
Beautiful beaches and a peaceful quiet location. Reception is poorly signposted and fails to mention you have to basically approach what looks like someones house.
We sat outside for some time trying to figure out where it was before having to phone and confirm.
This would be the perfect location with the weather however for us personally, with poor weather on our trip meant we were more limited in what we could do.
Shower and toilet block were not very clean however the shower was lovely and warm.
The fish and ship shop is a great addition to the site and the food was fab.

After visiting here in April 2009 (simonleeann review), this was my 1st choice for a weeks stay on the north-west coat. It is a wonderful spot with access to great walks and Munro/Corbett bagging. It is also very relaxing to stay around the campsite and beach.
I was here at the start of the season and work had not been finished on the new showers - hopefully this will be done for your visit and that hot water will be switched on for washing.
The chippie opened for the first time for the summer season on my last night - the fish and chips are wonderful and well worth a night here just to enjoy them too.
If you are looking to stay in the area, you will not need to to be told that there is spectacular scenery, wonderful walks and the peace of nature.
Please be aware that many roads in the vicinity are single track and patience and curtesy is needed.
Enjoy.

Excellent location accessed via a very narrow single track road Not the flattest site and just choose your own pitch - so get there early if you want somewhere flat.
A rock headland at one end of the site and a gorgeous beach with soft white sands and turquoise waters at the other end.
Facilities are good, showers not hugely roomy.
Very small shop sold basics and there was a takeaway fish and chip shop on site most evenings.

Wow what a location!
This was by far the best campsite we stayed at on our nc500 trip!
Lots of showers, shop and as close to a lovely white sandy beach as you could get! Also an on-site chippy.
What more could you wish for?
We will definitely be returning.

Not the flattest site and just choose your own pitch - so get there early if you want somewhere flat.
Right next to a gorgeous beach with soft white sands and turquoise waters.
Facilities fine, showers not hugely roomy.
Very small shop sold basics and there was a takeaway fish and chip place.

Great site next to one of Scotland's best beaches.
Despite the lack of guidance most people park in a reasonably orderly fashion.
If you're bemused by the recent post COVID dog owning boom you'll enjoy the no dog stance, it makes sense given the amount of sheep grazing nearby.
The showers are small but never lacking in hot water; I've always found the facilities to be clean.
The on-site chippy attracts custom from outside the site which is a good sign and they do offer gf batter too. The queues were quite long when we were there but that was opening night and they had a few teething problems with their new fryers.
A quick warning for those who like to live attached to a mobile device: the signal is poor, unless you want to climb a hill.

Great location next to the beach,
We were disappointed that the fish and chip shop was closed, we would have got food on way in had we known. Thank you

Nice site, fairly level grass pitches, shop, nice beach, 90min offroad walk to Lochinver.
Pitches undefined so haphazard parking results in failure to keep safe distances.
Facilities quite good but in need of some maintenance and renewal.
