Easy check in, very relaxed staff provided wood for campfire, no fuss.

Showers and pot washing were good and regularly cleaned.

It was pitch where you like in the large main field, nice and level plots and a short walk to the facilities.

Pub within and easy walk.

We were met by an extremely friendly and helpful team at the campsite.

Facilities were great and the showers and toilets were kept really clean.

A really good stay 👍

Lovely site for a weekend break. Owner very friendly and helpful.

Great walks along canal (only short distance from site) to local villages and Marina.

Large pitches.

Shared pizza oven and communal seating area.

Great stay, will visit again if in the area.

Pro's - lovely quiet site, apart from the kennels behind the site and the shooting range not too far away.

Cons - Facilities were tired, mouldy, smelly and full of cobwebs.

There were also 3 large family groups over the weekend, where the adults had a party once the kids were in bed!

Comments - Seems to be used by "tenters" rather than caravan or motorhomers.

The £30 a night cost was unjustified. We've been to other independent sites costing the same and had a ball.

There's nothing on site, it's a fair trek to the closest shops, and the local restaurant, whilst not being far, stops serving food at 8pm.

The guy Tom was friendly, but we'll not be back.

We are very pleased with the wonderful place :)

Away from the street and cars safe for children - our children are very pleased. Friendly place for dogs.

I recommend to everyone.

We had a lovely stay but I wouldn't call the campsite peaceful - with the kennel noise, the (distant) A50 noise and being on a flight path to EMA (which woke us at 4am on a Saturday morning)!

The other real negative we had was people's lack of respect for other people's pitches. Maybe it's just us but we taught our children that you don't walk across other people's pitch. Yet we had kids playing football on ours!

However, the owners were absolutely lovely, the site was well kept, the facilities were clean and the price was reasonable.

I don't think we would return but as with all campsites it's down to personal preference.

The pub across the bridge was great, but the one 20 minutes down the canal (on the way to Mercia Marina) was even better.

Lovely position perfect for canal walks.

Nice quiet location. Feels secure as someone was mainly on site.

Would stay here again and recommend.

Clean and friendly

Lovely weekend at four oaks campsite. Little gem.

Great facilities and lovely walks straight from the site. T

 Lovely site.

Clean tidy and friendly.

Nothing too much trouble.

Busy pub 5 mins walk past canal lock.

Lock has a restaurant adjacent.

Had a great time.

Thanks to Tom and Brett
