What a little gem this site is. The camping field slopes slightly but is spacious.
The toilet block is first class however it is unisex, which didn't both us but may bother some.
The site is situated a 10-15 min walk from the Wellington Inn in Darley, with footpaths from the site.
Take note, the site has about 6 chickens which roam freely over the site during the day and being chickens they are very curious so don't be surprised to find one in your tent or van if you leave a door open.
The site owners, Brian and Sue are very helpful and will help you where they can.
There are plenty of walks from the site. There's an Aldi near Harrogate about 9 miles away or a Co Op at Pateley Bridge about 5 miles away.
Overall, a great little find and a site well definitely visit again

A very quiet, peaceful site - a large well tended field with views across the valley. Friendly hens wandering about.
The access road, Dairy Lane, is a quiet road which is a little narrow but not a problem if driven with care and is only a few miles from the A59.
Very clean, modern showers/toilets/washing room.
A perfect site if you want to get away from it all but still well placed to drive to attractions in the area.
My only criticism - couldn't see a sign clearly showing where to go on arrival.

A superb site, combining views, peace, welcoming & helpful while non-intrusive owners, immaculate facilities at least the equal of much more expensive sites, and much more.
Our EHU grass pitch, (these are all up by the drystone wall at the top of the field), needed no levelling ramp, and there was also an easy tow across the field from the hard track.
Facilities block has heat pump underfloor heating, and was always pleasant to use. 2 good hot showers.
On clear nights the Milky Way was visible, so an almost Dark Sky site, with no intrusive lighting. The barn owl flew right up by our 'van one evening too. They had kestrels nesting in the barn earlier this year.
While our neighbours parked their camper and simply walked from the site each day, we have some mobility issues and still visited very attractive places easily - Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks, Ripon, Pateley Bridge, and plenty more, so it's suitable for both walkers and others.
A stable door on the caravan is useful, it keeps the hopeful hens more at bay :-)
Brian & Sue's daughter makes award-winning preserves and cakes. And there is, for warmer weather than we had, a picnic table on the grass!
Altogether a site we will definitely keep on our "to visit again" list.

A wonderful, quiet and peaceful rural site in the vale of Darney Brook.
It is a very gently sloping site surrounded by dry stone walls with great views up to the surrounding low hills. The hosts were friendly but unintrusive.
There is a pretty new and spotlessly clean toilet and shower block that included a good washing up sink which is always appreciated with a compact camper van

What a fantastic location for setting up camp for a few days.
The views were great, and such a peaceful area. Lots of places to visit in the locality.
The site was spotless, and we received a lovely welcome from the owner.
We will be using this site again.

Just returned from a 4 night stay on this site on a working farm with very friendly owners and beautiful views.
Cleanest facility block we have ever seen!
Storm Ali arrived on our 3rd night meaning the all grass site was quite muddy, the owner offered us a tow with his tractor if needed but we managed to get out without making too much mess on his grass. As we were reluctant to leave, they let us stay in the farmyard which was concrete for our final night and the free range chickens were friendly!
We needed ramps to level the van as the field is gently sloping.
Lots to see and do in the area, we visited Grassington, Burnsal, Fountains Abbey, Pately Bridge, Coldstones Cut, Ripon etc.
Brimham rocks also nearby but the weather was a bit grim to visit this time.
£18 per night with EHU was reasonable we thought.
They also have holiday cottages on site which looked lovely too.
