Wow! Definitely one of our favourite campsites. Immaculately clean and well laid out. So peaceful, a perfect place to chill out overlooking amazing views.

The facilities are the best we’ve ever seen: two bathrooms (shower, toilet and sink) and a dish washing sink in the main barn; another block in the middle of the camp site with two toilets, a dish washing sink, washing machine and tumble dryer; and a well-appointed Elsan disposal point.

There is plenty of local information, maps, etc available in both barn and toilet block. There is a large dog exercise field where dogs are allowed to run off lead; poo bins located at the top and bottom of this field.

The site has recycling as well. Each pitch has an EHU point, water, a drain and a picnic table. We met the owners briefly at check-in; they were welcoming and helpful.

Other than check-in, we saw one of the owners mowing the grass quite frequently. We’re on EE for mobile signal and it was okay, but not a strong reception signal.

The site is ideally placed for touring Cornwall. There is a bus stop nearby and several local walks.

The only very, very small issue we had was the road to the site was quite bumpy with lots of pot holes, so you need to take care when coming and going.

This is a little gem of a site, peaceful & with beautiful views over open countryside.

It’s easily accessible & perfectly placed for visiting all that Cornwall has to offer.

We opted to use the washrooms which were clean & cosy with huge shower cubicles.

There’s no WiFi but excellent 4g.

Already planning a repeat visit.

Cracking little site just south of Truro.

Only 25 pitches, all fully serviced and level with hardstanding a picnic table and a good area of grass surrounding each pitch.

It’s a lovely quiet site, adults only, with each pitch having great open views across the valley.

It sits just off the Bissoe Trail, a 12 mile long walking and cycling trail, which connects Devoran on the east and Portreath on the west side of Cornwall with links to a myriad of trails along its length.

For dog owners, there is a 4. 5 acre field adjoining the site for dog walking or just another quiet spot to have a bite to eat at one of the picnic tables dotted around the field.

Ali and Dave who own and manage the site are lovely and welcoming and being ex-motorhomers themselves have put a lot of thought into the design and management of the site.

During busier times, like now – Easter, Dave runs a small on-site bar for visitors to the site which is a great way to meet with fellow motorhomers.

Pitch fees include electricity and are either £26/night for use of the showers and toilets or £22/night if you choose to use your own facilities.

The facilities are very modern and super clean. There are 2 showers in the reception area both with their own toilet and sink. Washing machine (£4) and tumble dryer (50p/10min).

This was our first visit to Cornwall and having found such a fantastic site, it definitely will not be our last!

Just had a fabulous stay at this lovely site. The owners Ali and Dave made us very welcome and provided lots of useful information to help us enjoy our stay.

All pitches are very spacious with full facilities and we enjoyed a stunning view.

Whilst an Adult only site, dogs are welcome and they were able to enjoy the exercise field where they could run off their leads (and is probably the best set up we have experienced to date), there are also a network of walks from the site.

We will definitely be back and would love to stay for longer as there is so much to do in the area. Thank you Ali and Dave!

 We’ve just returned from another great stay at Carnon Wollas ;

Everything is still top class - huge pitches, fab dog walk, nice clean toilet facilities, plus the addition of another building, housing two more toilets and a laundry.

We love the chilled, peaceful, laid back atmosphere - just perfect for us!

First time of staying on a fully serviced pitch, I like it, site was ok, very quiet and peaceful,

You pay extra for the use of the toilets and showers at booking or you can pay for pitch only,

Lots of space between pitches, new toilets and showers,

Lovely views, bumpy approach road though, good access to other places to visit in Cornwall,

If in Truro again, would consider staying again.

Just what we like! Adults only site with services to each pitch.

Spectacular views from every pitch across the Cornish countryside.

Well maintained by amiable owners.

Ideal location for visits to North and South coasts.
