Spotless, very well kept adult only site with 6 large hard standing pitches. , Anthony very helpful and informative.
Felt safe as gate is locked overnight.
No showers / toilets but they are in the process of being put on site.
Barnard castle about 4 miles away. Bowes village within Walking distance.
Very relaxing 2 night stay.

There is nothing to dislike at this immaculately kept site. The host is helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. The grounds are kept pristine with all grass clipping’s collected.
The whole site looks like a fairway in a championship golf course. One of the best sites we have stayed on in 30 years of caravanning.
We paid £22 per night for a hard standing pitch with 16 amp EHU.
The owner has plans to develop site facilities further to include toilets and showers so should make it even more appealing to those who don’t have their own facilities.

Excellent tidy site with good facilities and friendly owner who is present most of the time during normal working hours.
No toilet or shower which suits us because we have a caravan in order to use our own.
Anthony was very helpful and helped a guy who had a lovely Airstream caravan with a dodgy remote for the mover. He's a big strong lad who will be on hand to help out if required and will always pass the time with a chat.
All Certificated Sites should be like this.

I hesitate to share this superb site for fear it becomes more popular.
Perfectly positioned for the Yorkshire Dales or the North Pennines, easily accessed from the A66
It has hardstandings, a seating area with platform for BBQ.
For those worrying about the composting toilet - don't !
Anthony is a gem, nothing is too much trouble - just do not drive on the grass ! Ask him about his famous relative from 70s TV

Anthony is such a gent. His communication was excellent and whenever people needed assistance he was first on hand to help.
The site is easy to find and on arrival you are struck by how clean and well manicured the site is.
Variety of waste bins, waste water disposal bays and organic toilet, with fresh drinking water available away from waste areas.
I would stay again, so beautiful.

We loved this site, so peaceful, well laid out and perfectly kept. The lack of facilities was no problem for us in a motorhome.
Anthony was very helpful and so knwledgeable about the area. It was a short drive to Barnard castle and parking at the Bowes Museum was easy. We spent an enjoyable day there.
The village itself is small with just a pub and a walk along the river.
We would gladly go back there.

Agree with all the previous reviews - a beautifully maintained site with lovely views in an excellent location either as a holiday venue or as a stop-over.
The hard standings are well defined and perfectly flat and all electrical points are close at hand. The grass is immaculately maintained.
The site has no toilet or shower but is ideal for anyone who is self-sufficient as most modern caravans are.
The owner is pleasant and helpful and the site is to be highly recommended.

Immaculate little site, flat EHU decent-sized hardstanding only pitches, adults and members only. Nice views. We stayed for a short stopover but would've loved to have stayed longer.
Some traffic noise from the A66 but nothing that bothered me despite being a light sleeper.
Beautiful well maintained grass lawn. Facilities clean and tidy - bins, recycling, fresh water tap, chemical disposal.
No showers. One modern compost toilet in a shed which we had to try for research purposes and was impressed with. Grey waste drain near the entrance to site.
Anthony is very friendly, helpful and a great host. I recommend this certificated site.

This is a lovely well maintained little campsite.
The new composting toilet is excellent and the grass as good as befits an ex golf green keeper.
Anthony was friendly, helpful and informative and we had a great stay!
