A lovely location, I liked the vibe, dark skies at night.
Ample clean facilities.
Quiet apart from a little road noise (A1?)
Easy to book, good communication. Allowed me to park up on my leaving day while I cycled in the area before picking up my van late afternoon

We needed a one night stop in this area to visit relatives on the way back south from Scotland, and found this on UKCampsites.
We have had previous positive experience with Greener Camping Club sites, and this one did not disappoint either.
Good booking and arrival instructions, lovely quiet site with spacious pitches and good clean, quirky facilities, all off grid.
We met the friendly owners in the evening after we were settled in.
A great site for a one night stop, or a longer stay.

Excellent location a couple of miles from Morpeth, just off the A1 and convenient for the coast.
Spotlessly maintained communal areas and pitches.
Everyone was super friendly without being in your face.
Plenty of space between pitches. Great choice of options.
Will definitely return!

Lovely wild setting by Tranwell woods I was looking out for red squirrels.
Shepherds hut was spotlessly clean and shower worked well.
Easy travel into Newcastle and to find pubs breakfast and fish and chips, plus up into Northumberland and the borders.

Brilliant campsite for families! Very affordable, peaceful, ample room in each pitch, the toilets and the washing up sink are basic and clean.
There are also small artsy touches to the site, as well as a bit of history.
Sarah and Philip really go above and beyond to make sure everyone has what they need for a great stay.
We highly recommend this site for those staying in the area 😁

The site was 'as described' and perfect for our needs, the toilet/showers were just lovely. Peaceful, quiet site with lovely hosts, very friendly. The most difficult part was finding the site, though I have suggested to the owners a new postcode with easy directions.
No complaints about the site, other than trying to carry a heavy tent, sodden with rain, across the field in pouring rain was not good, its took us over 2 hours to transport all our belongings back to our car in pouring rain.
I would say the biggest problem was transporting the tent and all our belongings without a useful set of wheels. I have camped at other sites like this but they have provided a trolley/set of wheels to transport your tent etc. This would be a big bonus

Padlock on gate to get in so making the site secure
Non electric pitches
Good size pitches
Tents, caravans, motorhome all accepted
All with covid 19 in mind, 1 person in at a time or as a family unit for the 2 toilets and 2 showers in a little cabin, big enough for our needs
Wash pot area
Drinking water
Bins for rubbish
Elsen point and grey waste points, all easily accessible
Box to leave your ice blocks, owners bring them back next day ( we didn’t use This, this time)
Quiet site, we had music on low
Dogs are allowed, some were there and not noisy
Pub the wansbeck cycle ride 10 mins away
Turn left on main road from site gudgeons cafe, further along the road crazy golf

A very quiet, peaceful site. I loved how thoughtfully it was laid out with facilities in a shepherd's hut, a neat area with hardstanding for caravans/motor caravans, and mown pathways and clearings in the meadow for tents.
These were well spaced and I was able to be nice and secluded with only froglets and grasshoppers for company. There are walks from the site and Morpeth is very close by. The owners are friendly and welcoming without being intrusive.
Lovely place for those who prefer natural surroundings when they camp. I can't comment on facilities because I was self sufficient, but they looked excellent.
