The toilet and shower facilities are excellent and cleaned to a high standard.
Despite staying in peak season we did not have to queue for showers and toilets.
There is though only one washing up sink which means we did have to queue to use this.
The electricity was a reasonable price, we had a tent with EHU.
The tent pitches are a fair size.
The site is very close to the airport and near the end of the runway so the planes are very low when flying over the campsite. However, there are not many planes and they do not fly during the night, the most we had fly over was one an hour, apart from the evening the RAF were busy.
Most the people at the site were quiet, one night there was a large group that was noisy until 2 AM and the owners did not enforce the rule about being quiet after a certain time despite complaints. This only happened on one night.
There is a large field for children to play in securely.
Next to the campsite is a garden centre that is a very good price, the cafe there is an option for a cooked breakfast.
There is a Lidl and fish and chip shop a 10 minute walk away.

Given the wet weather we stayed in the carpark parked up amongst 5 other campervans and motorhomes. Nice place in wooded surroundings and very helpful owners. Good basic facilities all of which are very new.
Whilst the toilets and shower block is very nice, it's a rather muddy path to get there that needs finishing. They said it was a work in progress which it is, nice but rough around the edges. Has a water tap and hose to top up water tank, chemical toilet facilities, toilet and shower block (cold inside, could use heating up!) nice outside area, set far enough from the road to not disturb.
Also being on the flight path it wasn't too noisy that with the windows closed we didn't hear the planes, it was January and having checked the airpory website there were only 8 flights a day so not many planes flying over.
Couple of negative points that I would mention:
- The outdoor sink and cleaning area, didn't use it but one sink for the large number of pitches is inadequate and open to the elements.
- Shower block was too cold, needs heating.
- The EHU uses tokens at £1 each, however owners didn't seem able to explain how it charged, We used 1. 25 of the tokens from using internal led lights and the fan for our diesel heater over an 18 hour period.
- No signs to where things are, if owner didn't walk me around wouldn't have known where things are.
- Had called to book given I had issues using their website, on arrival was told they had been very busy and weren't sure where to put us, not a great first impression but they quickly sorted a place in the carpark area. With more experience things could have been handled better.
- Nothing that we could see for children, would have been great to have a play area for our little one.
Will definitely return the next time we need to stay near Bournemouth and keen to see what it's like when finished. Scores based on our experience taking in mind it needs work finishing.

Day 1 quiet on arrival 3pm. Busy by 9pm. Very noisy. Kids running around and being loud. Parents not controlling them.
Day 2 extremely busy and no control by owners as to who parks where. People's cars blocked in. Tents were being pitched too close to others. We felt that pitches need to be marked out and not a free for all.
Ladies shower block clean but big Ques to use them. Men's shower block currently being built and temporary ones in place.
Unfortunately we won't be back as we travel as a couple without children and this place was just too noisy even though there is a 2230pm quiet rule, this was not the case. Location is quite far from the beach.
No cafes near by. Tesco at end of road.
No lighting at all in the field, quiet scary at night if walking alone to the toilet.

Used this site as a base for one of us attending a weekend event in Bournemouth so access to public transport was essential -the #13 route is a 15 mins walk away and runs every 30 mins or so.
Great location with easy access to walks across the heath (one circular route brings you round to the Curlew for a nice pint and a bite in the garden)
A couple of garden centres on the doorstep if you like that sort of thing.
Luckily the site was very quiet when we were there as the facilities wouldn't have coped with the capacity that the site has (10 glamping tents, 20+electric hookups and a large non-electric field) one toilet cubicle and one shower cubicle per gender was barely adequate for the ten or so units that were there during our stay. No pan washing area was also a drawback. Having said that a new facilities unit is under construction so that should improve matters when it is finally completed.
Would definitely go again.

After all the recent rain it was a bit wet to park on the fields but we were able to pitch on an area of hard standing, which had EHU and was close to the toilets, showers, water, waste etc.
The owners were very friendly and helpful, especially given the awful weather.
The showers and toilets were kept very clean, and they are in the process of building a bigger shower block.
Our adult sons joined us for a night. They were supposed to be camping in a tent but were able to rent the beautifully furnished shepherd’s hut for the night. It was fully equipped with its own bathroom and kitchen.
We visited the Curlew pub, which is a short walk down the road. It seems popular, so it’s worth booking for food. There are also two garden centres very close by, each with a cafe.
We look forward to going back again when the weather is better and be able to camp on the field!

Stayed at Homestead for a long weekend and cannot recommend enough, set in beautiful surroundings & family run,
This campsite is ideal for a relaxing break or to visit one the many local attractions.
The owners go out of their way to accommodate all your needs, the toilets & showers are spotless and regularly cleaned & maintained, one of the friendliest sites I have ever stayed on and with added bonus of set in acres of beautiful woodland.
Definitely will be booking again.

Lovely site, friendly staff. Facilities clean and tidy.
Once new toilet/shower block built will be a cracking site.
Once you get used to planes taking off hardly notice them
