The camping field is sheltered from the road by an embankment so there are no sea views.
The all weather pitches include electric hook up, water tap & drain & are flat.
There is an Elsan point & bins at the end of the field.
However we were disappointed with the shower & toilet facilities which were some distance from the camping field.
There was NO shower, only a toilet for men.
Also note the site is not a visitor centre.

Lovely views. Nature reserve opposite excellent for walking the dog.
And the beach beyond that.
I never saw the owner but instructions were on site.
The toilet/ shower is quite away from the site especially if you have the furthest pitch away.
Perfect to get away from it all

Perfect location for us with beach just across road to walk dogs and also to tour about area.
Silloth and Cockermouth well worth a visit. As to this site the information is out of date! Good point first - the hardstanding pitches are level with water and electrics at each pitch.
However, it is a long walk to the toilet facilities and there is no lighting at night. Toilet facilities are really run down, basic and there is only one shower. Small things, attention to detail, missing for example no hooks to hang your towel, no mirrors and no hairdryer.
The cafe, restaurant and garden centre that is listed in campsite details is no longer available and is in a dilapidated state.
Owner seems elderly and it is a shame things have gone downhill from previous reviews. With a new owner or help this could be a great little site

Good base for visiting the Solfest festival.
Nice site set in a lovely area.
Silloth close by my, with Carlisle and the Lakes not too far to drive.
Cumbrian coastline from here down towards Maryport is very nice.

Had a nice, peaceful stay at this site. Our dog loved it too.
A short walk across the road and into the nature reserve and the beach.
Handy base for visiting areas like Silloth, Maryport and other local towns.
Owner very friendly and helpful.

Lovely quiet little site just outside Silloth, flat grass pitch but there are hard surfaces for motorhomes and caravans. Electric and water situated at several points and easily accessable by all.
Found it difficult to find the site owner to ask where to park up as there are several houses but once we spoke to someone we were sent to the correct house. There is an Animal Sanctury on site too and several birds roam around, from Peacock & Peahen to a Swan who didn't want to let me out of the toilet area one afternoon.
Toilet and shower available near the owners house via a path and is used by the animal sanctury. It is a bit of a walk in the middle of the night but it's clean and plenty of hot water, there is a disabled toilet too.
Solway coastal road right outside the site, it's also a cycle route and good access to beach across a field and over the dunes. Good fishing for flounders using bait dug up on beach.
While we were there the privacy bank between the road and the site was covered with beautiful red Poppies.
Silloth is a lovely Victorian town with a large green and lovely wide streets. Local shopping - Co-op, Spar and several takaways from fish and chips, chinese to pizza. We ate out one night at the Cumberland Inn, (booking advisable) it was very good and resonably priced.
All in all it was a very peaceful few days over the Jubilee bank holiday.

Huge pitches with amazing views. Very peaceful site. Across the road from a fabulous Sandy beach and sand dunes that are great for walking the dog. Very friendly owners.
Each pitch has electric and water. Some pitches have sea views. There is a cafe on site. If you love beach walks or cycling then you will love this site. The owners rescue animals and you can watch cows, sheep and horses grazing from your pitch.
A safe cycle route passes the site. Perfect for all the family.
The icing on the cake was watching the most beautiful sunsets over the bay.
We had a trip into Silloth which has plenty of free parking for a motorhome.
This site is one of the best we’ve stayed on.
It will be good for a stop over but you will wish you were staying longer.

The campsite is part of the cafe and nursery. Therefore the facilities have been in a derelict state as the cafe opens in April.
The campsite has been under construction, electricity was available, water unfortunately not.
The entrance is grass, the pitch itself was gravel and levelled. There was a big earth wall between pitch and beach, so interrupted views but noise reduction to the traffic on the road.
Contact worked over mobile number, email was answered with delay.
